1.21 Job Informaiton

Hey Guys. Does anyone have any information on how the jobs are going to work in the upcoming patch? I read all the dev tracker stuff and all the news, but I've heard people talking about the jobs being some kind of item you can equip and I haven't seen anything about that anywhere.

So I figured I'd ask you guys.

More information will be released the closer we come to the launch of patch 1.21.

its a stone you equip, yeah.

Yep, what we know is all tentative, so it can change:

1. Jobs are unlocked through a quest with requirements of Class 1 (level 30) + Class 2 (Level 15)
2. It's equipped through a stone
3. Exp gained through your class goes to your job and vice versa/jobs are leveled through quests (2 different things were said.
4. JSE is done through quests.
5. They're more suited for large scale party content.

Aside job names, this is about the gist of jobs we know.

I think "job stone" is just too plain, how about a Job Glyph? (A little reference from ff10 ^^)

JOB ROCK take that! Sorry we're just trying to make a name more interesting they haven't even verified with us yet lol. They said something like a stone you equip, and we all assume job stone, they could have a crazy name for it or it could be super name tentative so we should chill. Personally I'd like a different name than job on it, maybe Stone of ______ or Glyph of ______ or w/e and the blank is something that has to do with your job vaguely, Stone of Melodies (brd), Stone of Bravery (war), you get the thing.

We could go the FF12 naming route and call it Magicked Jobicite.

Where did they talk about that stuff though? Is this all community speculation or was there a dev post on it? I haven't found any information like that and it's especially new to me that it would be 2 classes for 1 job.

Let me rephrase this :
- A class and its corresponding job share the same level and xp
- Competences of the job are acquired through quests
