Temporal Training Room - CD Reset Function

Im not sure if this has been suggested before but what do you guys think of a small singleplayer instanced room that has one training dummy in it purely for practicing rots?
The key differences between my idea and stone sky sea is that this room would add an action that would allow you to reset your cds, and the dummy isn't based on any fights, its just regular dummy that resets upon hp reaching 0.
Currently i have alot of trouble trying new rots due to cd's, i either have to pretend to use the abilities on cool down for the sake of memorization, or wait for them to come off it.
Would you guys use this? What do you think?

So you want a standard dummy like those that already exist in various locations but with the ability to reset ogcd abilities if you mess up while testing a rotation. While I suppose this falls under a QoL request, I feel having to wait for an ability to come back off cooldown is a teaching tool in itself since you'll need to learn how to react to situations leaving you without everything ready to go or modify your rotation with a couple things still charging, which will happen in actual fights.

Maybe they could add this as a feature to dummies once you engage them? I'm not against this just don't feel it's that great for practicing as opposed to what we have now.

Would be nice to test limitbreaks too :P

I agree what we have now does just fine for trial and error practice, but its difficult to practice mistakes in your rotation when you haven't actually learned/memorized it yet which is what im getting at. Maybe an instanced session is too much, if just adding the reset action as soon as a dummy is engaged (or perhaps they could create one type of dummy that has the feature alone) is possible then it is the better route i think.

Starting a Stone, Sky, Sea challenge from the Battle-scarred Veteran outside Rhalgr's Reach, or the Goodly Adventurer outside Idyllshire, already resets all your CDs.

Sure, it's only 3 minutes, but you can just pick the highest challenge to make use of the full timer. Once the timer runs out, you can just talk to the nearby NPC and be teleported to the Battle-scarred Veteran/Goodly Adventurer to start a new challenge.

Even an attack dummy(s) that attack you so tanks can time cooldowns, LB, averages, etc.

This excuse went out the window as soon as they implemented the cd reset for wiping.

Different situations really, ideally you won't be wiping on a fight and even by then you would know your rotation already if you're doing raid content

Not quite what we're discussing here. I was saying that having all your resets on cooldown cause you wiped is nice when you're raiding but is hopefully not something you depend on as a tactic for learning to sustain a rotation so having a reset button for abilities on a dummy would at best be training wheels that need to be discarded anyway

I wish at the very least they add the dummies as a duty in DF. Right now to access one, you have to remember that its outside Rhalgar's reach. Otherwise, you either look it up on the net for it.
