So, other than salt over the third-party music restriction for Performance Actions, what's everyone's thoughts? I think Rival Wings looks neat and am kind of excited to try it.

I have no thoughts until I see it.
Can't be disappointed if I have no expectations.
WHM Regen nerfed, still best healer.
No change on DRK...ok
Nice pld buff
RIP in pieces engage spam....
"This kills the squadron missions"

The following issues have been addressed:
*An issue wherein issuing the Engage order would reset squadron members' cooldown timers.
I just want to know one thing: where does the mount come from?
99% PvP stuff, so another "Who cares?" patch for me.
It's a between patch, so I expect nothing, as usual that is what happened. I don't care for either piece of content, but will keep an eye out on the instruments since they're doing more with it later on.
There's really no way they can enforce this in-game, so I see no reason to be salty over it. It's just one of those things they have to say to cover their own butts legally.
Rival Wings looks interesting; not sure how I feel about vehicles in PvP, but I like PvP (in this game) in general, so I'll check it out regardless.
Not to sure how I feel about the Flamethrower change honestly, or the Chain Stratagem change either.
Can I perform “Eyes on me” ?
Flamethrowel already did really good damage, but it was really hard to use because of that 10 second cast time. Now once you can do it in 5 seconds it is lot easier use against better players. It was pretty rare anybody sit into fire that whole 10 second, but once ppl did, it really hurt.

I think the restriction is just in place to protect their butts from legal action. Nobody is going to chase you down if you whip out safety dance. SE is just making it clear they're not condoning players performing other people's intellectual property with their assets.
Meh at best.
Are we getting extra special hotbars for Perform? I don't have any extra hotbars available...am I gonna have to write 6-7 macros just for swapping my hotbars into "Perform mode" and "Battle mode"?
Also, what about public domain stuff? Classical music?
I feel like anything which no one owns the copyright to and thus there is no one who might come after SE with lawyers asking for money would be fine.
But again, there is literally no way for them to stop you from playing anything you want, as long as you don't then record yourself playing it and post it publicly. If you post it somewhere and it comes to SE's attention, they'll probably send you or the web host a take-down request, but if you want to play a private concert for your friends, no one's going to stop you.
Probably. Just don't go crazy in a major city or anything and I doubt anyone will bother you about it. :)
I wonder if we really will get new instruments like we was suppose to get new egis with each patch.....
Did vercure really need a buff? RDM was already the only dps with a spammable heal, now it’s just as powerful as clemency for 1000 less mp...
I dont take any .5 patches seriously and dont give high expectations for them.
I wish they add at least a Flute too, only harp for now seems too monotone. (jokes aside)
Sadly, no we did not. I have to use crossbar sets to perform because my hotbars are all full. This means it's something for me to slot when not in combat then remove when I'm done so it doesn't mess with my rotation.
We actually do have a flute. Bards play one when they use Peloton.
Also to those thinking this patch is all about PvP and Performance, there were some fixes relative to PvE content. Squadron Command Missions and a couple of 24-man raids got fixes, among other things.
Am I the only one who is disappointed that they gave us a new PVP mode, but no new PVP glamour gear to use Wolf Marks on?
I don't play the PvP in most games but even I can tell the new PvP mode is just FF14's take on a MOBA game I play (Heroes of the Storm), which even that is a retake on an older version
Other then the Bard Perform thing it really is a meh patch.
No fixes for jobs that are not balanced = :(
if you annoyed with the bard songs, go

My only focus was the new performance emote, if I'm being honest. I wanted to see just how in-depth it was going to turn out - it has some great flexibility!
I'm not much for PvP, but I might check out the new mode whenever I have time. I've been reading good things about it.
