Tank is tanking at spawn point and the monster spawn and we wipe...
Pretty sure the entire train that got completely derailed over the weekend by Hazmat should be posting in here. Apparently a healer hero kept them all from losing exp.
Was fighting big fat cyclops NM and dude legit thwapped me upside the head so hard I flew clear out of the huge "You are near a notorious monster" circle.
People I seem to get into parties with the exception of a few have been idiots, can't figure out how to stick to your spot and chain 30, instead ooh shiny effect pops up and then it spirals downhill into disbands.
At this rate I might hit 20 by next week...The more I play it the more I come to hate NM zergs, it's just too laggy and impossible to target anything, dodge, or the likes.
I honestly feel like should just remove the instant cleaves from all of the standard Eureka mobs at this point and turn them into single target attacks instead so they'll just kill the dummies who aggro them instead of everybody.
It just begs for drama when it's so easy to kill other players accidentally or otherwise when like 90% of the enemies in the zone can cleave for whatever reason.
In the middle of fighting scorpions to spawn Serket and I see a snake phasing in and out of view. Knowing their little cleaves all to well I use Aspected Benefic to shield myself and was relieved upon surviving the invisible attack with 10 hp left. Unfortunately that relief lasted all of half a second as I fell victim to the cleave of a second invisible snake.
Just about every NM, every man and his dog bringing trash mobs to wipe a bunch of people, NM disappearing, healer not being able to see their party members, but even with all the death and people crying, I still love it :D
Oh, wait! I do have a horror story. Bears, man. Just bears. We only ad one tank in our party and we were on a 7 chain - tank was doing good interrupting the savage swipes...then I guess he just forgot to stun one swipe and this particular bear killed in an instant. Next thing we know, the bear is cleaving the rest of us - 3 DPS went down in an instant. I was the only one in the party over level 5. Fear of losing exp made me extremely patient while my party made their way back to me.
The horror is people rushing to the NM and pulling whole neigbourhood with them, killing healers in process. Feelsbadman.
Snakes in a FATE!
That's all.
Died helping my friend do a quest - entire FATE train ran past me and literally not a single person out of 60+ rezzed me. Friend had to return to town and slowly make her way back so I wouldn't lose exp.
People bragging about pulling cleaving enemies on to the buff elemental has become a pretty regular occurrence in the instances I visit. I don't think SE thought through how common it is for people to hurt harmless and/or helpful things for easy attention in the west.
Also lots of shouting creepy sexual things about Lalas.
I was around level 15 and on Paladin. My party was all around the same level too. We decided to try and pop Cyclops NM while the zergbus done Ziz/Dino.
A few Cyclops into our chain I get a 90k error right after shield lobbing the next Cyclops. I log back in to find our party wiped and no others around to raise us. But it wasn't the Cyclops that killed them, the weather changed and the Typhoon Sprites popped and magic aggro'd everyone. On top of this almost everyone was doing Pazuzu at the time since the weather changed to Gales, hence why we wiped to those Typhoon Sprites. My party members began shouting for help, some of them with hilarious comments and some offering various bodily services for these raises. :3
We thought this was going to take too long for people to get to us and we'd auto-return. We were on the other side of the map after all and most of the train that was doing Ziz/Dino jumped on the Pazuzu wagon since it was close by. After about 8 minutes of waiting and shouting we were getting ready to take that gut punch of an exp hit and/or delevel. Then this cute little Miqo'te WHM comes around the corner and casts raise on one of us...then another person shows up...and another.
Many hugs were had and some...funny comments to our heroes. #FeelsGoodMan

I have to convert Anemos Crystals.
- when you die more often as a healer (because healing seems to aggro the sneks dragged in the FATE) than as dps
- I joined an NM group that started with spawning Serket, and having to run to other spots (I think White Rider spawned first, then Bombadeel, then another I forget) and back, and all that running had aggroed a few mobs along the way; sometimes I was lucky enough to outrun them but more often I get one-shot just a few feet from the aetheryte or far away from my party
- Zu Slams! to dps or not because you can barely see if the ol' Zu's facing to slam you or that person in beside you. people have tried containing them far from the group but they still find a way..! T___T
- right as you join your group you get hit by the monoeye's lightning or anala's shadow thing which you don't see because just a second ago you were out of range!
Oh yeah... primary healing in Eureka and it's like... I need to recover MP from all the ressing but if I hit assize, all mobs will magically turn to me as if I've done the worst pun in the world.
Bit of an ass move if you ask me.
Being alone and getting no help because I was busy in RL and was unable to grind 24/7 at release, I'm just running around alone at lvl 1 while everybody is camping the 20+ zones.
