[Suggestion] Scale Carbuncle Mounts

Suggestion: Scale the carbuncle mounts according to race average or character size.

Reason: As a cash shop item, it should look decent on all available races. For example, Sleipnir scales depending on its rider because the spatial difference between a Lalafell rider and a Roegadyn rider would be too large if Sleipnir did not scale. On the other hand, the Fat Moogle mount did not have to be scaled because the swing bench was sized ok-ish for all races.

Side comment: I've noticed that a lot of items look good only on Lalafells. I hope that's just laziness and not bias. Either way it's not nice. As a developer you should be inclusive of all your available races. Another miss was those fox ears that look weird on Mi'qote and to a lesser extent, Au'Ra and Elezen.

Please don't post Lalafell hatred or Lalafell master race comments as I don't want this thread to devolve to that.

uhm...but they are scaled XD it's just a very tiny difference...even male/female races have different sizes

Ah then improve the scale? Pictured are Lalafell and Miqote zoomed to a similar distance, the carbuncle size is almost the same.

The zoom is different if it is really the same position on the screenshots.
You can see that the railing posts on the second screenshot is smaller as in the first, also in the first the camera is 3 and a half ground plates away from the char while in the second it is 4 whole plates away.
So it is either a different distance to the stair or the zoom is different.
The only similar thing is the size of the carbuncle mount on both screenshots.

As a sidenote the zoom on every race is dependent on their height. So Lalas have a far smaler scaling of zoom levels like Miqo'te or even Roegadyn.

To show the scaling you need a reference height just beside you or behind you like the posts but you need them right next to you like you want to cuddle them.

Aye the zoom is difficult to place. Regardless, the scaling is barely noticeable and it just gets worse the bigger the character is. Have you seen an Elezen or Roegadyn on the carbuncle mount? Should the scaling be left at that even though it's a cash shop item, especially given that price?

I couldn’t agree more the mount looks like an adult riding a child’s bike on the middling races. Not too bad for my roe and super cute for my lala but just stupid on my Au ra

On the plus side though if Carby is being a bit naughty and not wanting to go where you want just put your legs down pick him up and turn him round problem solved :);)

undersized mounts seem to be popular lately. I'm ok with that. They're supposed to look like that. It's like the managarm. They do scale, just very slightly. I actually find the undersized mounts more fun. But thats just me, never taking the game seriously. :D

No. I don't want bigger carbies. Make them smaller for more cuteness!! :P

If it is supposed to be undersized, then it should be undersized for everyone not just bigger races i.e. make it smaller for Lalafells.

Certain movements and animation just don't work well when the scaling is bad. For example when this mount flies, my Miqote's legs end up dangling lower than the mount legs. That does not happen for my Lalafell.

Please scale the mounts based on your chosen race. For $24 I don't see why that shouldn't be an option.

I get it that some ppl think it looks "cute" for its current size and I would agree on that, if only because it fits Lalafell race perfectly.

As for the other races, it's just silly small and no longer "cute" when they're riding it.
