Question about Tank mounts

Not sure if this is the right place to put this topic so feel free to move it. Anyway, I'm currently farming for my PLD tank mount and I've heard that SE had removed rewards and I'm a little worried they remove the tank mounts. Do you still get the tank mounts when you get the achievements? Or did they remove them?

You should, all achievements mount you get from the guy in New Gridania

I haven't heard or seen anything that would indicate that any rewards have been removed or will be removed. From what I can tell SE aren't exactly in the habit of removing achievement rewards.
But why ask here when you can check all the achievements in the game yourself - including what rewards they will give?

The only rewards that were removed/moved were the veteran rewards

I wouldn't be here if I didn't check, but like I said, I heard rumors that SE removed rewards like some achievement rewards, so I needed more clarification before I continued farming my mount.

As a DRK I got my War Panther over the weekend - so that one definitively works. PLD so you're working towards your lion. Maybe I'll see you in PF.

Battle Panther is next.

The tricky part is realizing you have to go tell a story to "whats his face" by the waterfall in NG.

I'm sure you will fellow tank friend. Tbh, I consider tank mount farming my own personal "post game" content seeing as it takes a little while to grind for it. haha ;p

You can check the achivements and what rewards they offer from the in-game achievements list ...

Kinda already knew that but I was concerned they might have removed them as rewards, hence why I asked the question. Guess not everyone here knows how to read.

If they had removed them you wouldn't see them in the in-game achievements list. Or do you mean that they would somehow have removed them without changing the achievements? That would make little sense.
As long as you see the reward in the achievement list then it has - pretty much by definition - not been removed.

SE could concievably remove the rewards at some point in the future, but as far as I know they have never changed any existing achievements in order to remove rewards from them. It is just not the kind of thing they normally do.

I was afraid they somehow removed them without changing the achievements. I also heard rumors to that effect. I remember seeing certain achievement rewards even prior to stormblood that you could get like jse rings etc, but to my knowledge I never received them nor found them on the guy in gridania, so I was worried they did the same with the tank mounts.

Battle class rings that you get for leveling battle classes to 50 have been removed from the achievements, I checked...

The rings come from finishing the class Hunt logs. None of the HW/SB Jobs have hunt logs, so there are no rings.

No achievement rewards have been removed. Whoever told you that is either mistaken, or talking about something else.

You're probably thinking of veteran rewards (rewards granted from paying for the game for X amount of days), which got changed recently.

It's been awhile since I did hunting log stuff... since they never expanded upon... which is why I forgot...

Just a update, I finally got my pld tank mount! :D I noticed that all the items I mentioned are indeed from the guy in Old Gridania and I select the "Tell him a story" or w/e option it was and I got a crap ton of achievement rewards haha. Rip. Thanks for the tips guys.