But even now, it's pretty much impossible to do since I work full time and can only play 4-5 hours in the evening and you need to 24/7 grind it. Guess Eureka was aimed for the 'nolife' players and not something for casual so I should just continue lvl my last few DPS jobs trough roulette's in the evening and skip this Eureka chizzle.
I play about 2-3 hours a day at best and I'm at level 12 about to hit 13... fairly sure I have life tho.
Shout inside for low level train or group with lvl 5ish people, or ask friends to come with you. I went to help level 1 and 3 in the weekend with some friends. We spawned the low level NMs to help them up. They are now pass level 9 as far as I know. It's not as bad. People do help one another from what I've seen over the last few days. :)
Not everybody is as nice as you though.
Of course there are people that help but the change is much lower vs people who don't help. People will only help if it's beneficial for them. Those high lvl players are only interested in those 20+ zones and NM's.
Hell even asking for a raise and you get a reply 'L2P nab' and they won't raise you, but then I point them on that title you can get for raising people and suddenly I was raised.
There aren't really good FC's on Omega and the 5 friends I had stopped playing months ago. I have 1 friend but it's been + 2 weeks now last time we talked / played, she's very busy with University.
So there's that.
I often do stuff for randoms and help them, you seem to do that too but people helping others is really something that doesn't happen often. At least not on EU/US datacenter.
That's a bummer ... :/ if you were in Primal I'd have helped out. I've so far seen mostly helpful folks in my runs, both with and without a party. Maybe I was really lucky. The last party I was in on my own offered to carry the lowbies on their mounts when we went to the higher level NM areas. It was really sweet. I'd suggest to just leave and go in another instance if you happened to be with a sour party.
Being a healer with those sneks. ;_;
There were so many people at cyclops/poly that the draw in was pulling me in when I was halfway to dodging it at a couple seconds delay when he was already half way into his cast making it impossible to actually dodge his swing even if you moved immediately. Madness.
Another time Fafnir used Heavensfall and the aoe circles literally were culled. Everyone in melee range on his left flank got flattened by it because the telegraphs didn't load.
Lol I was in that tragesty of an instance with that train. No one was attacking the blue boss and a lot of people were lower leveled. All seemed lost, dozens of dead bodies on the floor shouting for help. It was dark and grim, no one wanted to lose their EXP. Then our savior came, I believe he was a RDM actually, and then the rezzing began. We tried again and bet the boss. Though our Savior left us because we were scrubs compared to him and he wanted to find an instance that had a chance of beating Pazazu :,)
THIS. I spend 1-2 hours in Eureka per day and I'm almost 14. there are many helpful groups, and the NM train it seems has split up now to accommodate different level ranges. PF helped me a lot with this too, I still see people forming 1-5 exp grinding groups. once you're high lvl enough, learn from shout where the train is, join it, and ask if any party has room for you. I've been "adopted" by a several high-level parties (all above 10 except me) that basically carried me through several NMs. I didn't get loot at first due to the level gaps but in 1 hour I gained at least a level.
I have nothing to share personally at this time. But man, just watching other Bards use Foe's at NMs surrounded by trash mobs... You are literally jumping into a tank of sharks covered in blood and raw meat.
I had a bunch of time in the area where the fate train is trying to spawn Old World Zu and tanks (and possibly other roles) try to aggro plantoids for that large aoe line, killing dozens <.<
I'm still like level 3 as my internet has been out all week... decided to explore the area as best as I could... a level 19 spots me and attacks... I get hit for 160000 hp... I only have 24k hp...
I literally can't stay awake in grinding parties :(
did the white knight fate. It was just about finished when some invisible aggroed mob smacked me down (pretty typical). so someone raises me when the fate is over. So, all good so far. I had return up, so used that. While I'm returning, some mob hits me again. By this time the train is leaving.... but the last healer out tossed me a raise, so phew.... or so I thought until I realised even though I'd not returned, it was now on cooldown - and the tunnel was now full of mobs that would splat me - yep, 15 minutes hiding under a rock in a cave hoping no mobs spy me. There's got to be something better than this....
[0:06](î‚”Ragnarok) kidding me finish the fate i opened? and no res?
[0:07]The party has been disbanded.
Joined a party, the above happened as said player invited me *of course I removed his/her name.
Other than that, the usual Zu RKOs are always horrifying to watch.
My horror story is pretty much every time I've gone in there. Most recently, today, people wanted to spawn Amarok. I thought "cool, more crystals". Fought hydras for a bit, no real issues. Then....Amarok spawns. Everyone and their mothers are pulling hydras from around the room, and proceeded to nearly wipe the entire horde of people. Tanks also wouldn't tank Amarok in the middle of the room to avoid said hydras, which compounded things. I ended up dying myself, but when I received a raise, I immediately hit Return. First time I've actually done that during an NM. It was...bad. Really bad. No crystals, but it was totally worth avoiding that bloodbath.
