Crafting priority for getting ala mhigan sets

Hello, I am working on getting my crafters up and I have read Camie's guide several times but I am looking for some advice on gearing priorities. I have BSM, LTW, and ALC specialists right now but when going for Ironworks I was switching each week to a new specialist so I am not stuck. I feel BSM is solid as it unlocks a lot of different specialties while switching the others.

So I am looking for advice on how to get up to the Ala Mhigan level. I don't need the script detail more just gearing priority, melding, and strategies to get there.

You will need to stay with ALC as specialist to get the Ala Mhigan fiber as well as the snailfish oil. I went with Weaver first as you get 3 parts: hat, chest and legs. Then I moved to LTW for the shoes and gloves. In terms of melding, I would focus on control to get that to the magical 1300 level, and craftmanship to where the tempura can get you to 1460.

I went chest legs, hat, then shoes and soon will get the gloves. At this point I can use the macro for the ala mhigan gear as long as all the mats are HQ (except the fieldcraft demimateria of course). With the above food my CP is at 541. The Macro only calls for 533 CP, I believe, so if you are going for the minimium your base CP should be 466.

Of course the minimum to work the recipes is 1320 Craftsmanship and 1220 Control, which is the same as what was needed for the previous set of gear, so that shouldn't be a problem. But without 1460 Craft and 1300 Control you will have a hard time getting HQ on the new recipes.

Not sure how to go from ironworks. I started with i290 bare minimum stats 1321/1221 (with NQ miso soup) made 3 pieces i320 NQ: ALC primary tool, pants and head piece. From there I have enough (1400+) to get 20k quality and an 8k starting quality from aethersands.

A lot of things depend on what your priorities are. Do you have materia stock piled? Do you want your name on all of your gear (Do you have a couple mil to spend)? How many alchemics do you have (55 makes the full set with tools 35 for Crafters and 20 for Gatherers). CUL/ARM/CRP are the low end for specialist recipes so I would craft up as much of the tools and gear as you can before switching to those (Don't need CUL ever). Here are two meld lists for hitting the minimum as cheaply as possible.

If you want you can meld your accessories and belt to max because they are the current best. (could change 4.2 but not likely..? Please look forward to it.) Hope this helps!

So I have 1.3 mil to my name. I power leveled BSM to 70 by buying stuff off the Market Board which I blew the 3-4.5 mil I had after outfitting/buying my house and moving to Hyperion. So I am rebuilding my gil and I don't mind spending the hours to craft my own gear and yes I do want my name on everything. I don't craft for money but just for the sheer joy of seeing my name on all the items. I know I am not the only one. Also free repairs/melds :).

I may be back once I finish leveling the crafts to ask best strategies on acquiring materia and reread Camie's guide :). I would basically treat me as starting off from ground 0.

Don’t forget to do Zhloe and Maanago weekly! They give an abundant amount of red scrip and yellow scrip. Once you get the master books from red scrip you can spend the rest buying materia. Yellow scrip buy Alchemics!

I need to unlock Mhanago. I still haven't finished the 4.1 story. I was historically using Zhloe for gathering but I have all the yellow scrip gear now so I will do that.

Oh man do it! It’s a bit of a heart wrencher but the rewards are pretty great! I got all the alchemics I need for my Alts (yes crazy career crafter) just doing her weeklies. :)

So for Zhloe, I should do my weekly deliveries on my BSM for the yellow scrips because if I do them on any other it will just be red and exp correct?

Oh you don't have to worry about switching specs. There's enough red scrips from mnaago+Zhloe for soul stones to change 3x/ week (which is the cap).
