Inventory Space, again

With eureka being the main focus of end game now for non raid content, and having 15 classes to get shinies for, my armory space is overloaded with 370/375 gear, and the eureka gear, which is a huge hassle to move to and from retainer every time I go to upgrade a set

The armory space needs a special tab, for relic armor/weapons only, 1 space per relic item really, and only relic items can go there

Nah, you need better inventory management. Between your inventory, 2 retainers (minimum), your armoury chest, your chocobo saddlebags, and the glamour dresser removing the need to store so much gear, there's no reason for your inventory to be overloaded.

I mean, if you really play all classes, 200 glamour dresser spaces isn't even in the same solar system as enough. I only play WHM regularly, and Monk occasonally, and I have one retainer, 175 spaces, JUST full of unique chestpieces, and that's after making some hard choices about what to keep. They need to drastically expand the capacity of the dresser before it can become any sort of a viable solution.

Armory chest is really big now. Can have gearsets for all jobs and still a lot of extra space. You don't need to carry around every antiquated piece that you intend to upgrade in the future. Takes a while to grind so just carry like 3 pieces at a time and work on those first.

That would be helpful. I ran the Alexander raids once, got an assortment of springs and cogs that won’t buy me anything, but I don’t want to throw them out in case I do it another time.

I save mine for the occasional glam item. I hate throwing anything like that away. It is currency because you exchange it for items. Nearly one whole tab of my inventory is filled up with these and primal tokens etc.

Trash any antiquated you have, wait until you have enough anemos crystals for one set, only buy back antiquated for one set when you plan to upgrade it in that same moment.

There's no need to be carrying antiquated gear around on top of 360-370.

SE really needs to stop doing this.

Let's see, there's the atma's, which you need 12 of. Why aren't these in the Key/Quest inventory. Why am I taking them inside the dungeons?
There's the junk you get from doing the fates, that you turn into the beast tribes, because you can do them before you ever get the quest, thus I had all these things from the Kobolds and Sahagins long before the quest for them ever appeared.
There's the beast tribe crafting quests (Moogles and Ixali) which result in needing inventory space to do the crafting segment.
There's all the random untradeable stuff that is essentially tomes from Alexander and Deltascape.

They should just switch to a universal gear currency and simply put a difference of 1000 between each major patch versions gear. Or even just be able to go to the NPC you would use it with and bank them for "store credit".

As for event items, please, let us go to the calamity scavenger and go "I think I have stuff I won't need again" and have all the event items removed from the inventory and banked until the next time that event comes up. So if the event comes up again, go back to them and go "Did I leave anything with you for this event?" and get it back.

For some of the quests involving anima/zodiac/relic, even those should be banked by going to Gerolt and go "Hang on to this for me", and deposit any item involved with any stage of those quests, including the weapons themselves.

Like one panel of my inventory is filled with just junk from the relic weapon quests, raids, event items, and now Eureka adds two more.

Glamour! You know, true end game! There are so many pieces you can mix and match that you don't know how you're going to use it until you see something that combines good. It happened to me. I had this leg piece that I thought I would never wear, but held on to it. Then I saw an opportunity from a chest piece drop I received and paired it with it. Mixed and matched so well it was an instant glamour.

Also dungeon drops are hard for me to scrap since it's all RNG, the chance of me getting it again would be just random and could take forever. For this reason, dungeon drops should be calamity salvageable.

The constant inventory issues stem from not having a seperate inventory for crafting mats. Anyone who crafts will have inventory issues, anyone who does not, probably won't.

Can confirm. Barely craft. Could fill just the saddlebag with everything I got.

Agreed. If I stopped the occasional binge craft and sold off all the craft mats in my possession, I'd be down to actually only needing 1 retainer and a half
