Ultimate Challenge

With people saying that recent raids are easy and Ultimate Coils being a thing, I have an idea to make the hardest content ever

Every single ex fight, tuned up to current gear, at the same time.

I don't mean you'd fight them in sequence or they would take turns attacking. I mean you would fight all of them at the exact same time, dealing with all of their mechanics at once.

Example: Shiva freezes the ground as Titan does landslides as Sophia tilts the entire platform while you fight Ifrit's nails and have to stack and spread both at once. All of that at the exact same time.

A bit much but it's supposed to be really hard. :P

...Is it bad that I think that would be rather fun?

It's always the people that have yet to do any of the "challenging" endgame/raids that make the claims of content being too easy. This is something that has been going on for years. They would just turn around and ask for nerfs if they made a fight like the OP is suggesting, even though personally I think it would be fun. The Nerf Shinryu normal thread is a perfect example of this. SE can't hope to win with these types of players.

It could actually work with, say, Garuda, Titan, and Ifrit. Hard, but doable.

Every single EX boss at once would probably break the instance lol. But now that you mention it, it might be interesting to have two or three Primals at once, using mechanics that work together. A battle with all three members of the Warring Triad, for instance, would be interesting if they actually decided to work together instead of fight each other. Or imagine how epic Susano and Ravana teaming up would be. I think there's potential to make those kinds of fights fun while challenging.

All of this is fine as long as its designed to give all the players the necessary minimum time window to dodge/deal with mechs and dps.

In other words, if the latter can't be done at all, devs won't put it in.

It's either that or make gear locked content. What do you prefer?

And btw, the trios dances are not that easy to master, even with checkpoints.

It already exists in-game. It's called "finding 7 other ppl who know what they are doing".

I mean, maybe our next ultimate will be that, who knows.

Next needs to be... Gilgamesh Ultimate... >.>

The point is not to have said time windows. All the bosses do their mechanics exactly as they do now. Which does mean it's possible to get combinations of mechs that are impossible to all deal with at once. I gave an example of that in my op.

Frozen ground as the arena is tilted would just make everyone fall right off with no possible way to save yourself. The challenge would be in finding ways to prevent such combos from happening.

Certain things happen at certain hp amounts, or certain times. Focus down one or mess with hp bars to make their mechanics manageable.

I get that but you said they happen at the same time. Say the devs go ahead design Titan's six-way landslide as Sophia tilts the arena with Ifrit's nail and while Shiva does the overhead ice drop. If there's no way for anyone to survive any of this no matter what they do (individual skills or group) during that specific time where all mechs converge, they're not gonna put it in. I'm not trying to be nitpicky, Its just it wasn't clear.

That's the magic of UCoB. The mech dance is crazy as hell but there's still a time-window for anyone to deal/dodge mechs.
