Anemos Crystal to Protean Crystal exchange needs to be streamlined...

It's going to wear out controllers and keyboards if we have to constantly press a single button so much, and I can't just invest in another controller because a company didn't program a specific feature right.

I understand that every single exchange is a dice roll in which you'll either get a minimum of 2 Proteans back, all the way to a max of 5.

Surely there is a way to hand over like 50 Anemos and let the system roll 50 times at once?

I feel like it could still be done, in sets of 10 or 100. Then all that'd have to happen is a check to see the maximum possible attainable. Say you could get 9 protean from 1 anemos, it would require 1 or 2 open spots per 100 traded even if all you got was 200. Heck, it could go one step further and make a new stack for each 100 traded just to ensure nothing funky happens, even if all you get is 200.

So make it boring and just give us 3 per transaction. Then allow bulk transactions.

Also your terminology is off. What I think you mean is single transactions. 1:1 means bulk can happen, just so long as the ratio is maintained.

Right now rate is 3.5 so 100 = 350 average.

Yeah I am in a dilemma now where I have thousands anemos crystals and I am debating whether I should just suck it up and do the 1:1 exchange or hold out for a qol improvement to come in the next couple of weeks.

I can understand why it's done this way, but it can be quite tedious. I'd welcome any sort of change that makes this less of a time sink. (shouldn't have to be a time sink to turn in crystals lol)

if it has to check every conversion, give us an auto button so we can at least only click once and stop when we are bored

Yeah make it auto like Quick Syth.

The solution is just to make it auto convert, essentially just like quick syth as Arion said above.

Just need to let it be automated and it would be fine, even if you had to afk to go do something meanwhile.

Do a few hundred at a time and you'll get through them quickly enough. It really isn't that bad.

I'd rather just have it be a set number than having to convert one at a time. One of my friends has like 6000 because they didn't know about the turn in. It doesn't help that you can only do it IN THE INSTANCE, especially if you're high level and getting multiple invites to drag you to pazuzu.

So does quick sythensis? It only makes sure you have the needed materials and hen produce randomly fails, NQs, HQs, either in stack or, like gear, one item per inventory slot. And cancels if you're full.

We just need an option to exchange X crystals and he loops through the process and cancels it when you have only no slot left. EZ.

They can also just change the 800 small ones steps and maybe the 400 steps to a 250/125 big crystals step.

Problem solved. Probably the easiest solution by far ... also keep the old turn ins, so people who have already exchanged but not spent a lot dont get screwed.

Things quick synth does:
- Calculates the amount of attempts based on amount of materials before the process starts
- Performs RNG check per attempt (synth - success/fail, this - amount of crystals obtained, or what item's obtained from lockbox)
- Cancels the process if you ran out of inventory space regardless of remaining attempts

I have no idea why they don't use this system for more things in the game, it's so elegant. No one would even hold it against them for it still taking so long, we just want it automated

No it doesn't. Take the logic it's doing now, wrap it inside a For loop for however many times you want to do it, return the final result to the client. This is programming 101.

I talked about it over here.

On PC, I realized I could just hit 0 on my numpad once the "next" screen was up and so I just sat there and spammed that key while watching Netflix lol. But yeah, really poor design with the amount of anemos we get >.<

Currency system with 3/1 protean to anemos exchange rate would have been better. How to fix it now? Not sure if you can convert it to currency with the rng exchange. That is all hindsight though.
