Yeah i said it it makes so much sense to me that he is a clone especially when you find out later on in the story. im 90 % sure on this.

Ooooor, Elidibus body snatched him and they brought the soul back before the body decomposed. Aulus already demonstrated they were researching a soul extraction method that in fact worked. I bet they were working on a mean to preserve the soul from departing after death and... so Zenos was brought back.

I thought echo users were tougher to kill. Like that sahagin in 2.2

Zenos knew he could be brought back he knew if they captured him they can blackmail the empire after all he is a clone while the real one has long been dead or hidden.

This honestly belongs to the lore forum and probably with a spoiler tag that aside they've shown us many hints about the echo and one of which is beign outside the cycle of life and death, which wouldn't surprise me if he was to be alive and well and now finding himself unable to die because like Fordola he now has to bear everything that comes with the echo with no way of really controlling it.

let me further explain im saying that the zenos everyone knew has always been a clone of the original zenos who died from a illness as child his father was desperate to bring him back anyway he can. so they clone him but this was not original he was a monster as soon they all found the emperor realize it felt but could do nothing about it but keep the secret also zenos has no idea he is a clone.

I mean sure cloning is a thing and Garlamuld loves to go backwards with any allagan tech they find out, but we already were told only those of the royal family/court got to use that tech. Kind of how like only those with Andrew Ryan's blood in Bioshock could use the escape death machines. Yes, the allagans seemed to have written down almost everything onto a tome, but I have my doubts that they would have saved that because then the lowely janitor could clone themselves. Also do you really think SE would do the whole Nael thing again, but this time with cloning? Current Emp doesn't seem to think highly of Zenos. At least that's the feeling I got. In that it was a oh damn my weapon broke, but it severed it's purpose kind of thing.

This is the vibe I'm getting as well. He technically never "died", but sorta regenerated elsewhere. Would make sense. That said, these fake deaths are getting kinda old. Sorta cheapens the story a little bit, though the story in this game is certainly not top quality. It's not bad, but I wouldn't call it amazing either.

A lot because this is not a subject for General and is more appropriate for the Lore board where they discuss stuff like this.

I honestly dont care about this, but adding a spoiler image in your post doesnt really make any difference when the spoiler is in your title before people even click on it.

Well, the possibility of the Zenos we met being just a clone was one I have considered as well, though I was of the mind the real one was still alive and well back in Garlemald. I made this hypothesis back in 4.1, but 4.2 has put a bit of a dent in it.

Just a hypothesis either way... and I'm not keen on sharing mine because I have little to no evidence to back it up.

I'm starting to see a pattern with this OP. I think their other thread was also meant for Lore board but they posted in General instead. Then it got moved here and everything seems out of place. Also they really like posting in that weird color.

I think their third thread got deleted and I feel bad for the Lore people now. Not that what is going on with Zenos isn't a bad topic of debate.

Well a lot of us have discussed our Lore Theories on Zenos in the other patch thread when the MSQ was released. I think most of us are caught up but after looking at the OP's other threads, they seem to be craving attention...either that or they are a very bad troll. They seem to go with the typical 'lol shut up' answer to anyone who disagrees with them on the general forum.
