Grand Company Supply/Provision Quotas

Hello SE devs,

Can we please remove the quotas from supply/provision missions, or massively increase them? For the third week in a row I have logged in only to find the items already completely maxed out. For instance, this week in Ul'Dah for the fishing item Crimson Crayfish was chosen. Between me and a friend, we have enough Crimsons laying around to easily max that out, much less compete with an entire server.

The quotas may have worked decently the first few weeks, but now that people are getting an idea of what might be up to cash in, it's just turned into a game of who can camp the NPC when JP midnight hits and screw everyone out of seals.

Update:
I've read a couple posts saying this week the requested items reset back to the same values as week 1 (Chart). If this is true (and assuming the weeks follow order) people will be able to load up for an entire week then camp the NPC knowing exactly what he'll want upon reset. The problem is already bad, this is just going to make it a million times worse.

Selbina's Maelstrom capped Mistletoe within an hour this morning. I had 300 ready for turn-in, but no :(

If they increase the quota though, you're going to potentially have issues reaching the cap on some items and then it'll be difficult to unlock the additional item for some weeks. Because of that, I'm torn whether or not I want them to actually increase the caps; if they do, I hope they find some other way to allow the extra item to unlock.

I agree with this post 100% but, until it's fix if it gets fix i suggest to start putting a spread sheet together of what each thing offers, and take note till it repeats or who knows one may already be out their for you to pick info and add too. Also Supply/provision missions always change Sunday in America @ JP 12:00 a.m. so if you already know what is gonna be next or already have that set your alarms and be their first. The early bird gets the worm. Like is said tho On Point of the topic above I completely agree with the above statements and especially when the server merge happens.

Except there's no way to know ahead of time what is going to pop up. That Google Doc is simply a list of ALL the weeks of GC Supply and Provision so far. It has never reset so far.

A system with a static timer that never changes was never going to work.

If you have plans Sunday at 10am est then your screwed on your supply chances for the week~ (With the easier turn ins)

There is about 100 people camping the turn in NPC and it increases each week.

This just rewards the hardcore and is a big FU to the casual player.

It just reset to week 1 today

They could put a cap on how many items you can turn in every 24hr.

Items reset to 0 after a maintenance, but the item type remains.

Like clockwork every week, there's somebody that complains about the quotas. Not that they're unfounded in their grief over this system.

I understand that they wouldn't be buying infinite amounts of whatever they're looking for this week but the devs could probably decrease the seals given from turning in equipment and increasing the quota for that. If one is to make it another material-sink, then they haven't gone far enough in adjusting the numbers. Some more variety in the supply/provision (especially supply) quotas wouldn't hurt either.

OR maybe they can change the item requested more than once a week? Even if they increased the quotas by double, remember 5,000 yew branches were submitted in 5 minutes.

Quotas don't need to be changed, but there is a "bonus" item system already up. So when the quota for an item is filled just remove that item and request another. When that is filled remove that one and request another. That way the quotas remain (so that people can't get infinite seals for one item) And the supply/prov remains available so that people aren't completely locked out.

How is this not a broken system?

Like some in my LS said, it would be cool if it was personal quotas, then the number could be lower, that way everyone could have a go at it without having to worry about making sure they are on when the reset happens, only hardcores, getting 4/7 supply/provisioning stuff filled in less than 40 minutes kinda sucks >.<

To everyone who chose Immortal Flames as their GC out of convenience, sorry... but the devs did warn us that there would be both advantages and disadvantages for choosing the same GC as everyone else. This is a good example of a disadvantage.

Actually, Immortal Flames are at an advantage when it comes to seals. There are a lot more of them. They can easily pull together a Chocobo Caravan party for much seals. Maelstrom on Fabul is stuck a lot of times doing Supply and Provisioning because they can't get a Chocobo Caravan together as easily or as often.

Even though there are loads of them in the Maelstrom command at reset... eh... they are mostly JP, it's like midnight and won't be interested in a caravan party with a language barrier.

Thanks for the logic injection. Although chocobo wasnt mentioned as the problem, it is indeed a workaround.

I think this week is especially fast because many people knew it will loop back to week 1.
Maybe all these 8 item slots should be random within the current 8 of same kinds in one category. I rather there is a chance for 2 weeks it needs walnut logs than instant filled because people have been saved for whole week(s).

However, if no one knew it will loop back (only I did) but it did, it's sweet XD... that's how people get rich too... since only I get rich, it's all ok. /dance
But come to think about it... these on-clock GC items campers... maybe they deserved it since they ... nonono they are bad! since I woke up late, it's all full!
If it's random and someone guessed it, well Guardians want this guy be rich then...
and if someone had stored 500 of 64 type of items, well this person should be rich since he/she works hard, at least paid a lot for retainers...

• random weekly items

can we please have personal quotas? just lower the quotas across the board and make them personal. i'm really glad that a handfull of people are able to fill these quotas in about 10 minutes (i'm not) but if i can't get on at jp midnight i'm not going to be able to turn shit in.. maybe a couple toadskin jackets.
