50/60 Roulette has become the roulette I skip now along with guildhests and main scenario unless I'm really bored. I figure they would add something more to it considering there's somewhere around 30+ dungeons between the 50 and 60 dungeons.
It's really based on what level you are. You get more experience the bigger the difference between you and the dungeon level in this case 50. I typically get 800 to 900k with my rdm at 68.
I usually skip that Roulette as the reward isn't worth the wait as DPS anyway, I'd rather queue the highest Dungeon I can enter and get the next level as fast as possible.
If they add more Allagan reward such as Poetics then it would be worth doing, but for the low experience reward it sure isn't.
I've been using it to try to farm tomestones, mostly. It's either that or deal with high odds of winding up at Praetorium for the main scenario roulette, given that I haven't unlocked too many other 8-man dungeons yet. Experience seems to be okay to me, at least.
50/60 roulette was never worth doing, just something to do for level 60-61 if board.
Meh. I do it for a variety of reasons.
I'm still leveling Desynth so any loot from there helps me in that department (I'm such a slacker =P)
The occasional WT entry when I'm burned out of retries from spamming primals.
XP is minor but considering the above, it's just killing 2 birds (or more) in one stone for me.
Glamour because some of the gear in them looks nicer than other currently available options.
How much EXP you get from doing leveling and now raid. The 50/60 are out of sync with time spent.
They don't have any real reason to be done any more. You used to do them for ARR and HW relics, either as a quest or for the seals they gave, but now you need neither. Verity tomes are useless now, and poetics are easy to get. That made the roulette have no real value save for exp, and it's pretty bad given the time you wait.
I expect the next relic shockingly will have us farm tomes or run dungeons when they realize this.
It would be nice if they buff up the exp given in 50/60 and Main scenario because up to level 65/66 POSTS gives more by doing one floor. 580k
They could add +1 Second Chance to Daily Level 50/60, I'd feel more inclined to do them then, the opportunity to have +7 extra chances a week isn't a bad deal for those trying to get 2-3 WT lines.
I just got 1.4 million experience bonus not counting all the experience associated with killing minions in the dungeon. My alts RDM is 69 however so that does yield a decent bonus.
I still do them on my non-main jobs to level up. They are great for one reason: you don't need to worry about gear. They lock you to the 50/60 level where Ironworks and Shire gear takes care of all the gearing needs.
In fact, my RDM got from 50 to 70 mostly through these roulettes while questing (and my WHM took the quest EXP). Whem my RDM dinged 70, I was still finishing off the level 60 Heavensward quests. So my RDM had only ever worn Ironworks, then Shire gear, then the level 70 job gear and now finally Verity gear.
Note that I only did them once a day, to always have the daily bonus. I wouldn't bother doing them without the boosted EXP gain that came with the once-a-day roulette bonus.
I don't ever grind exp. Being max level and stats is very low on my priority list. The exp I get is something I get in addition while striving towards another goal, so if you find me in 50/60 roulette, I am there for another reason. I'm not in SB, so I am capped at 60 atm, and right now I do the daily 50/60 roulette for tomes to gear up other jobs, and also gear to either desynth or glam, and the crafting mats in those dungeons are VERY valuable to me.
If I was in SB getting to the level 70 cap, this exp would come from the MSQ, instances involved, and beast tribes. I can't fathom a reason why I would go back to ARR/HW roulettes to level when my abilities and stats are reduced to those levels. If I was to grind exp, I would spam the highest dungeon I can do as I would want the biggest bang for my buck.
