It would be super cool if Perform could get its own hotbar via some kind of "mode change". As it stands I have to shuffle my hotbar around to get the notes on my bars so I can play them with my keybinds.

not ideal, but here is a workaround that uses your unused classes to swap the hotbars

Shouldn't have to go to this much trouble to do performance actions. What 70 bard has 4 free hotbars not in use by their bard? lol
They should have had a playback feature. Not this pluck your chords one at a time. Makes any melody sound a bit clunky.
Is there a macro command you can use in a macro for Performance Actions?
So they want us to suffer with it's simplistic form and clunky sound. I had to leave Limsa because people plucking nonsense chords there, is like listening to a really bad piano melody. A playback feature should have been implemented if we're suppose to enjoy this. Right now I'm unimpressed with it.
They probably didnt go all in on a UI and everything on purpose, test the waters, see if this ends up biting them in the ass with copyright or not. And if it doesn't THEN put in all of the bells and whistles and development time
Please. I want to try this feature, but I'm not butchering my main's hotbars to do so.
Tried using the workaround and got it to work, but then I hit the wrong macro and it overwrote my Bard hotbars. I think I'll wait for them to put a little more thought and refinement into this before I spend more time with it.
If you have every job unlocked, you should have nine unused classes available to use for bar swaps.
It's guaranteed that any BRD has at least one class (ARC) available.
Both macros should not be on your bars at once. The macro for switching to performance HUD should only be on a combat bar, and the macro to switch back to combat HUD should be in the same spot on the performance bars.
I don't know how hard it is for the dev team to make bard perform specific hotbars but it would certainly be easier for users in general then having to try workarounds with macro's. I would suspect we'll see additions to this after they've had time to weigh feedback and see how the performance feature is received.
