Was wondering how people would feel if they added this as a new possible glam.
Would it be better to be crafted or mogstation?

..I thought you meant.... I dunno- something like a Christmas sweater..... If there’s a male equivalent I’m all for it though.
Just yes please. I'd be all over this even if its mogstation, don't care but the need is real.
Sure, as long as males get this variant:

With or without the hair?
I rolled my eyes when I saw it was the VKS and though "Oh no"
Then I saw what was pitched for the male version and thought "Oh yes."
I say why not? PURELY for the laughs. People get too serious over glams sometimes. We need to just get weird and have a laugh every now and then.
Have my yes vote.
Male version, sure. They don't really have as many 'skimpy' options as ladies. Female version? Isn't there enough slut gear in the game as is? Why not just have it actually be a sweater, instead of lingerie?
I came in here expecting some warm and fluffy winter glam... ... Of course it would be a revealing outfit instead, why would I have expected anything different.
So pretty much a miqo hempen top with some length.
I’m game! That is the thing I miss most every time I fantasia.
would love to see my main alt in the VKS, I think it would look something like this -> http://cynthea.tumblr.com/post/15680...hat-sweater-is
(click at your own peril NSFW)
mind you i've seen some IRL males in this top too
Everything thats skimpy for the ladies are just as skimpy for males. And the armors that cover everything up for males almost 99% of the time cover everything up for females. This game does balance fanservice, so as long as it keeps the balance i see no problem in it. So don't go bashing the game with the generic "oh my god all gurls looks like sluts in their gear" because it's NOT true. You are free to make your characters show her/his skin or cover it, and hell it does have lots of options. I've seens plenty of variations of half naked male characters ingame.
And i'm all in for VKS, it would be really nice.
How can it balance fanservice, when it does not balance the amount of outfits that both genders can wear? Ladies have more options when it comes to skimpy outfit, so no there is no balance. I do not agree 100% with Niraves, but please dont come with this bullcrap. The moment ladies were able to wear bunny outfit and males got nothing, is the moment the balance ceased to exist.
On-topic:
I like both the sweater shown for the females and males, aslong as SE creates a sweater for both genders, I am fine with it.
As far as i know, the only skimpy suits that females can wear that males can not are Bunny (which square promissed a version for males already) and thavnairian bustier. End of it. Unless you want to wear a skirt or female swinwear on your male character (which im pretty sure there are plenty of options for both male and fem on these as well).
But my whole point on my original comment is: This ain't the traditional "full plate on guys and armorkinis on girls" game.
BTW they are taking their sweet time on male bunny wear :<
Add it and make it male only for giggles.
Sorry ladies, but only M!Roes are sexy enough to sport that sweater.
Yes to both male and female concepts. You can never have enough slut glams. :D
I support this thread. Here are some similar sexy winter wear ideas:

