Long Shot: Looking for any old White Knight Chronicle players...

Hey All,

I saw another topic for someone looking for old friends and stuff, and I thought back to the good old days of White Knight Chronicles. As the OP put it, it IS a "long shot", but are there any players here who used to play WKC? Specifically that were in the guild "Apocalypse" I was the leader. We were all so knitted closely and tight "most of us" then the stupid servers shut down...(Fun fact: still have yet to purchase anymore games from Level-5, maybe if DC3 were to ever come out), but it would be cool to meet back up with any of you. I won't ask to rebuild Apocalypse, but to maybe light the candle of friendship once more.

Played it (kept my PS3 when I upgraded so I could replay it whenever) thou I wasn't in the Guild u mentioned, I doubt we ever ever crossed paths anyway but my Avi there was using the same name as the one I use now (Ritza Solair, my head cannon is she is the same avi just when she tried to enter Geonet, after servers were gone, she ended up in Eorzea, named my 1st retainer Yulie just cause)

Played Wkc, was in NOMAD. I'm the only one on Cactuar though, most of the rest moved to Phoenix.
Was a very sad day when the servers got shot down.

Played WKC2 as well.
Wasn't in a guild tho.

Used to run a lot of Vellgander with friends and aquintances / dragging randoms through it.

Oh wow, didn't think anyone else remembered WKC. I played way back when. Started as one of the Evangelines (I was "Vangie", the not mean one, lol), was in the never-quite-official Maidens of Death guild.

Played WKC on ps3 I think? But by the time I got it the online part was taken down already, I think.

Played both of them. I was the ILLUMINATIS french general :3

I met few players of WKC in Ragnarok when FFXIV started

I played it, but sadly couldn't do the online stuff until after it got taken down...

In WKC2 they made guilds official :)

That's too bad :( the game was okay, but really shined online.

Oh gosh yes, lol...farmed him in part one. Part two came out GR expanded and so did level cap with a new BR at a higher lever, had to farm again lol.

I played both, joining WKC1 near the end but enough to get my beloved Queen’s Set. Then I was there for WKC2 from the very beginning to the night they took the servers down. It was my first MMO and I have never loved any video game like I loved that one, except maybe Xenosaga 1&3, but they aren’t really comparable. I recall how beautiful Faria was and how much I adored Caesar & Kara. I had a huge georama filled with their version of cherry blossom trees.

I met some good friends there, some of whom stayed in our guild when we made the transition to FFXIV ARR. Our guild was the NekomimisFTW in WKC just as it is here. I was Hinagiku there as well, but a taller, tan, bustier version of my little Miquote self. :p. I loved that game, man..I still love it. I was just thinking about it night before last and considered firing up the PS3 to play through the game on the disc. I know it would just make me even more nostalgic for the online part that was kind of yanked out from under us. But still, it might be fun to revisit some good memories. Go back and play where my mage could heal and do massive damage, where playing with the elements actually meant something (use fire on ice creature, etc.). It would probably just make me see the things I miss most and wish were different in the game. My poor gamer girl’s heart has a hard time with the loss of her first love and doesn’t want to accept that other games like FFXIV are not going to be the same, no matter how badly a person can wish. At the end of the day, logic takes over and I go back to playing the wonderful game and awesome guild mates that I do have now.

Thanks for bringing back warm, wonderful memories of a very special time and a beloved game. WKC rocks!

Or the 0.000001% drop chance Flemron farm? XD
Or the fact that I used to carry around 5 sets of swords, one for each element.
How you could reset your character's progress and completely respec?
The time I sat there and tried to max out my town's stats.

I loved that game, a lot of fond memories :)

don't remind me ugh the hrs, nay days spend grinding 1 mob, I swear that damn thing was thinking it was stuck in one of those "dream within a dream" senarios with how relentles I had to farm it for just 1 drop (the whole wake up to a intruder-> go to kill them-> fail & die-> suddenly wake up apon death to the sounds of intruders 'repeat indefinetly')

the drop was totally worth it thou... granted it wouldn't have got "shell shock" if it just gave me the mat on the 1st run

Omg dont remind me with those elementals. That is was worst rng i ever had in my life.

The rebirth was fun even tho it was hours kill polkins >_> :P
And the geo. MAAANNN i miss those so much. I loved to see the creative side from everyone that did it

Speaking of polkins remember their king?

Remember running that one dungeon over and over it was like a genie or something with lots of adds you would kill him and repeat over and over to get reincarnation stats wayyyyy up. And Eldor's lines "going to leave an old man in the dust!?" "going to let the old man do all the work?!" "aye, I can cast the ol' spell or two" lol...control him and hit combos with his staff and hear the hollow stick sound over and over.

I played both games, they were pretty cool.

Played both, was not in any kind of guild. Honestly preferred WKC to WKC2, I liked the changes to the combat engine that Level-5 made when making the International version of WKC, and did not like their reversion for WKC2.

Disliked the reversion for WKC2 enough that I really did not do much in it after seeing the new area that you start off in.

HR 28 over here missing my guild and old friends. My biggest regret was never friending them on ps3 :/ That game was my bread and butter back then like 14 is now.

I played both wkc and wkc2. Loved all the cross-over dlc like the PS mascot toro cat quests. It's a shame they stopped putting out the new dlc in NA while JP kept going. Great armor design and some of the most hardcore grinding I've ever done. If I have to do big red 3 again I'm gonna lose it. Above average game and the closest we got to a Dark Cloud 3 sadly.
