Final Fantasy is given this name for a reason, to have the maximum level of fantasy...
but the puzzle is incomplete .. is Real Challenge .. I love Challenges that on game, but only challenge is to know tactics . . . after that content become easy in boring way


Big missing part is number of people participate in event (I'm not against 8 people doing event, event sometime i wish if they make 5man things) We need too many options in events, but to make main event with highest number of event, I'm Sure Dev team know how to calculate, we used to have problem that have too many people want to get in event of LS .. but always "Sorry we full" .. i miss the dynamis .. limbos .. and more interested content ( i dont bring ffxi events to compare, but to tell you how its was in level of difficulty).

One of Main Reason i want the member number in party increase , because i want to recommend something to dev team, will but unique combat system for raids

1.Duel Chain (For tanking) that idea is so crazy , when i figure out how will work.
this One require 2 tanks to be next to each other , which will take em to put shield next to each other and increase both Defense by 10~25% depend on how the Algorithm of the Combat will be.

2.Herbal Chain (For healers) this one for healers, 2~4 healers(increase number of healers fast the cast) need to cast complete this spell which will create a Circle on ground, if healer stand on it will give them Increase Cure effect on other people who use the same system of combo.

3.Triangle of Power (For Magic Casters) this one require 3 mages .. to stand on Triangle way to be able to cast this spell and create crystal will spawn , which will give Party Member only 1 time click to restore MP except the 3 mages who cast spell of that crystal will allow to use it 3 time .. and restore only 30~40% of mp pool.

4.Bloodthirsty (For Melees) this require 5 melees to be activate, they all need to have 3000TP and stand on top of each other then they will activate it. this one will give melees 100% damage on next Combo they going to use, but they need to start combo with other 2000+TP to gain the 100% damage increase.

This System will make no one sleep during the combat of any big boss because u need to work hard to kill it faster.

People whine everytime they can't clear challenging content... The Moogle prerequisites showed me just how many people can't handle a challenge.

It's cool for the first time doing it, it's not a challenge........... it's a no-brainer and just purely annoyance timesink when you have to do it over and over again.

Combined with the terrible decisions of the totem/loot distribution from moogle who the hell would want do that awful pre-req over?

There is a difference between CHALLENGING and COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. Sadly XI purists and most of the people who think XIV is ready to pay for now cannot differentiate the two.

...because it has good reason not to exist right now.

Still, this game for sure needs a few bosses that no one can kill, or at least they get killed maybe once or twice over the lifespan of the game. That is needed.

SE needs to add 5 different tactics each boss in the game and have the AI randomly pick a tactic and go with it just to throw parties off so the fight doesn't feel so....monotone. This way, each fight doesn't feel the same.

j/k, isn't this how all games are? You observe, experience, then understand what tactic to use in the boss battle?

Actually, SE are looking for feedback. That's primarily what these boards are for. More feedback = better game = munnies for SE. So it's good to complain, whine, or whatever people wanna call it because SE will understand what to fix, what to add, and what not to waste their resources on. Praising the game all the time like fanboys are always suggesting isn't helping anybody.

With that said....SE, where is my casino, dammit! :)

I mean seriously it took a long time to get that first Ifrit win, it took less than a day to get the first Moogle win.

I think it would help to make a big numer content similar as Dynamis in FFXI. We have often the problem that we have 15 or 17 ppl Moogle/Ifrit so not everyone can enter and/or we can't make a good balanced pt since we have some newer ppl there as well.

And a funktion to make an alliance (so 2 or 3 pts can share treasure stuff) would be awesome as well thinking of Stronghold Bosses.

Even If creating a mass event is too much trouble atm please give us the option to ally up 2-3 pts.

Yes, it might have been killed 5-6 hours after the patch by good players, but I still didn't kill Good King Moogle Mog XII, so content which is not challenging for others may be challenging for other people.
And of course it's not challenging if you keep on killing that ball of fur with the same classes using the same tactic. It's not even fun.

the content being added now, is reflective of what the team is going to make later.
Telling them what does and does not fly now are what we are SUPPOSED to do in the forums.

Hmm let me see and i maybe incorrect , but Ifrit was challenge because of the lag killing people?(true Store)
and the moogle fight.... I done this fight 3 times , the last time the fight was beat.... so the tactic my ls told me to do was DPS burst... pay attention to the killing list ...

still waiting for the challenge of that fight..

Silly posters, anything that can be beaten by more than the top 1% players is easy, casual stuff.

Ah, one thing I'd like to point out: Time it takes for the first kill is a completely subjective (and, imo, plainly wrong) way to determine how "hard" a fight is. Ifrit took longer not because he's inherently harder than moogle, but because most players have lag problems that prevent them from evading his moves, so it took some time to get a good workaround to that. Moogle isn't really affected much by that obvious limitation, so the whole "adapt to the lag" step was completely taken out of the equation, therefore the battle took less time to be beaten.

Also, the whole "hurr, durr, this content has been beaten 6 hours after release, easy mode casual crap" mentality is equally bs. So, if one or two linkshells are able to defeat a fight after throwing their best players non stop right after the patch for hours and finally beating it after 20-30 tries, does that mean the content is "easy"? Come on, throw me a bone here. By that logic, they just need to increase cooldown to 1day and suddenly it takes one month for Garuda to be defeated. That's a hard battle!

I'm not claiming the Ifrit or Moogle batles are highly challenging; they truly aren't. But, they're also far from easy, and you can see that the average group still has problems beating them after several tries and still wipe every once in a while even when they have plenty of wins. I'd say the difficulty is in a good middle point where it's neither bone crushingly challenging, nor monkey-easy.

Does that mean I personally don't want more challenging fights? Wrong. I do hope a few of the future content is much harder than these fights. But I also hope SE keeps making fights similar to Ifrit / Moogle battles, in the sense the average player in the average linkshell can hope to defeat them after trying just a few times without a guide.

In my opnion, they need to strike a balance between extremely challenging fights, moderately hard fights and even a few entry-level endgame content to introduce players to high level mechanics so they can better prepare for the harder battles. Currently, I'd say we only have the "mid-level" tier battles.

If they willing to have this option, they have at least reduce number of people ... which will break up the Full Group buff system ..

I would prefers same as dynamis .. each alliance was alone ... but still participate in same fight.

But if I have to say it: Ifrit is not hard because of lag between his abilities, since you can get pretty much used to it. The whole thing about Ifrit is to watch out when he's going to do his actions, therefore the Animation Lag. Once you understand that, it's a cakewalk even without armor.
But that's not the point of my post before. If you go killing, let's say, Ifrit, with the same lame setup (5 THM, 2 CON, 1 Tank) it'll grow up boring, and then you guys will come here and complain because it's easy as f*ck. Try other setups, have fun damnit! If the whole fight was to get the weapons then you're doin' it wrong! And that's not only for Ifrit, but for Good King Douchebag and the others that will come.

batraal fight very creative, I like that need Control Node .. , kill adds and Tank Kiting batraal.

And a Note to a lot of other People in this Thread. Dont mix Timesink with Challenge or Cooldown. Just the fact you repeat something over and over again to get the best out of it, DOES NOT make it Timesink. Its called Challange.

A time sink (or timesink) is an activity that consumes significant time. Primals and Significant amount of Time doesnt fit. They are done pretty fast. I seriously start hating that people start pulling this Sentence in every friggn Post, where someone is asking for Challenge: "Bohoo im a crybaby, this is a Timesink". Protip: First clear your mind and think about, what are you going to Post.

If you people want Content which takes less than 5 Minutes, go ahead and have S*x with your Girl. ;)
