I tried it once...likely will get hit with the reset bug....been busy crafting....I'll be honest.
Totally fun.
Don't care what the fools are ranting on about...they have no bloody clue what they are talking about.
Is it perfect? No...but is anything?
Its a refreshing change....and it enforces good team/party qualities.
I love it and look forward to going back.
having a blast , finally a proper endgame content for me
really enjoying how unique each mob and fate feels in high levels plus all the breathtaking areas
Best fun I had outside of savage in a long time. It seriously could do with more activities but I do enjoy what is there.
I love how the mobs are actually dangerous. I feel like I'm exploring a proper no-man's land. There is real risk in exploring, real risk in taking on mobs higher level and real risk in pulling something you haven't fought before. I honestly found it so thrilling to find pathways between mobs that could one or two shot me while I was looking for a quest item.
I don't feel superbly powerful in Eureka and I love it.
I'm having a lot of fun :) My party is right now lvl 15+ and we usually just go around EXP chaining 20+ mobs and it feels so good when we're the one's responsible for popping a high level NM. We get the bonus of the chains by the time it does pop too so usually around 9k exp and it doesn't feel like a grind like before compared to older FFXIV content. It feels more like exploring a world and daring to go poke the next group of high level mobs to see if we can take them on and feeling accomplished when we actually can. I love it a lot ^^
I love this place. It's simply amazing. The notorious monsters at the upper levels are super cool. I can't get enough of it at the moment and can't wait to see the next itineration of relic and what they have planned.
It brings back the old school MMO feel. I love it.
Greetings from Primal data center! \o/
Once one removes the grind idea off their heads, it's tad fun with a party. Breaks are highly recommended! My wrist is hating me this morning lol I hit lvl 8 last night, close to 9, upgraded my weapon twice. Met some fun folks on the way! :D I'm enjoying the sneaking aspect! I was worried no one will bother with resses but I was wrong (so far!)
its nice how lively it is and it gives me RO nostalgia feel. I hope it stays as lively for a while!

Its a nice break from the tome and raid grind into some social content. If you go into eureka alone or plan to solo, you probably wont have fun. For the first time since large fate exp parties, ive enjoyed a large social experience. My ffxiv buddies plan to do Non NM parties for exp and just general socializing and crystal grinding.
Eurekas Lit.
I like actually doing world content, and helping other plays get around the zone. And the NMs are quite exciting!
This is my appreciation:

It could use work (as everything does) but I think it’s a good start and nice to see the devs trying to try new things.
More fun things to do inside besides fate grinding and things like daily quests or objectives would go a long way to make the content even better
Yeah, he unsubscribed an alt account with character's achievements all obtained in 2013.
My first impression was really poor, but now I’m really loving it! I want more things added as it’s not perfect, however I’ve been having a lot of laughs. :) I want to grind it everyday!
I went ahead and changed my forum profile to the character I had been playing on. Not that I'm obligated to, but I felt compelled to let you eat crow. Granted, if I still had an active sub and cared about playing, you're the exact type of person who does more against communities than for them.
Unlike Divine, my criticism is directed at SE and is not personal attacks toward other players.

My first impression wasn't that great but we went in with friends and I had so much fun it actually surprised me ^^ So yeah, it's refreshing and I grew to like it ^^
I actually do appreciate Eureka in the sense that it was the final thing to get me to unsubscribe as I was on the fence and was waiting on seeing how Eureka turned out; I had given the dev team the benefit of the doubt far too often and my optimism was clearly unfounded, but I still gave them Eureka as a final chance. While it might not be the common way you'd want the content to be appreciated, I've found an appreciation for it in what it did for me rather than how it was designed as content. It was the final confirmation of whether or not new and interesting content would be made and whether or not I'd still be playing. To that end, I appreciate it for settling a question I've had since Stormblood launched and before then with Diadem 2.0.
If you equate canceling my subscription to hate rather than apathy for the development cycle of the game, that's on you. But I'm probably more appreciative of Eureka on a deeper level than most of you.

Things are so scary in Eureka I don't usually take the time to take screenshots, but I was able to snag a few recently! The safest place to be is with the NM fate train. It's also a lot of fun running with a big crowd of people. We are like ninja ants, dodging all the mobs!
Only thing I truly liked about Eureka and I hope they won't change it : we really are in danger. You can't be wandering around on your own and rush through the mobs. You have to be really careful.
We need to communicate, the content encourage teamplay, share info. Ask for raise, regen and all that kind of stuff you can almost ignore in the vast majority of the content.
Even of pf for extreme or savage, people don't feel that concern about the rest of the party. (not every party, I know, but the feeling I had in general).
Why do people canceling their sub feel like they have to let the entire world know they do ?
"Hey look ! I'm canceling my sub ! Take a good note ! I'm really doing it"
Yeah and so what ? It doesn't bring anything, we don't care.
Besides, that thread hasn't been made for that so please. There are already a lot of thread to talk about how Eureka isn't that great. Go on those, thank you.
I didn't particulary like it either, yet I did it until the end and I shared point I actually really liked and that's all.
Eureka is a lot of fun. There are lots of mobs that can kill you if you wonder in the wrong places. The fates are pretty fun in it too. Also there is a lot more team work in it compared to all other content. I would say it's one the most refreshing things they have added since launch of stormblood.
Eureka get's a lot easier at higher levels and becomes way more fun when the higher level bosses are no longer one shooting you every time a cast bar appears. I like that.
As a vet from the old-school days of mmos im loving eurika its the right amount of grind and the feeling you get when a nm spawns its a rush and its fun and gives me a reason to party up with friends i wouldn't normally party up with regularly
They actually don't give you a text box to enter anything in when unsubscribing unlike other MMOs (even Ultima Online did that around two decades ago), so it's productive to let them know on the forums on your way out exactly what led you to quit if you care enough about the game that you hope it changes in the future. I haven't made "exit posts" or contributed constructive criticism in other threads for games I've had no intention of ever playing again (The Old Republic was the most recent one I can think of).
However, if I were really just doing it for the attention, you all would just be validating it. Food for thought I suppose.
They actually do have this now (earliest I can confirm this for was in 3.4), although it's not very open-ended. You're given a list and you choose only one (mine was "I have run out of things to do"), but honestly that doesn't give a lot of context beyond when I unsubbed.
Yeah, I chose the "no longer interested in playing" option, but it's not a text box. The only place to really give anything beyond that is on the forums or via email, and I don't know if those emails actually get anywhere based on when I've contacted SE for support in the past.
I appreciate Eureka for the fun (to me) grinding with friends / a nice 'open world' feel break from roulettes and such, and kinda 'forces' more cooperation and communication. Plus, people are generally really nice on my data center with even 'ambulance' squads going around at random raising people halfway across the map. Plus, cowgirl glamour...
