Please increase the number of tickets we can get each week again.
Last few weeks even on balmung we haven't been reaching the level 7 bonus. I can't even think of what it's like on other servers.

Complete aside about your signature: You should change the phrase 'only give' to 'prioritize giving' in all cases. This is what I do, and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here and assuming that you do too. That said, if you're doing what your signature says to the letter and not giving a kick ass healer a commendation because you're playing a dps and the other dps was meh, for example, then that comes across as douche-y at worst and anal retentive at best.
Let's be real, not even 100 more tickets will better our chances.
I witnessed someone win it. Once.
But seriously, increasing the number of tickets would both increase the chances of winning for all tiers as well as let us collectively reach the higher bonuses. If they want to do only the latter, it would be a better solution to simply reduce the threshold of tickets needed for each bonus tier.
People actually still play the weekly? I think I bought a ticket the first two weeks it was introduced and never again after that.
I only won 100k from it once.
That was almost a year ago. Every since then, I always got the consolation prize.
It is one minute of work every week and it always pays more than it costs (a few hundred MGP at best).
Every week, if you buy three tickets with different last number, you have a 3/10 chance of hitting one right number which pays out about 2000 MGP I believe?
Yes, that's mostly right. The chance of winning any prize if you make the last 4 numbers all different is 30%. You would have to remove the winning results that are higher up on the list to get the proper win percent for only the 4th place prize since they supersede winning it, but it's still roughly a 30% chance for the 4th place prize. 7 tickets would bump that to roughly a 70% chance.
i want to buy 10000 tickets o.o/
If the problem is fewer and fewer people play it, perhaps a better solution is to let the prizes accumulate? Let each prize get a simple multiplier for the number of consecutive weeks nobody had won the prize.
So 10 weeks of nobody having won the first prize makes it 10,000,000 MGP base. 3 weeks of nobody having won the second prize makes it 300,000 MGP base.
I think instead of more tickets, they should have more opportunity for payouts. Been playing since 2.0 and I can count on my fingers how many times I've won more then the consolation prize. Add payouts for having correct numbers in the wrong spot that pays out less then correct numbers in right spots. "Winning" more often will encourage people to play more often. Getting 250 a ticket per week would discourage anyone.
not only that, but even having correct numbers doesn't pay out enough. i once had 2 numbers right and what did i won? 10k mgp. that's nothing! and having 2 numbers right is just a 1% chance!
even 1 mio isn't even much anymore since they introduced the weekly challange log. i have bought every triple triad card, boosters, mounts and minions and sitting on 2.3 mio mgp right now...
The bonus tiers aren't fixed, though. Not sure if they're based on number of tickets sold the previous week (maybe), or if it's just a percentage of population, or something else. On Mateus, pre-incentives, we were lucky to ever have 700 tickets sold. Very rarely hit top tier bonus, but the lower ones were in the 600 range.
Since the population shift, the tiers have jumped to the 1700 range, because many more tickets are being sold.
Given that our tiers/tickets sold did not fluctuate back when they tripled the tickets we could buy, I would suspect it's more like "players" than "tickets sold." And, again, selling more tickets could just mean the tiers get higher.

This was the closest I ever got to winning the cactpot. Was a few weeks ago. (._.)
I think the problem is interest in the prizes. Everyone has what they want already so they've stopped playing GS games.
I agree more then 1 draw a week would be ok.
But the point is I would love to win the 3 in 10,000 chance and 10 tickets a week makes that 1: 1000 which really doesn't seem even that bad. A similar thing was done in FFXI lotto.
I would like the barding!
Also there is about 1.6m MGP I need to finish getting everything else I want. I'm just not in a super rush to grind it all out in a week.
... everyone ELSE.. sorry. If you've been doing weekly/daily MGP tickets and the weekly challenges and any of the other various MGP sources since the beginning? you're just sitting on MGP with nothing to spend it on.
Not telling you that starting "late" is a bad thing. But this is likely why nobody buys tickets anymore, especially on a server with no new players for quite some time.
I reaaaaaaaally want that achievement, besides the 1k TT roulettes duels, that's the last one I'm missing. It's sad I've got a 0.001% of one shotting it, or slug my way with lower income prizes from the same source which, with the given rules, it's almost impossible.
As for the situation in Balmung... I've been doing the daily minicacpots, weekly challenges and I was a very enthusiastic chocobo jockey. In all my years playing this, the closest I got from winning the cactop was... eh... 4th prize. Twice. Since I've got everything already, I have no reason to step in the GS other than convert the repeated TT cards I get from duties into MGP. I'm not even doing the daily mini cacpot anymore or the challenges at all. No reason to.
