It seems when there is tons lots players my monitor flashes to black for a few seconds. the gpu i have is a GTX 1070. monitor is a vs248.

it has happened a few times before in ivalice. But has been happening very often in Eureka. when it is about to happen everything freezes for a few seconds.

Thank you for the update Kuo.
It sounds like something is interfering with your graphics drivers (that would also explain the Directx crashes).
I would suggest doing a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. Make sure that you do not have any other programs or overlays running when playing the game.
Also try using Directx 9 mode.
Can you provide a system report from the FFXIV launcher? It might be more helpful that the full dxdiag report. Go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

UPDATE got a message that says: application ffxiv.exe has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware, after a crash. At times there where dots of other colors before the crash.
