I will no longer run those MSQ's now. I always helped with going in as tank, if I now have to wait for every scene ... I don't have time for that.

More like rip MSQ. I was lucky enough to get my FC mates to run me through it unsynced but I think a lot of those good souls will give up if they have to go through the cutscenes. I mean I don't run MSQ roulette anyway, now? Nope. This is going to hurt new players so bad, and alts too. Story potion sales, on the other hand, will likely go through the roof...
They really should've made these solo duties and called it a day.
-
I'm curious to see what rewards we get now but yeah i will most likely never run MSQ roulette again cause of the long cut scenes.
-
yes but you are going to get a massive bonus for running it, so it might still be worth it. They are going to pay you extra massive tombs for watching cut-scenes.

Unless the bonus is 2000 poetics and 1000 creation, it’s not gonna happen.

This basically, they already said Eureka isn't coming with 4.2 but with 4.25. Unless there ends up being a really bad, game breaking bug it will be coming out about a month or so after 4.2.
-
Rip new players, you'll be stranded on Castrum and Praet. Is this a scheme to sell msq jump potions (I'm joking of course)?
Also rip casters, undeserved nerfs to Smn as soon as they're somehow in a good spot and minor buffs to Blm, that don't address any of its core issues. I don't know how much longer I can take it.

That is what I suggested to them, my original suggestion was to disable all cutscenes for that dungeon but to give you the 2000 tombs for running it, so you never know they just may give you your 2000 tombs for it.
-
Unless they increase the EXP to basically a full level, no one is going to touch MSQ roulette. If it's just 200 Poetics? Well, rip new players. You're in for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong queue.
Sucks for me and Hyomin though. We have alts that have to go through ARR still. ;-;
-
Divine Benison - Healing Lily requirement has been removed.
Finally.
-
That's 40 minutes of cutscenes. Absolutely no way I'm touching it again unless they give me something like capped tomestones or some cracked crystals (not clusters).
-
Looks like they broke WAR again, really why SE why?

After reading the nerfs for summoner (its my main job) I was just having a bit of a rage fit...didnt they just said some days ago that they only nerf our AOE skills? Yet I see Ruin III in this..wtf...
Not wanting to comment on their solution for the cutscene problem...how did anyone even think that this is a good idea?

Summoner needed the nerf. It nearly beat Samurai for highest personal DPS in the whole game. Once you factored in utility and buffs, it straight up slaughtered everything. The downside, of course, is they practically locked the physical meta for yet another tier. The only change now is Monk may actually bench Machinist/Bard. Summoner will remain valuable though, just less so.
-
How did the devs screw MSQ up? Is it really that hard to just lower the amount of enemies, add in some basic NPCs as allies, and keep it as a solo duty. Now they pretty much tanked MSQ by making things more difficult. Way to go, devs. This patch cycle has been really screwy.

Nope, read the notes, instead of 120 you'll get 200 now.
Nope, not going to run it anymore, I'm sorry new players but no.

Maybe they're trying to lower our expectations for the Eureka release. :^)

Bad move Square Enix to force players to watch all the long cutscenes.
No one is gonna do MSQ roulette now and your new player base is gonna be stuck for a great amount of time in order to pass these dungeons.
Didn't see the issue because you can watch the cutscene in your inn room.
And won't be surprise to see some people creating some PF like these "Selling ARR MSQ dungeon clear runs", this is what's gonna happen for sure.
And again a MCH nerf really...
-
Poor casters...
BLM is still useless, SMN is back to the useless JOB group, only RDM will be valuable for progress and useless after.
And RIP new player, i will never enter MSQ roulette again!
-
I feel bad for the newbies, i'll still run msq roulette for you poor leafy boys, maybe i'll bake a cake during the cutscenes, or take a nap, who knows, endless possibilities with all this new free time i'll have on my hands.

Oh that's a great idea. Wait, you didn't hear me say anything...
*Quietly leaves forum to set up a pf *

That would require 'active dev time'. Changing reward from 120 to 200 is just number change.
In the letter translation Yoshi said something along the lines of most expensive xpac yet (investment they are doing) but tbh I just read it as: We're sending most of the money to SE HQ to fuel VII remake and new projects.

Dark knight buffs are a joke.
I dont know what they are thinking.
-
I'm bit bit confused by the glamour dresser part. They told us we could take items out of it but the notes are saying -
* Please be warned that gear, once transformed into a glamour, can no longer be used as an item. This is an irreversible process. Transformed gear no longer exists as an item.
* Transformed gear cannot be returned to your inventory or Armoury Chest.
* Glamours stored in the dresser cannot be applied to adventurer squadron NPCs.
* Some gear cannot be transformed into a glamour.
Glamour Storage Limit
The dresser can hold a total of 200 glamours regardless of equipment type. Once this limit has been reached, glamours in the dresser must be destroyed before new glamours can be added.
I feel lied to.

They still said that only the AOE will be nerfed and that the single target DPS will remain the same..which is not the case anymore..
Also about glamour dresser:
From the notes
-Please be warned that gear, once transformed into a glamour, can no longer be used as an item. This is an irreversible process. Transformed gear no longer exists as an item
-Transformed gear cannot be returned to your inventory or Armoury Chest.
-Some gear cannot be transformed into a glamour.
Wait what? Did they not tell us that we can take it back again? Are you saying that nex to having a limit of 200, those items will be lost forever if the storage is full and we need to take something out? Also that not everything can be put in this? What kind of great new system is that? Wow its even worse of a band-aid that I thought..
-
I doubt the MSQ daily reward will be worth the time needed to clear it with the this new changes. I might do them to help friends, but other then that its goodbye MSQ daily for me.

You put an item into it and it will forever be a glamour item, if you have 200 glam items you will need to delete something to add another.
-
And here I was struggling to decide whether to take SMN or SCH to Eureka. Guess I know now.
But, for shit's sake. Eureka's been delayed (as in, actually pushed back) 3 times now. Not for any 4.1 patches after being announced for it, and now we have to wait another month into 4.2 for our BiS weapon grind.
Also, Hildibrand pushed back. Dang it.
But, truely, why did SMN need a nerf? If SMN was too powerful, then where are the RDM changes? SMN already lost most of it's utility to RDM, yet RDM is still more potent. And poor BLM. These buffs aren't going to solve much in level 70 content!

Yeah... server limitations ...
Please look forward to it!

It's possible. They've stumbled with a few things in the 4.x series, but this is a massive stumble. I'm curious how the JPN side of the forum is taking this news.

Yes, I understand what it says, but during a LL we wear told that we could take the items back out to use again. :/
-
I feel like the glamour dresser is just a place for us to store all our level 1, vanity only gear, at this point. It does make the process of applying vanities much easier, at least.

Honestly, that's what it'll take for me to help new players not in my FC. Of course I'll charge a reasonable amount of gil, but 40 minutes at a minimum for 200 tomes? Yeah, okay.

SE is not gonna nerf RDM or SAM because it needs to be ones on top in order to appeal players who like to do a lot of damage and so it means you need to buy the expansion to play these jobs.
Do not expect a nerf for these jobs before some new jobs coming in the new expansion, it's business ^^
-
I actually laughed aloud at the MSQ roulette changes.
Truly dead content.
