So if your healer dies and you're a non-summoner/redmage, and you don't happen to have a phoenix down, they just stay dead and you have to suicide to get them up.
Great design. Fix please?

My party in last part of dungeon was

does anybody else return without the healer? if not it sounds like that's how it was designed. don't let your healer die.
suicide? sounds like a wipe to me. they happen even with player groups. when you wipe you start over at the beginning? or do you just have to walk up to where you died? in the game only the players are immortal...at least if you go by the story.
You're missing the point.
The situation was, the tank did not keep aggro off of the NPC healer-the healer died, we killed the mob anyway. Healer did not return no matter how long I waited, I had to pull the next boss and wait 5 minutes for it's pitiful damage output to kill me in order to get the healer back.
Come on chap, this isn't hard to understand.
I get what you are saying, I just don't think it's a bug. But if the boss took that long to kill you why didn't you kill him and move on? Seems silly.
Also the party wipes immediatelly when I die, why healer can't rez me to continue the fight?
From what I've tested.Tank can't keep aggro at all...
As sson as I clicked ENGAGE,Brd and Healer stormed the adds like crazy, don't give tank any time to flash ....
Its far worse at wanderer's palace last boss....
Tonberrys are everywhere,Tank ran everywhere trying to get aggro from every tonberrys ...
At least no one dead though.
no. i'm not trolling. somebody not agreeing with you isn't automatically trolling.
Sounds like you had an Edda for a healer. Kidding ~! hope it gets fixed in the future!
From what I saw on Reddit, you can revive them with an item bought with GC Seals.
yeah. that's kind of what i figured, they added the high quality tonic to the GC shop. so, it sounds like they expect these to go like old school dungeons where you have to drag around raise and healing potions. looks like the raise potions, like the phoenix down, can't be used in combat, hence the healing potions for back up.
Personally, got a tonic after running my first mission, so probably also nudging players towards them that way, too.
You aren't disagreeing, you just aren't making sense, asking questions with painfully obvious answers, and don't seem to understand the point of the topic. All signs of trying to confuse people or make people irritated at you-you know, trolling. (Also of note-I never said this was a bug, it's an oversight, one that should be fixed, hence why I made the topic. Not sure where you got that I thought it was bug.)
Regardless though, if you honestly think having the NPC just lay there and never return, forcing you to suicide so everyone returns to the start of the dungeon, is good design, then you just don't get how game design works or the intention behind making this feature in the first place.
I used a phoenix dawn on my dead healer and it worked.
