Emote Idea suggestions and request... What Would you like to see?

Hello everyone,

Kind of bored and it may be a long shot but hoping SE development team would see this and perhaps humor us a bit. So far I love the Odin and Shiva emotes and as a collector those are just icing on the cake for me. However if they are able to do those emotes perhaps we can give them an insight of what we want.

here are some suggestions I would really like to see and even would not mind paying some extra cash for them or perhaps make it a soloable event of some type like a time rift between worlds do to Omega.

I for one would love to see a an emote of Kefka's Palaso laughter or mid air floating flip ( Dissidia )

General Leo Christophe Sword shock

Kujas Flair revolutions as he floats.

ect.

I would like to see a coordinated high five. Like the game would wait for two people to use the emote and then it would perform it in sync.

The power ranger poses are neat but id love some magical girl ones maybe even a transformation

A non-lewd Play Dead emote for male Lalafells.

A snuggle emote that pairs with doze. That way you don't have to clip beds to actually be close to someone else.

/meditation /spit (lol) /yawn /sneeze /rolleyes and new idle poses for all jobs, unlocking the gender-exclusive poses as well.

That's doubtful because it would almost definitely contradict the game's content rating in many countries (such as my own country of Australia) where depiction of smoking on screen is considered "drug use", especially if the player character is allowed to do that, and thus would require a higher rating beyond "teen and up". As SE wants FFXIV to be accessible to as many players as possible, they're not going to do anything that would jeopardize that. So I'm sorry to say, you probably won't see that added.

As for the OP, my own desired emotes I would love to see added is a cute /curtsy emote - my character is meant to be a lady, she needs to be able to curtsy accordingly! (Especially when wearing a gorgeous dress like the Spring Dress or wedding dress). :D

The Thriller dance emote for Halloween... >.>

A taunt emote similar to the one Marle uses on her taunt skill in Chronotrigger

There are already NPCs that smoke pipes and such, so with that logic.... It probably should already be rate as such?

Apparently in a past interview it was stated that it could possibly be implemented in the form of a "smoking candy" or something. If this is the case I really do hope they'll add it in whatever shape or form. Besides, we've already got all these NPCs holding pipes, not to mention it's the signature accessory of a certain Stormblood villain...

NPCs are one thing, it's when a player character can actually do that that the trouble really starts. The self-righteous 'moral guardians' start kicking up an almighty stink claiming that as it's 'interactive' it influences 'impressionable young minds' and thus should therefore be greatly restricted, if not banned, and the media, eager to sell a story, seizes on it and it all goes downhill from there.

The infamous 'Hot Coffee' affair with GTA San Andreas springs to mind as an example of this, although that was naturally not to do with smoking, it's the same basic idea. Something more adult that the media would only be too keen to blow completely out of proportion and then crucify SE for as "moral degenerance" (I must stress that I am completely on the side of players being able to make their own choices, I just don't want to see SE and by extension this game, suffer over something trivial as a smoking emote that more conservative and prudish members of society would be only too eager to seize on and demonize the game for.).

As for making a hypothetical smoking emote as a 'smoking candy cane', that's a whole different barrel of moogles entirely... ;)

This a thousand times. I've been wanting this since forever.

There already being examples of it in game within NPC use should be enough because that whole difference between our characters and NPCs argument is nonsensical. With all the other stuff combined I'm actually surprised it hasn't earned a higher rating already. Alcohol usage, smoking, vulgar language.

The censors can go frack themselves. Give us /smokepipe emote yo! If I can dress my Elf lady in a bikini and have a bunch of other scantly clad lady pixels in a hot tub and spray bubbly all over each other what's adding another vice to the mix gonna do? Pretty please?

Seem's my odds are good, for my emote

Just did the Machinest cutscene involving Fraideoux for the Wheels of Justice Quest. Is there any chance we can get the motion he does when he goes on all fours and shaking his head begging for sympathy? The motion is already in the game so it should be easy?

I need this emote in my life. What better way to express /dismay at my pld buddy dying infront of me. YAAAASSSSSSSS.

/headnod - Upwards headnod like balthier in ffxii
/stopthat - Hand in the face of another pc/npc
/highfive - you could offer it to another player, they have to respond accordingly
/highten - you could offer it to another player, they have to respond accordingly
/handshake - you could offer it to another player, they have to respond accordingly

I would also love "walking" emotes like day dream, reading, etc that you could do around town instead of full speed running all the time.
