Or maybe the third tier will be all different final bosses from different FFs?

Dunno, if they're going to use him, it's hard to imagine it being anything but the grand finale. Maybe they'll pull some plot gymnastics and have Omega take his form or something, but would be really surprised if he was a prelude to anything else.
Definitely expecting it to be VII bosses though. With the first part of the FF7 remake slated for the end of 2018 and some of the playerbase not being familiar with the original game, it's a chance to put in a good word for it here.
Hundred Gunner
Sephiroth (Bizzaro Sephiroth)
In the savage version, if you beat Bizzaro Sephiroth, he transforms into Safer Sephiroth.
I don't know, but the number 12, if it is the last one, will be probably Omega itself. That makes me think that the last tier will be original, maybe based on the enemies we got in omega (Those weird T robots) maybe some kind of Omega inventions or whatever.
I have a feeling the final third tier will not be FFVII themed. It's likely we will be confronting Omega as the final boss, so that would make Sephiroth play second fiddle. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to fight Sephiroth and Jenova. I'm just keeping my expectations low.
I thought VII would be next since, 5-6-7. But who's to say. The pattern for Delta and Sigma has been 1.0-3:0 being a boss and 4.0 being the final boss, but since we KNOW the final boss of Omegascape 4.0 will be Omega, I don't know if they could make Sephiroth the 3.0. Also we fought an angelic dude in Sigmascape 4.0. I think I could see FFVIII or FF9 bosses being more likely.
I can see it Omegascape being the "finalists" of each world of this "tournament" Omega is holding to find the strongest fighters. They can be comprised of Super Bosses from previous FF games.
Omegascape 1.0: Vercingetorix
Omegascape 2.0: Penance
Omegascape 3.0 Absolute Virtue
Omegascape 4.0 Omega
VIII should be the one to start the final omega series. Then IX. Then Penance. Then Absolute Virtue. Then omega itself (although I'd like the final set to be 5 hence why I listed VIII-XI)

i want to see the Materia Keeper :O
on my first playthrough this boss was destroying me and i kept him in memory as a very fearsome foe. today i have no idea why i had so many problems with him back then, but it's still one of my favorite bosses from FFVII ^^
but i guess he is not important enough to be a raid boss ^^ maybe in a dungeon some day...
It does seem to be a bit of a mystery
I guess 7 would work if they just didn't end it with omega prime or whatever they'll call it
or did something like ruby emerald diamond to omega so it's just all weapons
or something unique since he has now analyzed your data so it's time to go for the real battle
It's hard to imagine direction since exdeath and kefka were the most successful at screwing over the entire planet afaik
If they DID do 7, they wouldn't put Sephiroth I think. Probably because we already have Sephirot.
Theme thus far of Omega is "Men who Became Gods."
Youre likey to see Safer Sephiroth as O11S, with omega weapon probably doing a thing where he phase switches between all of them.
For the last 2 bosses, Jenova will probably be one of them. Not sure who the last would be.
That all being said, Omega might be O13S. No real reason that there will be only 4 per tier. They could go up to 5 in the final tier. We only assume 12 tiers total cause of Alexander, but Bahamut went up to 13.
Clearly? This is not a fact lol , VII hasn't been conform for 3rd Tier and I hope it does not. I rather VII is no reduced to second trash before the actual Omega fight. How about they start making actual bosses now and stop using past game exp... Omega raid Story has been a disappointing to me just like Alex.... But at least Alex had something cool XIV... Omega feal so force....
I am expecting one of the bosses to be a copy of Midgardsormr from when he first encountered Omega.
We have too many mega dragon fights already.
Twintania, Shinryu, Nidhogg, Bahamut. We're likely to get a few more in the near future (Seiryu, one of the 4 lords is a Blue Dragon; Koryu is 5th lord and is a Gold Dragon). Do we really need to fight another mega dragon?
Carry Armor.
This guy made me so mad on my first play through. I can imagine some neat mechanics with his arms, taking a healer and a tank and taking them out of battle until they're destroyed as a DPS check or something.
Wouldn't be Final Fantasy VII without Jenova. I personally liked her Birth/Life/Death forms over Synthesis.
Need to throw GI Nattack in there, too. Having Soul Fires take over party members and cause heavy DoTs on them.
Heretic Hojo? Proud Clod?
I'm just hoping for a Jenova fight that phases through Birth, Life, Death & Synthesis forms.
Bahamut only went to 13 because of T3 which was a filler instance at best, no loot at all to speak of, merely there for story purposes. Also having four fights per tier helps with how gear distribution is laid out.
Personally I felt it would great if we fought the 4 Fiends from FFI or FFIV, for FFI, you could fight Lich, Marilith, Kraken and Tiamat, who transitions to Chaos in Savage, or Scarmilogne, Cagnazzo, Barbariccia, Rubicante and then the transition revives them all and you get to fight all 4 of them at once for the Savage fight.
Just some ideas, until we get confirmation, VII isn't guaranteed to be the next tier, but its fun to speculate.
Kraken and Tiamat are automatically out though due to already being in the game (Kraken already is the final boss of not one but two dungeons - Hullbreaker Isle NM and Sastasha HM - and Tiamat is a HW story npc who is benign and definitely is in no position to be an enemy, being trapped in self-imposed penance in Azys Lla and all).
But I definitely see FFIV bosses appearing as, well, it kind of makes sense, given that the previous two Omega raids have featured SNES FF titles so FFIV is the last remaining SNES FF title not yet featured (unless you count FF Mystic Quest, but most FF fans prefer to pretend that doesn't even exist ;)). So, if that is the case, the Four Fiends would definitely be likely, along with Golbez and Zeromous/Zemus as the final boss?
