Hello all, Aria here.
I have been noticing alot of negative posts about this patch and so i wanted to put one out for people to give some highlights! So feel free to share your best moments thus far or things you're excited about below!
(Not in any order except #1)
1. Fixtures don't get deystroyed : Nogthing better than finally being able to toy with different wallpaper/flooring combos.
2. Stack size to 999.
3. Submarines
4. Glamours - I know people still think its not great, but being able to keep my gear the same as I level up is what most people were looking for.
5. Housing demo back.
6. I love the Triple Triad marker on NPCs who we've beaten but still have a reward for us.
7. Perfect Balance 60 second.
8. Brotherhood affects the casting Monk.
More content is always a good thing. Interesting side stories, intriguing stuff happening in the MSQ, new and fun dungeons and trials, bosses that tie into one of the more beloved final fantasy games, and so on.
I can understand a few gripes here and there (imo the new glamour system is great, but definitely flawed and in need of a few quality of life fixes.....as well as the MSQ Roulette change @_@) but overall this is a worthy update.
I can change glamours as much as I want now without worrying about cost :D
AND I HAVE SO MUCH MORE ROOOOOOOOOOOOM !
1. 999 stacks (possibly my fav)
2. choco saddle
3. Doom train!
4. New dungeons :)
5. Subs
6. the new glam dresser is really cool...Honestly like I'm NEVER going to need to equip some set I got in void ark a long time ago..No, I don't need to equip my level 30 HQ carnage blade anymore, for me this is a definite win!
7. Gosetsu's back!
8. Did I mention 999 stacks? :)
How could I forget ChocoSaddleBags??? And yes Triple Triad markers are great! Had no idea I had yet to recieve some rewards from people I beat!
Minus the new glamour system, I love everything I've seen about the patch. I tend to enjoy every update, they're always full of interesting and new things. (Also, Asahi didn't disappoint).
1. New dungeons, bosses, story, etc.
2. No longer get heavy debuff when riding
3. More inventory space
4. Tome changes (now I can sort of catch up to you guys >:V )
5. And finally, I can't stop riding that new Magitek Claw mount, it's addicting.
Not really a positive for this patch exactly but more so for the expansion in general.
I like how they are sprinkling in new little areas for us to visit like Reisen Temple and the Doman Enclave. Next patch we will see Eureka added as well which, while technically instanced, will feel like a new zone.
Exploring new areas is something normally reserved for expansion launches, so the fact that we keep getting these new little zones is a nice trend that I hope they continue.
Contrary to what a lot of people seem to be saying, I absolutely love the new Warrior. But maybe that's just because I played it so much last patch, that I got bored of it and the new change has made it interesting again.
Also the new raid fights are really fun! Can't wait to give Savage a try this weekend.
Lastly, at first I was upset about the new Perform interface for Bards, but I've figured out a way to make it work wonderfully. ^^ Except not I can play faster than I could before, thanks to the new change! So that's great too.
System features are the biggest positive to me. I know dresser isn't perfect but it's better than not having a dresser, it's an improvement.
The new battle content is very cool. I think they are improving at fight design and dungeon design. Lots of exciting 'wow' parts in the visuals at least.
4.25 will probably be more interesting to me for content because of Eureka.
1- enable/disable battle music.
I've honestly been enjoying most of it. I really liked the new dungeons, trial, and areas especially. Also being able to mute performances has been the bee's knees.
Happy camper, ty square enix.
This is the inventory update. Saddlebag, 999 stacks, condensing every glamor prism to one type, removing elemental materia so not having to save them for mutamix.
Byakko weapons look decent.
Triple Triad icon adjustment actually had me play more games as I pass through the players' zones for other objectives.
Kefka's magnificent stride.
There is now so much to do and play with.. I cannot decide whether to play this, MHW or Overwatch during my free time. I need to get mah gears and tomes and explore the new story.. but .. the rathian.. and the new lootboxes.. ARGH!
I like the changes to black mage. The shorter recast time on transpose and aetherial manipulation are nice. Are we a perfect class? No, far from it, but it's my main and I love it and I like the changes.
It's under "System configuration" > "Sound Settings"
There's a small square you can tick on and off to enable/disable the option called "Enable Normal Battle Music". That's it, I was confused too at first glance wasn't sure it was an option to turn the battle music off.
freeing up my inventory space after the glamour prism changes is nice
