What is your character's theme? Come and share it.

I thought of a fun little thread to start this time, and hopefully this lasts for a little while. And that there isn’t a thread similar to it. Basically, share what your character theme song would be. If your character, main or alt, had a theme song, what would it be and why? The only rule for this (yes, I know rules, blah) is that it has to be a Final Fantasy song (any song featured in any title with the Final Fantasy title).

I’ll go first.

Kaiva’s song would definitely be Shiva’s theme in phase 2. To me, Kaiva can’t stop the killing, no matter how much she wants to – she feels like she has no control over her life, so she just keeps fighting in hopes that perhaps death can make her stop. Figured that Shiva’s theme more closely matches Kaiva’s characterization.

Are FF spin-offs allowed aswell?

With that concept in mind, I'd choose Don't Be Afraid from Final Fantasy VIII. It evocates courage, the need of pressing on and overcome any obstacle. :)

Ah, I remember a couple of threads about Character Theme Songs. Unfortunately, there isn't a FF theme that grabs me or empowers me when I'm down to my last knee. But if I had to choose, I would say... Worlds Collide.

If I could distill all my theme songs down to one (I have many, depending on what I was doing at the time and where I was at, just like in the actual games themselves), it'd probably be:

For me it would have to be FFXII's A Quiet Decision! FFXII is just beautiful in every way and this theme symbolizes everything I like about Final Fantasy.
And if I had to choose one it would be from XII so this is the one, it has a thoughtful, carefree, wandering and wondering, and quiet approach to things and it goes with how I am.

There's a Dippin' Dots here where I live. I've never tried them, though.

Anyways, back to the issue at hand. I'd say my characters theme would be Cantata Mortis & God in Fire from Dissidia: Final Fantasy Duodecim. The buildup done by Cantata Mortis with God in Fire explosive start is perfect for how my character is. Someone who relishes in destruction and bringing chaos to everyone(mostly Garleans, though).

The way the song works fits her lore and life :>
It starts with a military/army vibe, them it goes ominous to finally heroic.
It pretty much makes her journey from ARR to SB pop in my head: From a lost ex-soldier used to be bound to duty without free will, to a free hero and adventurer with her own voice and choices.
I like to fit how the WoL got so much more expressive on the latest xpac on her lore.

BGM of the Sanctuary of Zi'tah from FFXI. It's calm and quiet, pretty much just like me and my character :)

My theme song has changed a few times. First it was Flibbertigibbet from the Sylphlands, then it was Papaya, now it is The Kiss. If the song was a color, it would be pink, and I am the pink potato, so it is a natural fit!

Final Fantasy IX - Zidane's Theme

It's already one of my favorite songs because of how it captures the cheerful side of the character while not leaving the fact that they have their own problems and inner turmoils, yet they put those aside so they can focus on helping others in need, which is pretty much what the WoL is all about IMO

I'm a tad bit surprised that there hadn't been a One-Winged Angel...but it's early :)

I wonder if it will be possible to play some of these themes when 4.15 drops. I'm definitely going to try them when the bards comes out. Might even put on a little show in, oh I dunno...Limsa Lower docks. "You're Not Alone' comes to mind, because I feel like that might be a good theme for Kaiva and perhaps a lot of us too depending on the 8-man.

Crimson's regular non-battle theme would be "Full Speed Ahead!" from FFXIII-2. As for battles, I'd say for normal battles it'd be "Dark Messenger" (or whatever Square's calling it these days) from FFIX, and then "Ultima" from FFXIV for those battles when he's enraged and his powers go out of control. (what, I can headcanon that happening with my own character, right?)
