Is snowball a permanent emote?

Just wondering if any community reps could chime in and say whether or not snowball will be left in the game indefinitely. If they don't plan on keeping it in the game I would like to start a petition to keep it because its the best emote.

People need to stop snowballing, its rather disgusting

But I do think it needs to be removed, need to add /waterballon for summer

I don't see the harm in it. Make it use up an ice shard!

I thought it was available last year for a short time then removed till the winter season again if I recall.

If it was, I was certainly never made aware of it.

Keep it! and add some cool ones in later, maybe they could make a quest where u can unlock the emote for each different event they bring out. That way you get something fun to show of that isnt clothes.

P.S. also where is my slap emote!

As a side note.... can you still /hide your main?

I just feel bad for the poor GM reporters whenever they show up they are just pelted with snowballs to no end.

But I think that once spring arrives anyone who attempts to /snowball should instead /facepalm for trying to throw snow in spring. What is this Canada? (Canadian btw)

I think it should be removed after the New Year's event ends. Kinda takes the fun out of it if it's always there. That's what I think.

Snowball might go 1/16 with the end of the event. I like the idea tho...making special emotes availble only during events prevents ppl from growing tired of them and, depending of the emote, even looking foward to the next event. ^^

You can bet that if /snowball is removed when the event is gone, i'll be looking foward to valentine's day one =P a nice emote is all valentine's day would need to go from a very weak event to a nice one! ^^

SE valentine's day content were always "straight only" (assuming past FFXI events) so probably emotes from it won't accept gay combos.

I care very little tho...IMO they should leave the roes, elves and highlanders do all their gayness they want. It's part of my request from allowing emote customization so you could use the default race emote or the one from any of the other races' one...IMO if a highlander wanna /sit like a miq or /dance like a lalafat F, np. =P

I dont know about the rest of the roes but i plan on trying to scale the outside of the coral tower to steal a kiss from miss mrylweb come February!

Other than that, i think /snowball is the best emote in game so far, and i'm going to miss it when it's gone. I hope SE would let us use it in Xarcabard-like snow-heavy areas in the coming future, though ^^;

Can you also add /slap and /sigh back as emotes? Some people just need to be sighed at and slapped.

Why not both?

Snowball can be a pretty fun emote and I like the idea of /waterballon for the summer :D

I just want it moved from the top position in the emote list.. most times I go to /sit recently, I end up throwing a random snowball..

I like it, but it'd be cool if they could come up with seasonal emotes to replace it, and just cycle them through...

Dec-Feb = Snowball
Feb/Valentines = Cupid's Arrow/Blow Kiss?
May/June-August/September = Water Balloon/Squirt Gun
Halloween = Either /egg, /toiletpaper or /shavingcream (pranks)

This kind of goes alongside the emotes as well, can we get some different types of fireworks through alchemy recipes? That was one thing I always loved in xi, there were tons of different fireworks. Someone gave me peach confetti the other day and I am almost out, and its near impossible to get now.

Can we get some replenishable recipes for new fireworks next july?
