There are some minor issues I have (like, please look at DRK, SE), but otherwise, very pleased with how this expansion is turning out, 4.1 included. It's been a great way to stave off my flaring depression, so a very big thank you to SE and my free company for helping me deal with it.
Really liking 4.1 so far!

I like it so far as well. Lots of great changes even though there is some glaring oversight (DRK, the housing crisis).

Whats wrong with DRK? I mean, its not as tough as PLD, I've died to a few pulls which would have easily been possible as PLD but only because I lacked Hallowed Ground, but DRK is very offensively viable. When is the last time you saw a 10k crit on a tanking class?

10-12-2017, 02:12 AMKalinOrthosWell, to be fair, Warrior's Fell Cleave hits harder and more often. My biggest gripe is that, right now, DRK lacks defensive options, especially before 70. You'll notice that you tend to see a lot more hypersquish DRKs than PLD or WAR. A bad tank os a bad tank no matter who they play, but it feels like DRK has a much harder time mitigating. Not THAT much of an issue in the current content, but eh.Quote:

Perhaps so. DRK has a kind of flow to it and without all those tools, it doesnt work as well. Blood price to give MP and black blood, flowing into DA-Abyssal drains vs groups, transitioning into quietus to restore MP, and TBN to shield and give more black blood back, turning into more abyssal drains. DRK's life drain is so strong that it might as well be another defensive CD

10-12-2017, 02:53 AMKalinOrthosI'm not so petty. At the beginning of the expansions, warriors were in a dark spot, so I'm glad they got buffed. I just don't like playing them as much as I like playing DRK. Which is why I bring up the defensive options issue: WAR and PLD have a lot of things in their kit to help mitigate, and DRK has maybe half of their options. I would love for them to change Blood Price to become a more defensive option while Grit is on as opposed to just a way to add more Blood to dump into damage.Quote:

The simplified job gauges are a nice touch. I'm also planning on starting the earlier lv. 50/60 raids soon, so hopefully the raid roulette makes it easier for me to join in on those. I'm just about to reach the end of 3.0 in the story, so I have a while before I can check out a lot of the newer content though.
