Who thinks Rent-a-Bo music is so much more EPIC than Personal Chocobo music?

Never rented a chocobo becuase I'm not a pauper.

The rental boco theme is fabulous! The personal chocobo theme is loud and obnoxious. This is the one reason I will ride the goobbue instead of my chocobo. The goobbue music sounds nice.

Yep, which is why I will never use chocobo again after goobbue.

the rental goobue music is great, but personal goobue music sucks... so i'm afraid it's the same problem revisited

Edit: Oh, figured out which two to switch. Had to do a lot of googling and researching. Well actually - I didn't switch it, as I like the rental chocobo music - so I just renamed the original personal chocobo music file to a backup name and threw in the rental chocobo music file.

Again, it's simply switching the filenames of a few things around, but I don't know if the mods will have an aneurism over me sharing how. It's just music.

No I like the rental music better too.. The personal one is not optimal to listen all the time

When I first rode a Rental Chocobo I remember just how EPIC it felt to ride through Eorzea on back of a Chocobo, that music made it a very fun gaming experiences! WHen I finished the grind and worked up enough Seals to get my personal Chocobo I was VERY disappointing at how lack luster the Chocobo music was. I hope the Dev's change it.

You know what could be awesome? Having both the songs, and LISTEN THEM IN UNISONG UNTIL YOUR HEAD EXPLODES!! HAAAHAAHAAAA!!!!


hrm.

To cycle those two themes and play them randomly when you call the Chocobo.

Modifying the files in any way is against the ToS. Modifying certain files gives you things like speed and position hacks I think, and it would be a pain to go through each file and say if you can or can't change it, so they just say "No modifying kthnx."

Nope, I like personal better. I'd prefer FFXI over both and FFVIII Mods de Chocobo overall.

Oh I know. They're backed by lawyers. My post got baleeted, but man did it take forever to find the right files. What's funny is they linked to their OLD XI rules, which technically cannot apply to this game because they're two separate products:

Relevant sections from the FINAL FANTASY XI Guidelines: Reproducing, duplicating, altering, supplementing, changing, or other secondary use of this Service’s software, either whole or in part.

I guess this fell under "changing", even though two files that already existed were swapped around.

Now here's the other question - elitists use parsers - parsers, although harmless (though harmful to the community because of the minmax munchkin contests) intercept data. I remember reading in the ToS that we are not allowed to do that. People have openly made posts showing their numbers using that utility - why do the mods turn a blind eye to that?

That's too funny, too lazy to make a new ToS for this game so just use the old one lol.

The Rent-a-Bo music is epic. I remember hopping onto my Rental Chocobo for the first time and feeling truly amazed. The epic music helped me expirence the game. I felt EXCITED to be on choco-back! When I hopped on my Company bird the music was lack luster T_T

I have two possible solutions for you good Sir :D

1) Stop riding Company choco and hop on renta-birds from now on! "shazaam cool muziks is back like magic!"
2) Ride on top of a Goobue! It's super fabulous, economical, and ergonomical!

that's why I only use my fingers and excel for that purpose :D
and who know there is key-logger or no. it's a scary world must be extra careful.

Only problem Areeya is Rent-a-bo's are sslloowww and timed.

I'm hoping this little topic gathers enough steam to catch a forum mod's attention so they will perhaps bring it to somebody's attention. It's a tiny bit of a change but I'm sure most users agree.

Seem dumb we not allow to change the dats but then again we can use other 3 party tool and they just don't care about i think they don't mind if we change the music tho.
