99 token exchange for dog mount?

I did not see this in the patch note, anyone have info?

Last piece of info I have is that they were "considering" it for 4.2 - so... might be in, might not be in. We will know for sure in less than 24h.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s ridiculous these mounts aren’t available for 99 totems when their primals are current content? Some can argue “we are lucky they can be bought with totems at all, we couldn’t buy the primal ponies EVER!!!” but we all know it’s a thing and will continue to be a thing.

Those killing these primals 99 times and not winning a whistle in that time probably “deserves” the mount more than Joe Schmoe that won it on their first kill.

Honestly, I'm okay with that - the mounts can stay special for the lucky and/or really dedicated ones for a while and then made easier by increased droprates and token-exchange after a while.

I agree :( I really hope they included it, despite it not being mentioned in the patch notes.

They don't make them availaible at their release because they are expecting people to keep farming these content and hope for luck.
Of course, some are just stopping at 99 now, but others keep farming.

It's a way to make content kept being farmed.

Not saying this is the best, but it's surely what they got in mind.

I have 125 totems and i have seen this mount only twice, i met a guy with 183 totems and he doesn't have it yet. It's not a question of dedication ^^ but if the RNG want to f... you you can waste hours and hours, you won't gain it x.x

At this rate the fight become borring and instead of fun you just feel some frustration, so ya i would prefer they give us the opportunity to buy those mounts by trading 99 totems the same day they add this content.

I acquired a couple hundred totems trying to get the Lakshimi dog when the primal was new. Only saw it drop 8 times and never rolled higher than 40 so never got it. Ended up super salty over it and just stopped doing primals altogether.

I killed Lakshmi and Susano both 150+ times before I was deigned worthy by RNG. I have 151 Shinryu totems before I finally gave up. I don’t have a static - these runs were done via PF so that means on top of the hours actually getting kills there were many trap parties which didn’t result in a kill at all. Is this not “dedicated” enough? With my history so far with SB primals I know I will have to kill this new primal at least 99 times and then wait months before I am able to get a reward for my time and effort.

Making them purchasable when they’re relevant won’t make them less special. It may encourage people to keep doing the fight even instead of waiting for a nerf to the fight or increased drop rate of the whistle.

I'd like to suggest with the totems that a certain number of them could also buy the "piece" of the primal that we need to craft with. For example, 50 Bismark totems could buy an Expanse Baleen.

They should stop "considering" and just go with it and make Primal mounts tradable for x99 tokens in the next big patch after introducing the Extreme battle in question!...

Not everyone is happy farming for a mount endlessly, including myself, there are more things I want to do in the game instead of consuming all that time getting a single mount!...

I hate the RNG drop system, I don't know how it works but it makes those getting their drops on the first clear look like really unfair cheaters!...

I don't really like the dog/wolf/whatever the new Primal mounts are, except for the pinkish one from Lakshmi, so I'll just wait until SE increases the drop rate and makes them available for trade like my favorite mounts -the falcons- did!...

Hell the lack of turn in is why I stopped farming this last patch cycle to begin with. With how little I've actually seen the dogs drop it just didn't seem worth it to kill my hands when I already got my drops out of the equation. If they actually made the tokens worth turning in for the mounts I'd jump right back into Susano this very instant.

Sounds exactly like FFXI drop rates. I'm glad I don't waste my time "farming" these. Sounds frustrating af.

I'm also salty they don't appear to be adding the whistle trade in. I got my hundred runs of Susano and Lakshmi, the dog never dropped more than three or four times for either in those hundred runs, I refuse to run it any more because just those 100 runs each burned me out on those fights. Won't be doing them again unless they are in a WT. Just give us the whistles already, the fights are 7 months old.

I haven't had any motivation to farm either. I remember getting so frustrated with not getting the bird for Sophia before they added the turn-in, losing after rolling a 97 once, that I just kept running it and running it until I was on 234 runs when the rng gods finally chose me and once I had the darn bird I just felt nothing.

I'm not going to do that again. I'd rather play a different game if there isn't a clear finish line to the goal and no confirmation on when it will be established.

I am at 140 clears for Susano and saw my first two whistles last night. It has been a painful grind.

If I recall correctly Ravana and Bismark didn't get mount trade ins til 3.25 or 3.3. If you wanna stop running the fight after you get 99 tokens thats fine but its 100% fair to keep it a drop only for the first few patches. Letting them be purchasable at all is more than most mmos would give you. Not to mention our drop rate is incredibly lenient compared to other games.

I'm reckoning since they added the new stack amount, they're going to up the cost to 999 totems for the SB primals. Meaning if RNG hates you, you're looking at just under one thousand clears before you an get your mount...

They delay it this way to keep people going back. Plenty won't wait almost a year on a stack of 99, they'll keep farming, which helps newer/inexperienced/bad players get through. This game desperately tries to keep veterans going back to help/carry.

I'm just going to wait and hope maybe next patch we can use totems.I am taking a break from farming @_@

Oh god plz don't do this. I've been sitting on my 99 susan totems for ages

they didn't mention increasing drop rate either. so it'll still be scarce.
