Grouppose allowed /doze in bed?

Ago I got room in Shirogane's apartment.

I wanted make nice photo him in sleep bed. But, /Grouppose don't let me...

Since SE locked players use "nasty" thing in 4.1. patch?

hmm, you used to be able to. I have a lovely screenshot with /doze. But you are right, it wont let you now.

Perhaps it is a bug?

We had this whole discussion years ago, when players were upset that we couldn't /doze on beds in the world and could only use it in private homes. Their wording was "the team has decided against the use of this emote in other places to prevent the taking of not especially appropriate screenshots." Here's a link to the post:

Disliked it then, and still dislike it now if it's intentional. Would also prefer to see changes like this documented if they're intended, so I'll hold out hope and file a bug report.

I had this happen to me last night also!
Was wondering if I had missed something in the patch notes saying it could no longer be used with /doze but saw nothing. I'm hoping this is just bug. No reason for them to take /gpose away when your using /doze -.-

Happening for me as well.

Nothing in patch notes about it, must be an overlooked bug or they ninja blocked it to prevent so called naughty interactions, which doesn't make sense seeing how gpose is a screenshot tool.

I submitted the bug report a few hours ago and it got moved to "Accepted Bugs," so hopefully we'll see a fix soon!

Awwww whaat!? This needs to be fixed. gpose should be able to be used while doze'd and I believe doze should be able to be used anywhere. What if I want to, for example, sleep on the beach in Costa? I shouldn't have to go to Shirogane to bury myself in a literal mountain of sand. It's not just for

So, I tried using /gpose while dozing on my personal house's bed this morning after the patch and it worked. I tried it just now on the beach in Shirogane and nothing again. For good measure I went back to my house and tried it again, and it worked. I exited gpose, tried it again, and it didn't work. Double checking again, I returned to Shirogane to the same spot from before and gave it another go. It worked! But then didn't.

So, here's what's happening. If you type /gpose the moment you /doze it will work, but if your character has fully situated into the /doze emote the command will no longer work.

I came back to see what had happened to my bug report and noticed as you said it had been moved to duplicate. I checked every other bug sub-forum and didn't see anything similar, and as of this posting there are no bugs at all in the in-game bugs forum. So, I'm at a loss.

I think I'll just remake a new bug report with the information I found today and hope for the best.

Edit: Submitted the new post to the bug forum. I hope I'm not annoying them. >_> In the meantime as long as you type /gpose instantly as your character is laying down you can do it, but you won't be able to use your /cpose dozes until it's fixed. I tried setting /doze to action button 1, and /cpose to action button 2, and having /gpose pre-typed in chat, and even going as fast as I could the /gpose was still disabled the moment I used /cpose.

Awwww. I liked using /gpose with /doze. It was a great way of showing your character thinking or chatting with another character. I had planned on using it often in my upcoming Kacho Nacho, the comic series reboot. Let us hope it is a bug and not an intended feature.:(

Please atleast try to contribute to the thread, instead of just making a vague personal attack on the people who want this function back or atleast want a official statement for why it's suddenly gone.

Still not working, I've checked. But it does work for other people in the party not in /doze

If you think this thread is about ERPing, you've both clearly missed the point. The thread is about us suddenly losing the ability to do something we were able to do before the patch. Being able to use /gpose while /doze-ing makes for some wonderful screenshots. We'd like to have that ability back.

Maybe you and others missed the point as to why you lost the ability to do that gpose? It might have been because of ERPing or other distasteful things. SE loves to keep data on the statistics of their playerbase and I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of them. I'm sorry you don't like that answer but no one else brought up a possible reasoning other than "suddenly lost the ability." I could be wrong but it's a possibility.

I don't care what other people used the emote for, I didn't use it like that and I should not be punished for it, THAT is the point.

I don't get why they'd put it in Duplicate instead of "working as intended."

They're pretty meticulous about these things, so my assumption is because this isn't working as intended. My guess is either they had an internal report on this already, or maybe even that this thread is the original bug report so my official bug report was unnecessary. As I detailed in my last post you can still use it, but the period of time in which you can is quite short. Here's some proof:

If you wait longer than maybe a second to type /gpose though it no longer functions. So the ability to use it isn't removed, just not working correctly. Hopefully the next round of hotfixes will solve it!

I managed to get /doze + /cpose + /gpose functionality back by using macros.

Macro: Group pose with character in standard /doze pose:
(Use from a standing position.)

Code:

/gpose

Macro: Group pose with character in alternate /doze pose:
(Use multiple times from a standing position to cycle through the alternate poses. Exit group pose and return to a standing position before using the macro again.)

/cpose
/gpose

The timing may be tight enough that it might not work for some people, but it's working fine for me.

The way the thread had been going I was wondering if everyone was ignoring that bit about it still kinda working, but I'm glad to see that isn't the case. I'd been wondering if a macro would circumvent it but didn't feel like messing with it more, so thank you for putting in the time to check and report back! I'll just use this fix until they address the bug.

It was a bug but it looks like it's been fixed. Logging in and testing.
