At least the Queue feels like 3.X again.

One of my German friends said he had a crazy long wait for Astragalos, I had a 10 min queue the next time I tried so I have been wondering if there's a bug or something

It's pretty frustrating. I want to PvP but I don't necessarily want to do it in the evening - which is, unfortunately, the only time to do it on Chaos without ridiculous queue times.

The worst part is that there's gear that's only obtainable in PvP. I prefer PvE (PvP stresses me out too much), but I'm willing to endure PvP for a little while to get it. The only problem is that I'll die before I ever get in once. Why can't those skins be obtainable elsewhere? Like in the Gold Saucer or something?

I wonder if language settings might also matter. I queue with just English on.

Until recently I had a hard time getting the queue for FL to pop (though RW seems to be pretty fast).

Then I realized that I could select all 3 FL maps + the RW map at once. Since I don't particularly care which one I get, this led to super fast queues of 10 mins or less during primetime AND daytime afternoon/evening (just not during late night weekdays, too many people sleeping).

Should have made it 200 wins for the mount at least so people queue more.

Not only did they remove the rank requirements for the gear forever ago, they drastically reduced the Wolf Mark costs for them back in 3.5 (a body piece went from 12,800 > 4000).

If you're referring to the Feast rewards, it's a reward for a competition. It SHOULD be exclusive. I competed for the first 2 seasons for the gear, and didn't rank for them, and I'm okay with that. Those that did (fairly) deserve them. SE already rolled over once on a Feast reward with those damn minions, and that was a very wrong move. If they start breaking the exclusivity of said rewards, then there's no real reason to compete for them, is there?

Even if they made it 200 wins it would have only taken a week longer to get it so not really the best move. The main problem stems from just balancing issues and quite frankly the cannon changes just showed the community that once again when it comes to almost anything SE is light years away from seeing the actual problems.

In that case, there's literally nothing to getting the gear if you want it. 1000 Wolf Marks per win. 1100 if it's a Frontline Roulette win. Body pieces and weapons cost the most at 4000 now. Everything else is cheaper. Heavensward and ARR gear is even cheaper than that. I'm just not seeing how any of it is hard to get, especially when Wolf Marks tend to just pile up anyways. If it's an issue with queue times, either queue multiple modes, or talk to other PvPers if there are any around and ask what seems to be popping regularly that day. I literally played every Frontline mode over the weekend, and the most I ever waited was 20 minutes or so. That's nothing compared to the 2 hours I once waited back in Heavensward.

Reminds me of those 4 hour Secure waits, only to get into a match with no healers and Adders/Flames had premades on the ready.
