If we ever get Fairy glamours...

Maybe we could get Airy (Eos) and Anne (Selene)? Eos already kind of looks like Airy as is.

Could be a good way to have a Bravely Default/Second/Whatever event, too.

Long overdue QoL change; more SMN glam options would be good, too. At the very least, let me switch the appearances between the two; I almost never need Eos, but her color scheme matches my wardrobe a lot better.

Also digging the ability to glamour with minions. Having one of my wind-up dolls as a combat companion would be a dream come true!

Was pretty sure we were told in no uncertain terms this would never happen since Faeries arent Egis they won't be able to be glamoured.

Egi glamours were a thing because summoners were promised a long time ago to get additional egi's which obviously never happened, the glamours were a compensation for that faeries are viewed as more unique.

From a lore perspective Lilly the (The WoL's faerie) is her own seperate entity with her own thoughts and feelings not like an egi which a manifestation of a primal's aether iirc.
Also Yoshi is on record as saying, scholars will not recieve glamours because faeries arent Egi's in a Q&A that I dont care enough to go looking for. Theres been many many threads on this but it's not going to happen so why waste time asking for it?

The entire reason egi glamour was implemented was because the development team went back on their promise to give summoners multiple summons aside from spiky, baked potato, and the neon yellow eyesore, because they didn't want to balance them. They've barely even implemented what was already promised to summoners, like specifically I can recall them mentioning shiva, ramuh, and sephirot being glamours for summoners later and I think more on top of that.

The SB questline for scholar hinted at us getting another fairy next time so it's not like we've been neglected either.

All I want is to be able to turn them into carbuncles. Specifically Alphinaud's obsidian and moonshine carbuncles.

Yoshi-P saying faeries wouldn't get egi glamours because they're not egi is just him being cheeky with semantics.

They could get faerie glamours, or faerie outfits (think like equippable chocobo barding, but as cute little dresses <3)

Indeed, I would also love to dress up my little fae. ^^ Aren't made out of aether, too?

Say that the longer you learn to manipulate Aether the easier it becomes to control it. Scholars are not expecting to get this when SMN comes out, but we would love if you could give us some glamour options (Carby!) since a large part of the framework has already been completed.

Fairies are aetherical constructs with memories attached to their soulstone. Also, mythology points that fairies can typically glamour themselves.

I love when people come into topics like this JUST to tell people to stop asking for something. How on earth is SE supposed to know what their playerbase wants if no one asks for anything? And just because they say no once, why should people stop asking? thank the gods I'm not the only one! Yes please a darker colors scheme would be fantastic. Or any faerie glamour for that matter.

Because it's been asked before we knew when it was implemented it was SE's way of saying sorry you wont get Egi's we promised but here's this instead. The playbase also has the equal right to say "No we don't want this we want other content instead". If people don't inform SE that there's a portion of the community that doesn't feel we need it, how are they suppose to know if we don't ask them to stop posting? Neither side is wrong. Also, she's saying to stop because we already have enough threads over something they already know about. Why keep beating a dead horse over something they won't give us? Like bunny ears for males. We have hundreds of posts about that made all the time, and still don't have them. After awhile it's just annoying to see more and more threads made to beat a dead horse.

Normally you would have a point but in this case you don't, reason being is they haven't even followed through on the whole egi glam for SMN, what makes you think they're going to submit to the players on this when they haven't even followed through on what they said they were going to do?

It's nice to want something but there's a whole heap of things that need to be done before they should work on a glam for faeries.

Let me just say first that I'm flattered that my humble post offended you so much that you not only had to tell me how wrong I was, but had to get your friend or alt to do it too. Being told I'm wrong in stereo by twin catgirls has never actually been a dream of mine, but now I'm wondering if it should have been.


Now more seriously:
'Badgering' the devs over and over is proven to be the best and sometimes only way to get things fixed in this game. See also: Glamour log, the male bunny suit and unequal gender locks in general, Grand Company-based PvP...They fixed the last one and are working on the first two, only because the players didn't stop asking even after the devs laughed the requests off time after time. Heck, we might even get butt sliders eventually, considering we finally got a different and more positive answer the last time it came up. The point is to show them it's not a waste of time, by showing how much interest there is (and considering how many views and likes some of these repeat topics get, there obviously is).

'How I interact with the world' isn't relevant to this discussion except as a sad attempt to attack me personally. We're talking about a product which we are paying money to use, and which it is the developers' jobs to keep up in such a way that we are enticed to continue doing so. As long as we're not rude or abusive about asking for things, it is absolutely our right to do so.

You're also absolutely within your rights, as long as you're not being rude or abusive about it, to ask for something not to be done. Go make a topic so the devs know you feel that way! Coming into a topic JUST to tell people they shouldn't be talking about that topic is pretty rude, though.

Regardless of whether you're right or wrong, the similarity in the images is AWFULLY suspicious...

I'm all in for fairy glamours, the ones we have atm aren't in any way any more 'special' that the original egis. So that is no excuse, if anything, egis were 3 different small companions which made them more unique than the fairies.

Fairies are reskin of one another, glowing in different colours. This little explanation is for those of you that never took a closer look and have nothing better to do that being the devil's advocate in this thread. Let people ask for stuff, if you don't like it, excuse yourselves from the forums. Devs have their own leaders that decide what will be done. They don't need you deciding for them.

Furthermore, games based on communities (any MMO for that matter) depend on the communities' feedback. So sit down and relax.
