Your opinions about the Kojin glamour?

Hello all,

with rank 7 you will unlock the new costume with the Kojins and I kinda wanted to know how you like it. Do you like/dislike it, and why?

My opinion: I was quite disappointed when I saw it. I have all the glamours from the Vanu and the Gnath tribe and I loved how we were able to look like them. With the Moogles you only got shoes but I could understand that since we already have a moogle outfit in the game. Yet with the Kojin it only looks like its based on their design while most is just normal armor.

I mean the armor itself looks pretty good but I kinda was hoping for another costume that makes us look like the beast man himself.

I love it, it's so big and bulky on a Roegadyn. Just wish it was dyeable.

I'm quite fond of it, wish the shell is slightly larger though. And that it could be store in the armoire or something...

And dyeable like ErryK mentioned. Any chance you might have some screenshot of it on a male roe Erryk? :3

Love the armor, hate its not dyeable.

I feel like the TMNT in that outfit. Love it.

I like it buuuuut...

1) It needs to be storeable in the armoire... along with the 50 billion other non-stat glamour whites they keep feeding us. Do you hear me Square Enix. LET US STORE GLAMOUR ITEMS IN THE ARMOIRE! :mad: :mad: :mad:

2) It needs to be dyeable. Hate that it's not.

I like the pants a lot! And as many others here, would love for them to be dyeable. Gotta say, that's one of my biggest gripes about XIV. Just make all gear dyeable and call it a day.

Love it. Did glamour the fuma hakama from LotA onto the legs though, and wish it was dyeable but maybe we'll get a red version later

I'm sure we'll get the Player 2 color at Bloodsworn, but I don't understand why they can't just make the beast tribe armors dyable. So many of them could be great for all kinds of glamour, if only they could be dyed.

I like it. Especially the difference in sheen on the armor and the shell. The armor has a dull sheen whereas the shell is shinier.

The helmet looks ugly in a good way. :D Perfect for tanks and samurai who want to look extra fearsome. Might go well with the current generation of pvp tank gear as well. (although what that set REALLY needs is a Hanya mask imo)

Looking forward to the red version. I feel that will have more glamour matching potential with other gear pieces. In the meantime, ill glamour this on SAM untill I grow tired of it.

Thats the odd thing about the Kojin and an interesting detail to the armor: its exactly what the Kojin wear. But we know very little of what the Kojin actually look like. So far we can tell the colour of their skin, the shape of their hands and feet and their posture. They wear masks and their shell is not a part of their bodies. You can tell because theres space between their backs and the shells. There are straps holding them in place and theres a kojin NPC sitting on the ground polishing a separate one in Tamamizu. I think its safe to assume that they have a traditional purpose and/or perhaps a practical one with regards to their amphibian nature.

This appears to give the outfit more significance than the other costumes. To wear their traditional clothing is of more value than simply looking like their race imo.

Love the armor! I plan on glamouring it for use on my SAM. He will be the Kojin Samurai!

Hate the shell and that you can't dye it.

Cool design; do wish it was dyeable.

I actually like it would like it much more if dye-able but for now good enough

Thank you all for your opinions. Yes I agree the armor itself looks great (and its probably just me that wants it still to look more like the tribe itself) but I agree that it should be dyeable and should be stored. (The same with the other beast tribe armors) But at least we can buy them again if we want to.

It is nice, but can't dye it. On top of that where is the mount? I want the stingray.

I love the pants, they can work really well with some glamours but other than that I don't really care for it.

I get that. Just a complaint about them changing up when you get it compared to HW. Just more of a grind to get now.

HW was also a change compared to ARR, was it not? I just looked at my reputations and the ARR tribes went to 8 after the allied quest. HW went to 9 after similar quest...will the SB ones go to 10? Or will they stop at 9 again?

The current max rep is 8 for Kojin so it'll go to 9 after said quest.

You can rebuy them every time, can't you?

to be able to buy or earn it again and again = disqualified for the armoire

You know after thinking about it a bit more I would really love if they gave us two outfits. One would always be the exact replica of the beast tribe itself (like the Vanu one) and the second one would be an armor which uses only the style of this. In that way both sides could get what they want and would give us more glamour options in the game.

I love it. It doesn't look so good on my character, but hell, it is FAR better then the other beast tribe gear (come on, vanu vanu halloween gear? gnath? FUGLY.). It looks great on so many characters. Pure awesome TMNT armor. Can't wait to see the Ananta prizes, i hope the clothing looks great too! (expecting girlish things for us muhuhuh!)
