Idea: Procs on job gauges?

Ok just a thought here. the idea of the job gauges is to make gameplay simpler and require less time sifting through the status bar for various buffs and buffs and things.

So would it be at all possible to add various Key procs to the various job gauges some of the jobs have. for example brd has a straight shot timer now and that's cool but it'd be quite nice if it had some visual indicator of a straighter shot / refulgent arrow proc somewhere on that element. maybe something as simple as a lit arrow head on the end of the straight shot timer.

Red mage has that little diamond for enhanced melee skills but maybe add another one for dual cast procs. quite new to the job myself but already find I'm glancing at the bar a lot after dodging mechanics to see if it's still up. and not always easy to spot in a bar full of buffs.

maybe give blm one for thundercloud procs somewhere as well. there maybe a few more you could add for other jobs i'm sure.

The general idea of the ui elements after all is meant to be a one place to look element so players don't need to spend as much time watching the various status bars for procs and things so I think adding things like these would make a lot of sense and increase the elements functionality as a one place to look guage in stead of another place to look guage.

Maybe have a lightning effect appear on the gauge like its charged up if you have a thunder cloud proc?

Maybe they could implement some sort of visual indication on the relevant skills themselves, like maybe implement the yellow dotted line they already use for weaponskill combos?

They have that. the OP is asking that the relevant information be gathered in one place for the sake of elegance and good UI design.

LotRO has a plugin called buffbars. I'd love to see something like this in FFXIV.

Gauge was a bad idea anyway. I prefer the other way, put simplified gauge icons on the status bar. It doesn't make sense to have 2 status bar, the other named Gauge. Keep the sound effects, or even add more procs generate sound.

What I would love is if we could have a customizable event status bar thing. (For people who have played WoW, something like WeakAuras would be so amazing to have).

I play PLD 99.99% of the time and raid with this (I do not have that much knowledge about other jobs). I use the simple verion of the gauge at 80% scale (in settings the whole ui is set at 100% on a 1200P res).
So I have this relatively small bar (but still easy to read the number on it) and it would be nice if I could put the buff icons on it ... doesn't even have to be bars that will grow down on time left. BUT I would love to have them ordered on time left if multiple ones are on at the same time. And just my personal buffs just the ones I would put into some config file or something.

The normal buff bar can stay. But it would be handy to have this smal bar with all relevant info and this would also make it a bit more usefull because right now it doesn't really offer much.

I'd like to see this as a healer. The less job-specific things that are in the status bar and in the party list, the easier it is for me to see certain things like who's shielded or what's up with the cards I used. I'll never understand why important information like AST's cards or ACN's aetherflow stacks got removed in the first place but the entire party sees I have my thunder proc up as a BLM

Also wish the target bar had something like that. If I'm a samurai I really don't need to know that thunder or miasma are up on a boss. I know you can filter that to only show your own. But some middle ground would be nice.

Because while I may not need to see if thunder or bio or stormbite is up. It would be nice to see trick attack or chain stratagem for example as those things impact ny dps or the slashing debufs even if another party member has overwritten mine
