So I haven't seen this posted anywhere else and so I decided to start a thread about as I feel this topic deserves it's own discussion thread.
Namely, why did they suddenly change the pricing on the shirogane housing to be more expensive? Specifically they mention the different classification of plots which I'm going to assume is plot 30 as it's the most expensive, suddenly it's been changed from 45mil to 50mil without any real notification for the players outside of the ones that actually read the patch notes in detail about the housing being made available. It's completely possible individuals will have the gil amount that, I will remind you, is said to be required in the game, but unless they specifically read the patch notes there is no way for them to know for sure.
I also went back and checked the original 4.0 patch notes to see if there was any word about the prices being changed or any statement being made anywhere to that effect and I have found nothing. While I doubt they will revert the prices to what it currently says in game (which frankly is the right thing to do if we're being honest here) but some sort of disclaimer would have been nice. My FC still has the gil needed, that is a non-issue, but I feel as though some sort of warning or more visible announcement should have been made prior to this change being made. Currently I believe this will blindside a lot of players that believed they have enough gil only for it suddenly to be changed without them being able to prepare ahead of time to get the amount of gil that they might need to get the already limited housing.

Prices haven't changed on my server yet. Plot 30 is still 45 million since you mentioned that one. I see it in the notes but perhaps that's an error.

There is no guarenteeing that when we get to buy the plot that it will be the same price as we are seeing it now / or in patch notes. The plots of currently available areas seem to go up and down depending on demand / in-world economy.
I'm just saving what gil I can in the hopes of getting some sort of plot. All of the ones in Kugane are near something of interest be it the vendors or the beach or the 'secret' cave bit. -

oh? On the ones in Louisoix there was a timer that decreases the price every so often. If it was doing the same on other servers theyd be at 0 by now.

You wont see them ever reach the minimum value as they get bought shortly after releasing as there isn't currently enough for everyone who wants one. And Shirogane Plot 30 is a grade 3 hence the 45m price tag. -

I just assumed the current listed prices in game were just ballpark numbers. The real price has always been what they had in the notes.

No these are simply the prices for all grades of houses and Shirogane simply does not have the highest one thus you will not see the price of 50m in the district. So dont worry OP the highest amount is still 45m. :)

50M in patch notes refers to grade 1 plot. Plot 3 in Shirogane is not a grade 1 plot.
