How to report unauthorized access of account?

I just woke up and saw that a lot of the comments I made here have been changed. I searched on the support center, but the only thing that I saw posted there was to change my password. Where do I need to go to report unauthorized access on my account? Or is this one of those 'too bad, should've had a better password' things? If I'm posting in wrong thread, sorry.

Someone's got to be a special kind of loser to hack a forum account of all things.

My condolences. And unfortunately, I doubt forum staff is going to be able to do anything beyond possibly banning the IP that was used to intrude into your account (and won't even tell us about it), which would most likely be done through a proxy unless the hacker was a blind idiot. I'd be more concerned if they used it to gain access to your in-game stuff for real.

Yeah...I'm looking into what might have been touched right now. I knew I ruffled some feathers, but wow...seriously?

I don't think customer/tech support can offer any service unless you lost access to your account and this is one of the reasons SE provides access to a free software token via android or iOS or physical key chain token which you can purchase from your account page on the mogstation for 10.99 to provide an additional layer of security to all your logins for SE account.

I am probably going to have to look into that. Already changed my password, but it shouldn't have been able to have been hacked in the first place.

I saw this and was trying to figure out a way to report it from that thread but all I could think of was reporting your comments which seemed like it might do more harm than good.

I'm just going to get off the radar for a bit and monitor everything. This apparently went further than just my forum account.

You should be asking yourself how they got your username. If it's not someone you live with I'd be scanning your PC and see if support can change your username too.

Uh, that's an easy one?
Most people will use the same username for all, or most, of their accounts. Same goes for the password.
I would try KaivaC with multiple variations. Did I meet you in a social network? I would try your username there. Are you on discord? I would try that.

Or better yet, if you use the same email/username and password combination in other sites, it was most probably obtained and disclosed by a hacker from sites with poor security. You'd be surprised.

I'd be very surprised if those types of 'hackers' would edit forum posts. This feels more like a prank by someone the OP allows access to the PC or account.

I'm not saying the hackers that get these credentials list use them. They publish them, you can try and find it.
And yes, probably someone close to the OP did it.

You asked how they got her username, I simply stated how easy that was.

Yeah, that would be quite a few people. I'll figure it out and deal with it.

It not just forum account, its same login for the game
