A rquest for more feminine clothes, and not just the *sexualised* clothings.

First of all, thank you all for reading this Thread. Hello, and Thank you for watching my thread. This thread is a request and a hope for Square to hopefully actually put more Feminine clothes into the game, which all can use, High heels being one, Tights, Stockings, just ordinary feminine clothing, not just very sexualised ones, like the summer wear, or The GS clothes, or the alike. As a legacy player, i honestly feel it should be abit more feminine and unisex clothes, for everyone to use, because of, FF XIV is an amazing game, and it deserve to have good, feminine and cute clothes. And i'm not talking the normal fantasy of, school girl outfit, maid outfit, etc, but Actuall clothes which are feminine. Tights, Stockings, high heels, frilly socks, diffrent panties, bra's, underwear and the alike. I understand FF XIV isn't the kind of game which is like this.. but it would be fun to have more variation, because after so long, you do get tired of the constant normal/armor/combat armors.

It would be interesting to get more variation of that variety. I, too, would like to see that.

I'm not one for overly girly clothing but a little more variety would be nice to see.

Honestly I was hoping for an actual highschool girl outfit (from type-0) by now, or even something as simple as an advent children's Tifa outfit, but you've got several situations where we're still not even able to armoire most of the stuff we /have/, take for example the blackbosom set, the uwagi set, the fuga set, the scion healer set, the scion rogue set, minfilia's set, the eastern journey set, the maid set, butler set, crag/ifrit masks, the moogle set, quite honestly, SE needs to rein in our inventory use on these items.

Quite honestly, I'd love nothing more than a kimono that actually wore properly instead of riding up just to my tail, I'd like the base miqo'te model to get an update to at least give some emotion to their ears (like their male counterparts) instead of only allowing that in like, what, 3 emotes now? (/eureka, /spectacles, and /songbird, off the top of my head), keep in mind males seem to react on just about every single one, and could we at least get a revamp (or just reenable the 1.0 models still present in the game) to put us on the same level of care as the au ra models? or are we still held back by PS3 limitations, honestly... I'd just like to have tailholes in armor actually line up with where the base of my tail is, instead of veering off simply because they removed a hip bone from the miqo'te's skeleton.

Rant aside, yeah, I would like to have more girly outfits, and in a way, 1.x's old underwear slots actually were a way to help add a bit of diversity to one's wardrobe, as you could add an undershirt to things, or even a different kind of smallclothes, something that wasn't just, "oh you dyed the skirt, but it also makes everything underneath the same color, and it just doesn't seem to look right...

I agree here too.
Different clothings would not be such a big deal i suppose. As well to say, Underwear and such are common to other MMO's these days and often, if they peek through/beneath the other clothes, can give a nice combo/mix and more variation for Glamours, Styles and a enjoyment for those Roleplayers out there.
I also agree to perhaps give the Miqo'te female a tiny update, and overall all races and genders. I tend to cover the feet at 100% of the time as the toes give with those creepy "nothing equipped on feet" sandals make me just shiver and put on the next outfit fitting or matching shoes, boots what ever.
Perhaps it will take some time to make such changes, addings, updates, and of course this maybe is not the highest priority in FF XIV, but it is one to make some players, especially those old ones (Legacy player and some who at least started with ARR), a bit happy.

I agree Emi - I've long asked for those gorgeous Elizabethian gowns the noble ladies of Ishgard wear to be added as player glamour gear for instance (along with something equivalent for the guys :)).

We already do have some beautiful outfits already in the gamethough - for instance my PLD glamour features the Spring Skirt (although that's another trope entirely ;)) and why even my 'everyday' wear for Enki is the Riveria Dress. ;) But more is desperately needed! :D

Please Yoshi! Please give us more feminine couture! :D

Some more not-hyper-sexualized feminine clothing, and some shorter-sleeve (not to be confused with sleeveless) dresses included, would be nice. This isn't just for roleplaying, but rather for just lounging around and wearing something pleasing to the eye.

First of all! i appriciate so much that you took the time to reply to my post and Thread, and i do agree with you, it would be quite nice to have some more *feminine which isn't Hyper sexualised clothing, or what we have now, don't get me wrong it's *fun and good* but most are used for E RP and some for RP. So that's why i am asking for mroe *casual clothings. :) i hope SE looks into this thread! <3

Absolutely agree with you Enki, it's quite unique to have a thing we can agree on, with clothing, it's just so much HYPER sexualised female clothing or armor, or etc, which is on FF atm, so variation would be great! <3

As I mentioned before I'm not one for overly girly clothing but yes we can use more clothing that is more conservative and less revealing in certain areas that also has a feminine flare to it. Sets such as the Leon heart set are great as they are Unisex but that is part of the problem either things are unisex or are overly revealing in certain parts of the feminine body and this does need to be changed.

I've been able to make some decent outfits even despite the otherwise limited selection (other than shoes... the selection of shoes in this game is.... god awful to say the least) I've only found like a couple of pairs of shoes that I can even remotely work with, namely Summer Sandals, Faire Sandals, and Dhalmelskin Shoes (Pure White), to a lesser extent the Best Man's Gaiters (pure white), or the Maid Pumps. Though anyone that knows me knows that no matter how cute an outfit I make, I find myself in a bikini.

Personally I just wish there were more universal glamours, like magey robes for Melee/tank classes, and light-chain mail type armors for mages. I also wish that the Summer Morning Swimsuit set was dye-able. Ultimately I do feel that we need more Non-cash shop options for glamours.

