Regarding some Housing QoL changes folks would like to see...

A few friends and I were discussing things we'd really like to see added to housing.

- More door partitions which match existing partitions.
- Fix the z-fighting happening when you place two items within each other.
- Fix the issue where placing tabletop items on shelves with grid snap on is a crap shoot as far as whether it goes where you want it to.
- Fix the troupe and round stages so all furnishings can be placed on them.
- Add installable lofts with stairs.
- More cutout partitions which match existing walls and paritions other than the white ones. The textures on the walls do not match.
- Curtains and drapes.
- Actual canopy beds WITH canopy curtains.
- Bigger exterior fixture windows
- Bay windows.
- Allow the false windows to be placed on partitions instead of solely on static walls without abusing a glitch.

- Shared alt housing on one account. Allow visitors to select at the front door of the house which character's instanced interior they're walking into.

1. Able to remove all furniture either by floor or entire house. Useful for when redecorating the entire house.
2. Ice box or magitek fridge
3. Craftable glamour dresser
4. Toilet
5. Increase outdoor furniture
6. Ability to remove interior railings

- Increase outdoor furnishing limit for small houses at least.
- Make Chocobo stables, mini Aetheryte, and possibly mailbox into outdoor fixtures so they don't take up outdoor item slots since those are essential.
- Ability to remove pillars inside houses. (Not the corner pillars)
- Have Open Partitions customizable like Blank Partitions where you can put your own wallpaper on them.
- A version of the Open Partition without the bottom table part.

Seconding the following things:
1) Please allow us to automatically share our one personal house across all of our alts on the same server now that we can only have one personal house per world. Let this be separate from tenants.
2) Wall-mounted lofts! So many of us are creating this with glitches and it makes housing so fun!
3) Removing the pillars on the walls, it would really be nice to shove items flush against walls without the pillars in the way.
4) Fake Windows on Wall Partitions instead of just on real walls.

I think I second every single one of these, but some big ones for me (some repetitive):

- Since the interior of homes are instanced anyway, please let us have separate instanced interiors per each character on our account on the same server now that we can only have one home per account. Even if/when the one home per account rule is lifted, it would cut down on people buying multiple homes so they can have a house for each alt.

- Give us a loft item. So many people have been utilizing different glitches to make them. Just makes our lives easier.

- Increase outdoor furnishing slots.

- Get rid of the miniature-aetherytes. Spare us an outdoor housing slot and let people automatically be able to teleport to their house. Seriously, I don't know why this was ever a thing.

- Have an interior item that's a table + chairs. There's an exterior item like this and it's great, but an interior item like this would be even better. Lots of people have homes themed as tavern, restaurants, cafes, etc. where chairs and tables take up a lot of housing slots just to have ample seating for people.

- Destroy the pillars sticking out of the walls. Or at least let us place items on/near them.

-Alternatives to some intractable items, especially the orchestration. As much as I love finding new and creative ways to hide that gaudy thing, it's a bit tiresome.

-The ability to choose between sizes for certain items. Kinda weird that a potion bottle is twice the size of my face, some platters don't even fit on certain surfaces, and I can't sit at my table without squishing my poor thighs or clipping through.

-/Doze on couches. Maybe a flat, towel-like item that can be placed on floors and other surfaces to allow for laying on them?

-Cross-world grouping for housing areas. People in your party have the option via drop-down menu to show up on the group leader's world's housing ward. If this is an issue of server strain, then only allowing it to work inside estates is fine. Alternatively, allow teleportation to the house of anyone you're mutual friends with, even if they're offline or on another world, via the teleport option that was introduced in the latest patch.

PLEASE Let us go through the door on the second floor of mansions so we can use the BALCONY that sits inaccessible unless you use outdoor furniture to jump up there.

Just about all of these are buried within the suggestions thread. They do comb through it from time to time gathering up our wishlist. :)

- Allow tenants to reset demo timers.
(if a tenanat is using the house everyday it shouldn't get repo'd just cos the owners gone away for a couple of months (for any one of an infinite number of reasons)

- Legit transfer system.
(if jack has a house and wants to unsubscribe or change servers or something such and jill is his tenant then he can transfer ownership of the plot to jill before he transfers worlds / unsubscribes.)

-Legit exchange system.
People selling, trading or exchanging houses is not a problem it never has been. the problem is the people that flip plots or buy them for the sole purpose of resale.
however many players would like plots near there friends and such instead of being scattered all over the place. and a legit exchange system would at least give players the possibility of achieving that..

-Ability to move the house on the plot.
people often complain some houses face the wrong way. so it should be possible to choose where on the plot the house is placed.
there's a small plot in mist I really like its position but wish the house faced sideways with the garden front and left instead of front and right.

this one for example I would love if the house was in the back right corner nott he back left.

if it was sideways in the back right corner then that little canopy fixture would be in the front right corner of the plot perfectly positioned to put a seat under and get a great view of the beach / ocean

- Persistant presence
This will never happen I know but it'd be great if I logged out near a bed then my character would climb into bed and stay there asleep in my house. even if I'm offline. Then get the wake up animation you get in inn rooms when you login.. Same kinda thing with seats and couches and things. Kinda like how when you enter your barracks your squadron members are sitting around randomly. imagine if you entered your FC house and found offline fc members characters randomly sat at the tables or chairs just chillin. would make the houses feel so much more lived in and homely. rather than finding it usually empty when you walk in.. would only work if they logged out in the house but it would be cool.

-Independant / movable lighting
the ability to move light fixtures withinrooms/ houses. in my apartment for example t he main light fitting is pretty much touching a partition wall I've got in there. be nice to move that light further forward. also independent lighting. have different levels on different floors have the basement brighter than the upstairs or vice versa

I'm mostly thinking, like, how we have Riviera/Glade/Oasis/Doman and such for other furniture. Something other than just a gold and turquoise angelic appearance for those of us with heavy far-eastern or naturey rooms would be nice.

Why are the only double beds not dyeable? The pretty canopy beds, the double feather beds. >: And the stupid valentione's be pretends to be dyeable, but it's not... I wanna know who thought that making the smallest insignificant part dyeable was a good idea...

Being able to move furniture flush against the wall/into the void slightly without having to abuse a glitch, not just the pillars because the design of them is nice but prevents items from being flush.That would stop me from using so many walls (about 11) just so my furniture can sit flush with the wall.

Make mini Aetheryte invisible and not take up an inventory slot for outside items, or just down right get rid of it. Access to the balcony (there is a door, but it's there for only show). Attic Access. Pretty much every house has an attic, would be nice to have access to it. Ability to use ANY housing component in any ward. For example, use a Fence from Lav Beds in Shirogane. I really hate the default design, and I have not found a npc that sells fences for that ward, and market board prices are thru the roof.

• If we can't remove/place things against the default building pillars, at least let us choose what type they are. It would be nice to have the Glade woodwork in other housing areas, for example.

• More doors, as other people have already stated.

• More dyable/wallpaper style partitions. Wallpaper half-walls maybe?

• Proper sinks for kitchen or bathroom. I think right now all we have is the "Manor Counter" which barely looks like a sink.

• Something that allows people to toggle minions to be roaming the house. Pet beds and other pet related furniture.
