I think theyre VERY cute...!
I think theyre VERY cute...!
There's no way that could ever go badly, for any reason.
Definitely not.
Lolis are already bad enough. Oh sorry, I meant lalas.
I think they literally said they wouldn't allow this because of people with "bad intentions".
No, because Balmung.
/endthread
Ew.... No.
I think it's actually because it would raise the rating of the game in some areas with stricter rating standards regarding violence against children.
I mean, they COULD claim they are Lala/Miqo'te hybrids and really totally legal lol, but that might not quiiiite fly.
Considering I'm a fervent supporter of butt sliders I most definitely must decline the idea as it would defeat the purpose!...
I want 1.0 models back, I want Miqo'te to have the option to be taller as well (no shorter than Hyur Midlander), there's no reason why they should be so tiny!...
I don't want the game to be censored in any way due to improper depictions of children so NO!...
Oh god...no
Please...no...
Noooooooooooo....
No way, this must be a troll account.
I'm pretty sure to even be an adventurer there is probably some sort of age requirement. Won't sit right with Guildmasters or Grand Companies to be sending a child in to go slay dragons and imperials.
ravioli ravioli don't lewd the kitten lolis
As long as you're not allowed to create them on Balmung.
Thank you FFXIV community. The majority against this thread has rekindled my faith in humanity...
kinda.
No, as much as I like to the option to play as a child version of the current characters, SE has already said many times that this will not happen.

Never, hopefully.
Amuses me how some people shift the blame to Balmung as if other servers wouldn't have the same potential issues.
I doubt they would have the same issues, after what me and some of my friends saw only on Balmung and nowhere else. Meaning, public ERP in visceral detail.
I've spent a fair amount of time playing Korean MMOs where they seem to have at least one cute loli race as a rule so I wouldn't really care if SE changed their mind on letting us play as children.
As long as Balmung was banned from having them.
Just kidding, Balmung.
Or am I!?
I want to be child miqo'te with the option of having the size of roe weapon
Isnt that the point of Lalafels though? To be small and cute looking
As for child versions of each race in general, I'm categorically against it just because I know the ERP community would have a absolute field day with it, and from a story perspective it would raise some rather uncomfortable questions, especially given everything our character goes through.
Or just ask for miqote ears and tails accessories.
Play as lala. Problem solved.
The good thing about Lalafells, is that they are not sexualized like Elins in Tera, for example. Under this lame excuse "oh, but they are hundred of years old!".
But we really don't need *another* thread about this. This has been discussed already: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...is-a-thing-yet
I used to play on Balmung. Even a lot of the 'normal' role-players are obsessed with romance and ERP. It isn't always obvious but after spending a good few years on the server I ended up being driven away because it just became too much. The stereotypes surrounding Balmung exist for a reason. Are there exceptions? Sure - but I lost count of the amount of times I was shunned or ignored even by supposedly 'good' role-players because I declined romantic or erotic role-play.
Indeed, and it's why while I might have some grievances with the Lalafell design (especially some people who actively try to sexualise them) but the proportions are not exactly "human child", and thusly I can let it slide. I worry though about giving people acess to something like Miqo'te kids, as the design is much closer to human, and already tapping into one infamous fetish.
And agreed, this topic has been discussed before, plus I have my doubts op was even sincere, given their posting history. So there's not much else to add.
Pretty sure it's been said, but given the fact that we, as adventurers risk life and limb, have killed people, have nearly been killed, had to deal with death, loss, betrayal, getting drugged, getting kidnapped, framed for murder, have stolen things from Magitek armors to pants, and Lore wise, technically don't have a home. . .No. That's not the life for a "younger" anyone.
Why this is even a question baffles me, but let this topic be answered and be done and over with on the simple fact that the things we do shouldn't be done by someone younger, and would not be proper to depict a younger character doing. Plain and simple.
Listen, I'm not in the lobby for younger characters either, but considering the series' history, "this isn't a life for children" doesn't hold up to precedent. How old was Terra? Vivi? Eiko? Rydia? Hope? The Onion kids?
The OP doesn't want 'children', they specifically want young catgirls. Their suspicious predilections are showing.
XIV is dark enough at times, and even if you completely omit the "Online interactions" bit, it's still hardly a life for a child, let alone someone younger. Yes, many past heroes have been young, and there's tons of stories with protagonists who are younger than what'd be reasonable of their ability. But then again, some scenes just wouldn't work purely because of being a child. Remember getting your drink spiked in 3.2? Zenos stomping you out in the Reach? How about all the random NPCs that make not-so-subtle sexual overtures toward you?
At a certain point, something would have to give. I'll take a compelling and sometimes dark/grey story with an adult over the "freedom" of being a child, and all the restrictions that would have to apply as a result.
Pss, current Miqo'te looks like 18 years old or so. More young than that?
Bad troll is bad. Atleast your thread about telling red mages to heal while healers dps had some fun moments.
