In one of the live interviews, not sure if its one or two, along with Male Miqo'te Yoshida also mentioned the possibility of Dragons as a playable race, was that an idea or is there an actual plan to have a playable dragon race?

yeah i dont know about any dragon races coming to Eorzea. Eorzea's theme doesn't really fit a dragon as a playable race

Hmm, interesting. I honestly don't see a dragon looking that good as a race. Just imagining the dragons shown in the trailer in the job gear makes a weird mental picture.

Though we're more than likely to get this kind if we do, considering it's FF.
Not that i necessarily want a cartoon/anime dragon as a playable race, just one with a more prominent dragon head, bangaa look more like a scaled dog race than they do a dragon race.
Though they might just end up being like Gria from tactics, hume look with horns/wings/tail kinda like miqo'te but with dragon instead of feline traits. -

I would love to see dragon as a race. I like they are adding old school style FF stuff into 14, but I also like seeing original stuff as well.

I'd take even just a race that's 1/16th dragon-related myself.
We already have dragon and demi-human races in the world of Eorzea, making it worthless for them to have mentioned it in the previous quoted context unless they were specifically talking about making them playable races as in the same manner they mentioned male miqo'tes and female Roegadyn/Highlander.Quote:

I just think this game is in a desperate need of some individuality between races, and since all FFs in the same niche share a common theme, its better for them to add it sooner than wait for an inevitable FFXIX Online and again listen to people complain that races are a choice between humans, small humans, big humans, and humans with cat ears.
