Why the high cost of moving? 30% of old plot mimimum price is not fair

Say someone is moving a large to another large now that they have more freedom to pick the location they like. Is there a reason why they have to pay 43 million on top of the near 50 million originally? (or in the case of 5th class, 34 M more)

I mean it is not even fair when you are comparing the price of moving across classes, just.. why?

Its a gil sink, and you are technically buying a new house. Its been this way since they released house relocation. I don't ever remember anyone complaining about it.

Moving is not cheap.

Moving is a luxury. You get all your furniture moved over, if an fc all your workshop stuff/member rooms transferred and you have the added safety net of retaining a house even if you don't get to the other plot in time. The old way you'd get 0 gil back, you'd have to stuff the furniture away (what furniture didn't get destroyed from being picked up), you'd lose all your fixtures, if an fc you'd have to kick members & they'd all lose their rooms, anything workshop related would be lost and if you didn't get to the plot-to-be in time you could be homeless.

Maybe it would be less of an issue if they did not screw up hosing so badly? I mean I just think they should give more to the players after not giving players a good system after all these years. (meaning if they had a better system, people would not need to move as much, instead people are just trying get whatever while not being that happy with the location)

I was always under the impression you had to pay less to move to a different plot, not more.

At least I only own a small so upsizing won't be too expensive.

Depends on the grade of the plot. And the 30% reduction is off the minimum price so you might had paid much more for it orginially

Its better than vanishing and buy new. Before moving got introduced, I didn't expect any cashback at all.

I can assure you, all of us who are flat out forbidden from buying a house at all are deeply sympathetic to the plight of people who already have one and can pay to get a better location, ensuring that if they ever actually do let us into the market again that only the table scraps are left.

It's 30% of the minimum value (25m), not the maximum value.

honestly, you are lucky to get a discount.

I have my own apartment in Shirogane and for someone that runs out of gil often, that's a luxury in an of itself.

First not enough plots, then housing is unfair because people have more than one, now do to moving expenses really?

It's simple common sense, prices vary by server and size so no moving expenses are not the same for every server ( unless close to or SE does some change ). Your pretty much buying a whole new plot, so no kidding your going to be getting charged a large amount. The discount is pretty much for having stuff to place in it. -.-

Or you prefer the old system where you had to demolish your house in order to buy another one? With the risk of losing both of them if you didn't make it time. It seems to me that you don't really enjoy this game at all. :(
