A small request

Greetings,
I just did the 52 White Mage quest and i will appriciate if you add a small QoL change to the game!
Can you please add the NPCs that are related to the solo Duty to our party list so it will be easier to heal them ?

There's quite a lot of NPC's that appear in solo duties for various class quest's, as well as for the MSQ (I think, could be remembering wrong tho), that should appear in the party list IMO. For instance another is the marauder NPC you have to heal in the Scholar lvl 30-50 quest's.

You can get around this by selecting the NPC and using the option "focus target" on them - this will ensure you will always have them showing up on your HUD, while still being able to target enemies and friendly NPC's at the same time.

However this work-around only works if there is 1 NPC you need/want to keep track of, as you can only focus one target at a time. So if you have multiple NPC's, then your stuck with only having 1 focus and manually having to check the other's - as I've not done the WHM lvl 52 quest I don't know how many NPC's are involved.

Yeaaaaah....I can see why this is a frustration...I encountered there issue often...you have to learn how to adapt unfortunately. Course NPC's that are relevant to your duty should be in a party list - helps to have a status of their health etc.

The "Unicorn" quest?
I walked right past it...then i came back around 50-55 White Mage - Couldn't do the bloody thing..literally had to break my white mage down to "strictly conjurer"
I get why...but Conjurer IS a White Mage.... its like saying you have to be a Thuantamage but NEVER a Black Mage to do this quest...doesn't make sense.

But yeah...would be nice.

Conjure is no a White Mage, White Mage is job by stone given to you by a tree, when you got it you basically became North Shroud "chosen" a Conjure is something different, same for Thuantamage is also different from Black Mage becouse when THN is common BLM Magic is rare stone (job) from acient time, haven't you been reading your lore? Even the NPC say "Your BLM, whaaaaa? No such thing the just gossip no such thing as BLM anymore" , Stormblood MNK quest make sure to tell you the Pugilist style is VERY different from Monk.
Gladiator and Paladin is also noted as different styles by NPC same for Lancer and DRG , Archer and BRD big note I remember the Notone wanted to go to BRD Lv30 NPC because he wasn't gonna teach how to kill but how to use intrument aka BRD
In other words a Summoner and Scholer both very different Job compared to the Arcanis Class.

Yohsi Love his Lore and regardless to what ANYONE say, all side quest/job quest are Cannon and sometimes you meet them on MSQ.. funny thing is they text will change for example in HW, if you complete your DRG , Estine won't call you WoL he will just start to call you azure DRG every second he get in the MSQ, same for other characters you meet , some will change from 'Hello adventure" to "Hi old friend"

Wasn't it advertised as whm mount not cnj mount?

One is a healer..the other is DPS.

And i'm going to flat out disagree with you on many levels.

Bottom line. - they ARE related...Conjourer and White Mage share the same basic skills/equipment/stats across the board. Up until you get to advanced spells.
Its down right annoying for someone who misses side quests and to go back and finds out they cant do the quest without breaking their arm for a few minutes..assuming they can figure it out that is.
Thanut and Black Mage are the same as well...yes..Black Mage is a more advanced/deeper form of Thaunt..dare i say forbidden arts.

Now a Red Mage? That is entirely different...whole different tree..whole different set. They may have "similar" spells - but they are not the same spells shared with other classes..aside from similar effects.

Lore I can understand. But for the sake of players who are relatively new - trying to figure things out - well lets just say I can understand an Astrologian/Schollar not being able to do the quest - very different abiltiies....but a White Mage? Yeah..no - that's just crazy.

And yes...other things like Lancer vs Dragoon , Pugilist vs Monk - find...they are "different" - yet you can't be a dragoon without starting as a lancer..can't be a monk without starting as pugilist...well gee - I wonder why that is? Maybe its because you start at the basic form...and then go to an advanced level?

And how often do you encounter a level 70 lancer/pugilist? I mean seriously...who does that? And not survive criticism on many levels? I'm sure they are out at there..but seriously gimped.....at best.

I'm talking about Lord , just like WoL got AST,DRK,SAM,RDM,MCH with out starting class same could be done and has happened to other in Lord with MANY,DRG, WHM,PLD,WAR... They gotten they soul stone with out training on what we call starter classes... is just us the WoL who got lucky enough to train as a Conjure before getting WHM Soul stone then we combine are conjure knowledge with WHM knowledge is what I'm traying to explain... Yes to us the players is basically the same thing... but in game lore is not? Get me?
So according to the game lore Conjure is NOT a white Mage.

A conjurer is not a white mage, but a white mage is a conjurer.

White Mage is a job that can only be taken on by a chosen conjurer. Defeating monsters as a white mage earns you "conjurer experience", and your cane/wand is described as a "conjurer's arm".

Even if some jobs are not tied to base classes, the white mage soulstone *is* only able to be equipped by a conjurer. Remember class is defined by weapon as well - we might only ever be able to equip Red Mage complete with soulstone, but perhaps their underlying class is Fencer and we just never see it.

On the original subject of the discussion - yes, it would be a huge help to have companion NPCs added to the party list! If nothing else, it needs to be done for the Hall of the Novice training, which is essentially teaching you to use the 'wrong' method for party targeting since you don't have access to the party list. (Particularly on PS4 using a controller, where you can only target NPCs with the left/right D-pad buttons, the same as you use for targeting enemies, so you can have trouble finding your target.)

And not being able to cure the unicorn as a white mage makes no sense. Maybe if it called for some kind of spell that you can only access as a conjurer but not as a white mage? But a cure spell is a cure spell, and there's no reason why it shouldn't work just because you had your white mage soulstone equipped when you used it.

Wow had a hard time understanding drunk, had to get dunk decipher. At any rate, you have played trough the warriors of darkness story line right? *Spoiler alert * there are multiple worlds and the names for each job vary. In our particular world the WHM is an advance branch.