Given what you have said Serenia the lack in shoe variety is quite bad. Though with the way I tend to dress Freya the Leon heart shoes do work but again they don't really look like actual boots and I would like to see actual boots in the game as well. Also an option to go completely bare foot for those who want to should also be an option and not have it default to the sandals that are on the character without any shoes on at all.

I agree with you Sere, this game's lack of actuall high heels, or barefeet, is honestly... pretty weird, i mean seriously, SE should atleast update the female models so that we could wear high heels, or even barefeet, because it's quite simple, Rose said so in her post. Anyway, i do hope SE looks at this Thread and understands that it's just SMALL little nitty gritty everyday things we want, not actually a HUGE MAJOR patch thing. :)

The things in this list would be very welcome for male characters too, and there's already precedent for them even without bringing masculinity into it. High heels? Worn by men for fashion since at least the 16th century and also available in Eorzea. Stockings? They already made a model for male characters but only one item uses it and it's job-locked. Bare feet? Sign me up, I hate the brown sandals too! Dyeable swimsuits? Yes!

It's a good idea to ask for more practical clothing that isn't fetishwear, and I know the girls have it worse in that respect with all of the skin on display. But given that we're already lagging behind in glamour, please don't leave the guys out! I think there's a better chance of getting improvements if they benefit everyone. That's just my perspective.

Serilda those are all excellent points! :) By no means did I mean to leave out the guys but I play only female characters so I was talking from that aspect. All in all though I hope this thread reaches those with the power to do something! :) Also the final item on your wish list is greatly needed. It should give you a pop up asking if you want to put it in your glamour inventory or if you want it to go into your Armory.

I agree that there should be a more... 'sensible'... style of clothing instead of excessively revealing options. I've seen far too many 'Red Sonja' or 'Lady Death' glamors and while some may like that... guess I'm from a more practical viewpoint. Bikini armor... a picture can sum up my opinion :

Seriously though,
More variety is never a bad thing, Glamour IS the TRUE END GAME after all, so more is always better than less.
For my personal tastes though, Jing is a tomboy of the nth degree, so I would also love to see the gender lock removed on some gear. There are a few male Miqo'te pieces Jing would definitely wear over the female ones.

Then again, that might also lead to a lot of really big male Roe's running about in wedding dresses. Eh, to each their own. ^^

That may not be a bad thing after all I'm sure there are people who want to dress their male characters in female clothes :P

I would like more variety in non-foo-foo but feminine clothing for bard females. Bard clothing is either garish or plain ugly.

I can honestly say I have grown very tired of all the skimpy outfits I see people use for glamor and would really like to see a higher variety of selections when it comes to glamor clothes, maybe even some more simple clothes or more Formal attire.

I'm in complete agreement here, more feminine outfits selections would be very nice. While we're at it, I'd like to see more heroine outfits from various FF games too. Not just Lightning's and Yuna's. For example Rinoa's, Terra's

More feminine things would be nice. Really tired of panties though. Loli is already a nuisance enough on Adamantoise and it's kind of sad to see every MMO turn into a whorehouse. Seriously just go play PSO2 if you want panties. You get a bigger slider for your boobs and buns.

I agree with you, with panties, etc, i meant to avoid the whole *Loli* or sexualisation, in all honesty... it's just ENOUGH with the sexualised female clothing, like. yes, we get it Japan you like : SEX SELLS. but in all seriousness, females are more then just sex you know... and not every female likes to wear skanty, skimpy, slutty, or sexualised clothes. This thread has such a pleasant atmosphere, it's really nice to read.

I think the team would really benefit from having more female designers on board, or at least designers acquainted with that kind of viewpoint. The problem with male glamours being inferior (or not existing) is a similar issue at heart; they seem to struggle to design clothes that aren't intended to appeal to stereotypical 'gamers' sometimes which means lots of skin. I hope you all get more sensible alternatives to the 'sexy' outfits soon!

I'm kinda confused by this thread. FFXIV has the LEAST amount of hyper-sexualized clothing of almost every MMO on the market (and I've played most of them at least once), even with the select few sets existing in-game.

I can understand why you are confused, but in all honesty, this game whilest has *sexualised clothing* they are not AS bad as terra, queen's blade, BDO, etc. But whilest as much fun, panties, and slooty clothing are... i would LOVE if there was more variation of feminine, and non gender specific clothing. because right now, most of us Female players.. are having it the roughest. Yes you have those who likes the cleaveage showing, or the show of your entire body, then you have those who does not like it, then you have armor which leaves naught for your imagination. I honestly don't remember any other armor being deliberately skimpy than the level 44 armor and level 63 armor. So for that reason and because it suits my taste I'd actually like to see more of it. Heroes such as Sylvanas Windrunner, Jaina, Xena and Wonder Woman dress in a way I'd like to dress my character. Bikinis and such may seem to be everywhere but that doesn't mean there are too many skimpy glamour options in the game. People just decide to choose from the very few revealing options we have.

Male characters have it worse because their gear is usually made to look more conservative. They have very few options to show their whole chest for example. Like in the monk AF2 they get a pointless chestwrap when the top could have been just a tattooed upper body.

Although I'm not opposed to less revealing feminine armor and clothes, both casual and battlewear. Especially tank armors seem to be very jagged and hide all shapes of characters.
