no. there is no blizzard>blizzara combo

Probably because blizzara isn't casted on a specific target.

To be fair, radial-AoE can combo, if this doesn't combo it just wasn't designed to be used in a combo right now -- Maybe something for black mages.

They are meant for crowd control, not DD'ing.

So what? Every magic has a combo except that one, it should have a combo.

Sleeps and Cures don't combo.

there is nothing for sleep to combo into. (i miss sleepga) and I think cures should combo too, maybe combo effect enmity down or something.

The combo will be BLM exclusive. One of the BLM abilites is Blizzaga/Freeze iirc.

I don't want it to combo. Not everything needs to combo.

I like that blizzard and blizzara don't combo. They are for crowd control and debuffing mobs that aren't the main priority. When people see combos, they figure they have to do them everytime, and they don't. Some combos are done better with just the second weaponskill depending on the situation.

Now people want cure's to combo.. wtf.

The coming third ice spell is not a combo, too. It is a CC skill like the other ice spells. It reduce enmity.

Like people have said, it's meant for crowd control. And the next Ice spell coming with BLM is for enmity down.

"All the other spells have combos, this one should also have one" is a bad logic.

One of the reasons I hated Aion was because healers didnt get to use the Combo system either.
Going into a Cure combo woulda been fun.

Wouldn't it make more sense for Blizzaga to have a higher chance to CC if comobo'd though ?

I was under the impression this was the case anyway.

It would be cool if WHM had cure comobos to remove a negetive status effect. (perhaps more like a bonus effect)

why would u want to combo them? they are not DD just for debuff or run away from the mob, if u really want to combo them it would be just a waste of mp

In a party if i cast Fire > Fira > Firaga I will surely die.

If i could follow up with Blizzard > Blizaara i could at least bind the mobs in place and have a chance to survive.

Granted this may not work given that enemies die so fast.

I will counter your arguement:- Why would you not want more strategy in your gameplay ?

Blizzard could also combo with sleep to increase the chance of sleep sticking. (Dark seal may already do this I guess though)

If Blizzard>>Blizzara bind targets then I understand why they don't combo. It would make mages way too OP (more than what they are now)

First, Blizzara itself is instant-cast, making it useful for instant CC bind AoE.
Second, in a party bind wears off on hit so you'd still be getting thrashed thanks to fellow party members.
Finally, don't bother with Firaga.

I don't very often in all honesty.

But I do see a lot of people say dont' bother with Thundaga and Firaga, I don't even know why we have the spells if we don't bother with them /sigh

Your 2nd point brings up the other issue such as why bother with CC if mister MRD just breaks it, this has always been the cause with CC though.

I for one would love to be able to combo Blizzarra and maybe get an increased acc for the enfeeble. Even so bind does not last forever and it will wear off if someone attacks the mob, so I really don't see an issue with it being over powered, I think the issue is whiteknightseverythingisperfectdonttouchitsyndrom.

Give me a real reason that comboing blizzara is a bad idea.

How should a Blizzard > Blizzara combo help you in this situation
If the monsters are still away from you, use Blizzard to slow down their movement speed and go away from them.
If the monsters are already on you, ignore Blizzard and use Blizzara to bind every monsters directly near you and then go away from them.

The Bind effect already lands a LOT and lasts a good amount of time, especially when you invest in some Piety. Blizzard is when you know something is/will be coming for you and Blizzara is when there is stuff already on you or multiple enemies attacking the group on pull. You can run in and Blizzara, then run out. Needing to combo it for it to be any good like is required balance-wise for most combo moves would really hamper its utility as an emergency move.
