Patch 4.1 Notes (Full Release)

Frustrated that there are no actual details on the light farm nerf. Otherwise, lots of good QoL stuff in the patch and a bunch of new emotes/facial expressions that I'm far too excited for. Cool beans.

I love how the "Full Release" notes don't include a listing of the actual new items/furniture we're getting...

Probably too many to list efficiently.

The prism market wont be missed. Dont have to deal with overpriced prisms in large stacks taking up most of the list made by clearly douchey people.

RIP crafters

So uh.... where is the pictures of the 24 man gear. I've gone back through previous patch notes and we've always been shown the 24 man gear before. I'm not sure if I should be excited or afraid of what it will look like.

Can someone explain that part to me? Didn't realize that was a thing.

Also in response to the 24 man question, someone elsewhere had pointed out that apparently the gear can potentially be spoilers for the 24 man so they intentionally left it out.

Means Excogitation will crit now.

So it will probably be fan service gear most likely... so it really will be either really good or utterly horrifying.

As for the Excog I didn't know that was a thing either. Then again I abandoned SCH a while back along with SMN cause... yeah obvious reasons.

Also I don't see any notes on allied seals. Are they not being merged then?

So...what happens to my squadron members who are already level 50, but my corresponding jobs are not above 50?

Will their level be decreased? This means I need to increase my own jobs to get squadron members beyond 50?
Considering I have no tank at a level this high, this kind of sucks.

I think it is omitted so that it is a surprise in game (I'd say spoiler but that would be a stretch). I heard somewhere that the tank gear was seen somewhere in the live letter gameplay and that it is Ramzas outfit

It says highest job, not highest corresponding job. If you have one job at 60 then you are good for everything.

I don't believe it's job specific. You have ninja at 70 so since you have a DoW/DoM at 70 all your members should be fine.

If your highest level job was 54 then none of your members could attain level 55.

I will still buy all your prisms 'cause I need my seals for anima weapons <3
Wonder about the light nerf. Hopefully there is another efficient way to farm light. All those 2 Minute runs in Alex :D

I'm glad about the patch =) Have fun in Shirogane, maybe I will buy an apartment there. Oh, and I will have new moggear later. Thanks for those changes to veteran rewards.

Right? I was looking forward to seeing exactly which new furnishings, cards and music rolls were being added. :(

I'm pretty let down there's no changes listed to allied seals here, I was really hoping the hunt bill master stuff would be all moved to GC shop, or at least merge centurio and allied seals, please SE :( Farming up allied seals sucks!

Yeah I am just rather apprehensive with it. So far 24 man gear has been a hit or miss really. Some of the gear such as the Yafaemi gear looking really nice, while others... well not so much. Fan service gear imo only serves to make that hit or miss factor even larger.

Glamour unlocking at lvl 15 now. As someone new to the game, I can say that that would have made me incredibly happy. I'm not sure what it's like for DoW folks, but I found that the best gear from levels 30 to 50 was a hooded robe, which I affectionately called my "bath robe." It would have been so nice to have unlocked glamour at 15 because that slog through to 50 being unable to like what your character looks like was almost depressing. My sister's playing, albeit slowly as she has other games she wishes to finish first, as a conjurer and she wasn't looking forward to the robe either.

Hell, I could probably buy furniture or Orchestrion Rolls from NPCs or make stuff that's below level 30 and make some quick Gil.

I'm really sad they didn't show any other new furniture (assuming we're getting other pieces.. we freaking better be.><). Full patch notes my butt. -_-

On my server at least only furniture that actually requires skilled crafting or specific mats is priced high. If anything sold by a vendor is priced high then it's as good as ignored.

How come they didn't showcase the 24-man raid gear?

lol they where never overpriced, was hardly worth the time, unless you afk craft its decent i suppose. I am happy, ends the debate of "should i make this or buy them off the MB because I have little room" while questioning if dealing all that is worth my time compared to what is available when I just happen to run out.

Always did buy those 1.4 ish or so each in 99 stacks though, saved a lot of time and effort. The ticket price is a bit high compared to gains of other things, but we will see what the prism market does, with my saved space on ventures.

Sorry but 18k for a stack of 5-7 prisms is vastly overpriced even more so since its not resource intensive to make. Spending 80k just to glamour a couple things due to people only selling multi stacks for 30 rows was just dumb

It is too cheap, i would not make 7 prisms to sell for 18k, not only is it not worth the mat cost that goes into it, it is not worth my time doing it, I make more gil then that doing other things. The only ones that are reasonable to do sometimes is GSM ones, all others I buy myself because it is not worth the mat cost + the time I put into crafting them.

Ideally they should cost at worst 500 per prism each due to the materials easy access. Though with this patch 500 per prism seems like it would be their new price if not lower.

lol you do not understand cost of time do you? crafters are not here to serve you, we are here to make money, not sell things cheaper then mats put into them. 500-2k each is not worth the material cost and time to do them. You are lucky someone finds that worth it, but then again people undercut spam without thinking so who knows.

There is not enough gil sinks in this game, shocked people complain over such a petty cost, a cost that does not even reflect the effort put into it.

Considering Im the type of person to farm 1998 materials for items that are selling far too high because people are too lazy to farm low level items I dunno man.

Either way the prism market is dead so the ye olde cost of time to make them is out the window.

Rip easy glam prism money. Ahh well guess I need to actually do some effort to make some cash.

The mats for most Prisms only cost a few hundred gil total and can be bought from vendors(or obtained cheaply on the MB). Time? It takes a couple minutes to buy the mats and one thwack to make a prism as a lv60 crafter in the lv58 vendor gear.

if you think it is so easy why went you doing them? If you find them too high of a cost, surely then it is worth you crafting them and farming them, for me it never was, as said I am glad for this change because it allows me to actually buy something with the useless seals.

if you say so, was never worth it for me doing them. Then again I find it odd the people complaining they cost too much don't craft, I wonder why that is...

I’ve always thought prisms were overpriced. I’ve been making my own for over a year though, if I ever made too many I’d throw em on the MB for 100 gill or so. To help other players out. Some people take this profit margin thing way too seriously.