There's been a difference in the quality and sexiness for a while on top of that, though.
The GARO gear was sexy, unique leather gear on women, fully concealing mediocrity on most jobs for men (in spite of ignoring established GARO genderlocking lore for the armour): http://imgur.com/a/F4lCs
A lot of AF for men is based on the female version with some extra concealing panels here and there - with the first MCH AF being a very welcome and rare counterexample.
Similarly, a lot of 'skirts' are plain pants on men and endless panty shots on women.
Seasonal gear is a terrible offender, with every one of the S-E art team's fetishes for female attire coming out into the open while guys get reskinned coatees, reskinned chef aprons, UGG boots and other leftovers.
Several armour pieces appear to take the male version and chop sections out to reveal cleavage, like the Halone's Mail of Fending (a previous female poster complained about this one; it literally deletes Halone herself and replaces her with boobs, which is sort of funny): https://img2.finalfantasyxiv.com/acc...adc2688063.jpg versus https://img2.finalfantasyxiv.com/acc...f32ae735a5.jpg
Many of the accessories which go with genderlocked outfits (especially legwear) are sexy for women and either unisex or plain for men, making it hard to come up with similar cute combinations. We have also had a second sexy bunny suit for women while waiting for the first male one to make any kind of appearance at all. Nearly three years and they haven't even bothered unlocking the ears themselves.
The series is rapidly losing any moral high ground over those "full plate on guys and armorkinis on girls" games at this point. But this thread has been funny :D
I agree with some stuff and disagree with others, mostly because some design choices would end terribly if you used identically male-fem. The sexy on man is not aways the same that is sexy on women, and sometimes theres not an equivalent for both on standard fashion. Like the skirt, for an example. A short skirt for certain armors would look really pretty on girls, but what would you do for a guy? Trunks? Can you imagine how ugly the bard AF gear would look with trunks? That reminds me of a roman themed armor that had 6-pack and looked good only on male Roes and Highlanders. Not fanservicing at all, but it's an example that identical is not aways good.
I gotta agree that male characters deserve more love on some clothing, but it ain't as easy as just giving them Thav bustier looking just like it looks on the ladies.
And damn, was it that long for the bunny boy suit? Now thats sad.
Yet people on female characters ask for the male glamours and get them while the males don't get anything. Not the female version, not even a new version to make it fair. Sailor outfit was male-only. Made unisex. Gambler outfit was male-only. Made unisex. I don't even know about the Bestman's suit but it's unisex anyway. Female-only glamours? Hmm.. Bridesmaid's dress, Spring dress, Bunny outfit, Bunny Chief outfit, Thavnairian Bustier. Females also get to have the Gambler set, Sailor set, Thavnairian male set(cant remember name, it's too ugly), Bestman's suit. What die the males get so far? They're still waiting on the imaginary male bunny set. And JUST that set. Imagine if they were asking for something to fill every space?
So far the only gear that we've been getting where both genders get something is gear that's foreign. Gear that isn't? All genderlocked. Minfillia hair and costume still genderlocked. Females have Aymeric's hair. Fair. Edda costume came out before the male bunny set. Yda's SB set has already been datamined. Where's Hien?
On-topic: I only put a like in for the male sweater. That's actually a sweater. That thing is as much a sweater as Shisui is tank gear. I was actually expecting a sweater but why am I even surprised.
My opinion, scrap that whatever-that-is and make that male sweater as the thing we get for both genders. Judging by the likes though it looks like it doesn't matter though.
So OP wants to dress their character with the Virgin Killer Sweater? Sure, I'm game for more casual glamours.
something like this?
http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/...20/878/e73.jpg
sure im in
We do need sweaters like dresses and keyholes, but virgin killers need to go right back in the trash where they belong.
I doubt most people even know what it is or why it has it's name. I didn't know either until I did research. Yeah keep it in the trash. There is nothing good behind asking for this top

Looks like the female elezen hempen camisole pretty much.
https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...m/1eb02c24041/
that's about that but SFW, and we already have it :P not a sweater yes but it reminded me of it
I vote they do both versions, and make them BOTH unisex. We already have precedent for unisex open fronts like the second option (the Ifrit-themed tomestone armor), and there's nothing inherently feminine about open backs; men have sexy back muscles, let them show them off!.
A nice bonus would be making the cleavage-sweater crafted, and instead of doing a 'dyable' and 'undyable' version as usual, they could make a 'chest hair' and 'no chest-hair' version this time. Both unisex, naturally.
I think its comical that threads like these don't have all the lore, immersion, etc... whiners coming out of the woodworks but the second something like clouds bike gets mentioned here they come running like rabid rabbits bombarding the thread.
Tell that to all the half naked cat and lizard girls running around my server. There needs to be less fanservice-y skankmogs and more actually useable pieces of glamour gear.
A turtleneck sweater glamour would be great. But a turtleneck lingerie top is, first of all, impractical. How is it even going to keep you warm? And second of all, its a stupid trend and we don't need more revealing slutty gear. Theres plenty of it as is.
I don't dress like a whore, therefore I must be a prude. Hmm.
And you're right, no ones going to force me to wear it. But this is a public forum and I'm allowed to express my opinion on things, even if you don't like it. And in MY OPINION, we don't need more skimpy gear.
