Additional Mount Requests

Hey,

I'd like to suggest if possible, we could get additional mounts? Although we have a good amount of mounts, most of them are from primals or beast tribes. There aren't a lot of "general mounts" in game. I think it would be good if we used the existing assets in game and turned them into mounts that you could get from different things, FATE drops, achievement points, special quests, etc.

I think lore wise it makes sense that some of the existing beasts would be tamed and used as mounts in game. I've listed some below from just floating around Stormblood regions today as examples of existing monsters that could be turned into mounts and introduced this way, but there are a lot more obviously that I haven't included.

What's everyone's thoughts?

Wisent
Typhon (already rideable in Sigma)
Bloodglider
Gyr Albanian Hornbill
Baras
Steppe Dzo

I am all for new mounts but what about more content in open world?

I would love to see open world 8 player raids, 5 player dungeons, 2 player or even solo dungeons in open world. Basically all mounts are good for is gathering, beast tribe quests, leves and fates... which 90% of that content is for leveling up jobs. The other 10% is used for end game maps and end game gathering. WHY?

So what is the point in having new mounts when 90% of the open world content are mostly used for leveling up? yes you can use mounts in pvp but pvp is also used by a very small player base.

I am all for new mounts like Job base mounts like a umbral/astral floating orb for blm... I digress my point is we need more open world content. I would also like to use mounts in all city locations... seriously i can use my mount in the housing area but not in the cities? I hate the new sprint and it sucks getting around now.

A kelpie definitely. I kinda want a water themed wolf, too. With bubbles and the like flying off it like the Levi horse and the Bismarck bird. Unless.. that's already been done. :o But i doubt it.

Nothing would make me happier!

I would like a four/eight man mount. Although I'd hate to see the price on MS.

I think that, like WAR, DRK, PLD, and CNJ, every Job should get its own mount for sticking with it.

It swims, it hovers over land and it can (apparently) fly.

It's practically begging to be rideable.



-but if you can't keep it out of the leaderboards of that neglected trashcan fire, then forget I even mentioned it.

To be fair, if CNJ can get a class quest specific mount at such a low level then it wouldn't be bad to allow the other healers to get a unique one too. Maybe one for the caster group and physical group as well possibly.

The tanks would still have their mounts, hell they get more with every expac so it's not like that are suddenly going to be forgotten if other classes/jobs got a bit of the action.