Either way, yes, it is fun to speculate, even though I'm usually wrong with speculation. ;)
I'm hoping they skip VII and go straight into VIII in all honesty.
I'm still of the opinion that since this has been a heavily FFV, FFVI, and FFXI reference expansion(admittedly there is an FFVII reference) the last tier of Omega is going to be FFXI based. Possibly not though because they're doing the four sky gods, but I think the chance is still up there. In that event I think I would do Promathia > The five Ark Angels > Absolute Virtue > Whatever Omega fight is going to happen.
If, however, it was an FFVII based wing, I would say something like Ruby Weapon > The Turks > Sephiroth/Jenova > Whatever Omega Fight.
Given that its already been confirmed with Sigmascape that Omega is also pulling from other worlds for his tests (as Sigmascape has no real or fictional correlations to Hydaelyn, with the exception of Y'shtola having deja-vu when she saw the Kefka minion.) they could still use Kraken and Tiamat for it if they wished. Deltascape 3 in fact also proves this, as we have Halicarnassus there and in Hakkue Manor HM.
As for what possible fights we might get in Omegascape, I find it doubtfull we'll get another final boss from any FF game as O11, unless it turns out we actually aren't fighting Omega or if they surprise us with an O13. Diamond, Ruby, and Emerald weapon would all seem ideal as other machines that are "weaker" than Omega but still something that should be beyond our abilities according to Omega's maths. Various other bonus bosses could also be used, showing that we are going even further beyond the limits mortals have.
Like dakka, there is never enuf dragon.
There exist two versions of Halicarnassus, one in Haukke Manor and one in the Deltascape, its obvious the Rift runs on its own rules, so it wouldn't be a stretch to assume they could reuse a few names, hell, even Midgardsomr could bring up the fact there is another dragon named Tiamat.
Also I enjoyed Mystic Quest growing up and its a shame people seem to have this sheer contempt for it. It was easy, but it was marketed as babby's first RPG so its most certainly intentional, it also has some kickass music in there (hearing the boss theme and final boss theme in FFXIV would be great)
Another easy choice is FFII and while it has relatively slim pickings for good bosses, I can see a few being fun choices, such as Beelzebub, Astaroth, Borghen (and by extension, Zombie Borghen) and of course, the Emperor, with is Demonic/Heavenly selves being the Savage fights.
Its kind of hard to speculate what the last tier will be considering the final tier will presumably have Omega as the end fight, making it hard to simply make a tier based on an existing FF.
Since we already have Ultimate Weapon in game I would hope they avoid the repeat boss and go with.
1. Lost Numbere
2. Diamond Weapon
3. Safer- Sephiroth
4. Omega
But honestly I wouldnt be surprised if they took bosses from Final Fantasy 7 Crisis core with Genesis
If we get VII for the finale I'm guessing
O9 - Ruby / Emerald / some kind of weapon
O10 - Jenova
O11 - Sephiroth
O12 - Omega / Omega Prime.
Whatever they do choose to go with, there's no doubt Omega will be the end.
I think it would be possible to see boss we fought before, because Omega see clearly if he continues as now, we would be victorious again.
If he send us boss with who our character was deeply bonds in precedents stories, then maybe, we could show our true power via emotions, something like that.
So my ideas :
- O9 : Gaius, Livia, Nero, Rhitahtyn
- O10 : Thordan and the knights of the round
- O11 : Zenos
- O12 : Omega
But otherwise, I think it will be boss from FF VIII.
Omega, the Bend of Time --> Ultimecia.
I'd rather it be FFX that gets the final raid tier. Imagine taking down Sin, or Seymour, or -redacted- and then seeing him transform in savage.
Plus iirc Omega was in 10 as an optional boss anyways.
None they all suck
Was thinking Final Fantasy VIII over VII, to be honest. FFVII did not have an omega weapon super/hidden boss in it, but FVIII did. To clarify, the original game and not any of the spin-offs, like Dirge of Cerberus. The only other game I could think of that had another super/hidden Omega Weapon would be Final Fantasy X.
If we're also fitting the criteria of 'men becoming gods,' then I'm guessing FFVIII would better fit the theme as Ultimecia's goal was to compress time and deny existence (something Exdeath and Kefka also share).
i highly doubt it what this will happen(since is a recent game) but, what if one of the next bosses might be from ffxv?, i mean, both exdeath and kefka screwed whit the worlds they where on, ardyn himself does that too...., on top of it all, hes basically the representation of darkness on FFXV, and you being the warrior of light... anyway, as i said i highly doubt it will happen
Although it does follow the pattern, I'm not convinced they're gonna do VII, because if they put in Sephiroth he'd overshadow Omega for many folks.
The only way I could actually see them doing a convincing Seph fight would be to have him actually be the last guy over Omega, which story wise doesn't work unless Seph gonna Seph and you find out he ganks Omega during the testing because he doesn't want to be his tool or something crazy (that SE would totally do because it's Sephiroth, lol).
Another way they could do VII though is sticking only to the Weapons. Have Diamond, Emerald, Ruby then Omega as the last.
Well the idea is pitting us against worthy competitors to find out why we still prevail. If they don't stick to a flat numbering system, then they have some good choices of final bosses that could fit. Ultimecia would be a good choice. The Emperor from II is also very formidable. One of the Weapons from VII would qualify. Then you would have Omega as the final boss. That machine needs to be taken down a peg.
Well, if we want to go there...
...Omega Weapon existed in FF7's story, still, but not as a boss. It was made specifically to protect Gaia and Jenova (which is still going off of Dirge of Cerberus). We know this Omega Weapon wants to get strong, but why?
It could still be entirely possible. Plus people are besides themselves with the nostalgia from seeing Exdeath and Kefka; it would not surprise me if Sephiroth (or some link to FFVII was made).
