I love, love, love the imitation windows (BUT LET US PUT THEM ON PARTITIONS/OVER REAL WINDOWS *cough*). What I would love to see next are dynamic windows. They don't need to reflect what's actually outside (and I'd rather they not, I don't want to look at my neighbor's moogle house inside as well as outside) but rather, generic scenes from the housing ward. The beach. Palm trees and fountains. A grass-lined street with flowers and trees that sway in the breeze. We already know they can get time-of-day tracking, because the imitation windows can track the sun as it moves through the sky, and they can track positionals, because east windows get the sun rays before west windows do. This means they could show a different scene based off which side of the house they're on, and it could look consistent from side to side.
It would make rooms feel so much bigger! (In b4 'server limitations', I'm sure there are reasons why they can't, but I can dream :D)

I can't remember if I posted or not on the suggestion thread, but I always though it'd be neat if they could link up some windows to a skybox. Maybe one with some torn flailing curtains with a storm outside, or a nice sunny day with some birds flying around. It'd probably have to be limited to the base walls to work, possibly event replacing the current windows. Kind of a dream house feature and not likely one within the scope of this game's dev team. :(

As much as I would love to have an actual view out of my window I doubt it will happen anytime soon if at all. That would mean a lot of processing power of the servers to keep those "screen savers" running all the time I would assume (not a pro sorry).
Also I can already hear the whining about how plastering one whole side of a house with windows ends up showing 30 times the same image instead of one huge scenery as it should. I guess that stays a dream. -

A simple solution could be having a setting that turns off internal windows - so you could place your own.
Though having recently plastered half of my small house with immitation windows - I have more or less successfully hid the original windows with that. -

I want to look outside. It doesnt matter if its real or not. Still better than those standard
LED-Panelswindows. Especially the normal Shirogane-windows make me feel like living in a prison.
You can also implement some kind of balcony for private rooms. Just something where you can step out a bit and watch a generic background (forest, beach, whatever). Still better than glowing windows.

??? I have 10-20 windows on blank partitions in my houses, you can do it...you're asking for something that does actually exist. Look online to see them on partitions. Lots of people doing it. However, you cannot put over existing windows that I know of.

Same here. It would save a lot of data have a internal fixture like the house skins where we have a dyeable wall, easy to stick windows.

For walls, there should be a generic 'white dyeable' like the stage partitions if you don't want the papers. And then the windows can go anywhere.Quote:
