Interesting, so they go at the same speed as a Chocobo.

And "limited time", I suppose that's "limited time get yours now" and not "usable only for a limited time" thing.

Guess we'll have to wait until they become available, but I have to say that I'm a little disappointed that we have a new mount and the only difference is the model and not anything else.

I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad the goobbue will be an exclusive (time-wise) mount ^^

Seems they have had the music for Goobue mounts (If that's the music that plays when you ride them) has been in the game .dats for a while now.

I can't wait to see these....majestic? Creatures roam the land like obedient slaves you could devour their masters if the thought ever came to mind. I'm with the reporter on this one I'd get a good laugh if the Goobue "Hit a bump in the road" and swallowed his rider like a snack.

Devs care to comment if this is limited time as in "able to use before removed from game" or "able to obtain"?

If it's only obtainable now but able to be kept permanently, I like it. Personally I can see better things to work on than mounts, but if this is a cool piece to carry over to 2.0 that shows you supported the game beforehand I'll give it a thumbs up.

It's actually a good thing it's really nothing different -- it'll create a whole slew of problems if mounts varied enough that one becomes 'sought after'..content shouldn't degrade into who has x amount honestly lol.

Hmm if the camera is set on chocobo height it would be the only thing we'll be able to see. Good thing the minimap is always on top?;

Well they're both quite bad to be honest, but I suppose their backside is the lesser of two evils, if you will. :P

Goobbue mounts.... Square Enix's way of saying "Sorry that we've dropped the ball. Now go play with this, and be quite.

I wonder if Gobbue replaces Chocobo or if it is another mount choice so you can summon both?

Pretty sure this isn't the case. It wouldn't be much of a perk for pre 2.0 players if they had to permanently give up chocobo riding.

Also, I think chocobos are going to be the only customizeable and combat-ready mount when that feature is implemented.

Would be cool to be able to attack mobs from the Gobbue! That would be awesome!

The music is quite something. It's less in the face unlike chocobo track.

question is how do we get the mount ?

probably from an event, hope it wont be an annoying one

I wish they add a mini-game: how much taru-snack can you get!
Ride Goobbue and grab crying+running tarus and put into mouth.

Literally everything starts from speaking to an NPC, chocobo was said to be just 3k seals exchanged but it turns out there are serial of many quests beforehand before you are able to purchase it. I believe there will be sone quests at least to tell us how the gobbue was tamed.

Problem, how do they stay on the thing?.........

Well, it definitely sounds like a GC quest type (And I mean, literally sound. The music....plays a variation of the Grand Company motif found in all three GC themes.)

- The Goobue size will be the same, regardless of race (Lalafells won't have baby goobue mounts \o/)
- As you've seen in the video, the speed is the same as chocobos

While I'm certainly an advocate for diversity of mounts, this one is just going to be a eyesore. I certainly don't see myself riding one. I might out of curiosity, but there's no way I'm going to be able to stare at the backside of a goobbue for extended periods of time, its just obscene. My real concern is seeing these things in mass running around with players using them. I'd love to ask SE for a option to disable viewing certain mount types, and just make on my client look like chocobos. Of course I guess one could just .dat swap to fix that issue..

I love how huge they are. Will be nice to travel Eorzea through a different perspective. Especially for all you Lalafells :D
