Finally the Job Gauge can be simplified so it's not so ostentatious anymore (Shield Oath/Sword Oath's gauge just seemed so out of place in the interface), so thank you SE for this. :)
This whole use Squadron bots instead of actual players ranks as one of the worst decisions made in an mmo. I stress mmo, this is not one of those isolationist single player survival or shoot-em-up efforts - but this kind of thing is moving it in that direction.
It's bad enough that many of your fellow group players seem to regard even the basic communications of 'hi' and 'thank you' as some kind of penance to be avoided at all costs.
Now we have taken the next step down this self only interaction, with this you and your bots non-mmo grouping.
If they see this as a solution to long queue times for certain classes - it might very well be. But at what cost to the traditional overall mmo culture - which this game used to pride itself in? There are far better ways to handle the queue situation than guiding players to be an isolationist bot controller.

Im not really playing right now and (still burned out..SB was boring for me) I dont think this is a good enough reason to return, but this is a good QoL patch imo. If they had added instances up to level 70 for the squadrons features, id probably level some other classes with that.. these are just preliminary though. Maybe something good will show up in the final notes.

Oh boo hoo Squadrons can be used in a total of FIVE dungeons, cmon now... Five OLD dungeons that require your Squadron to even be at the same level or higher, a new player would never get this started before they actually run the dungeons themselves. Please stop making a huge fuss over nothing.

Would like to know why the weeky sure reward for doing the 24 man is 1 cracked cluster, there's plenty non weekly way to get those that just 1 cluster seems stupid to me
And you don't think this will be added to? That this is the initial introduction? Of course they where going to introduce this with a limited number. That's how introductions work.
Then - when 'I only want me online' players say it's a great idea in an mmo - this hermit style of playing gets expanded.
This is an mmo - it's meant to be played with your fellow players - not some automated bunch of npc bots.
As I said, they may well see this as their answer to this.
But there are far better ways to handle this - see the post on dps queues for some good suggestions from the player base.
This cannot be a benefit to an mmorpg which should be introducing changes to promote more interactivity, not openly encouraging people in a direction away from this.
Are you just here to moan over meaningless stuff? Be GRATEFUL that at least we are getting extra content. Plus you don't have to do it if you don't want to or like it. What's the problem behind it or in theory you just moaning for the sake of moaning? Please get over yourself and be happy.

Going to miss Deorbit in Frontlines. Now a lot of poor little melee DPS need to actually look at their surroundings and notice things every once in a while. RIP.
The number of dungeons you can do with your Squadron will undoubtedly increase later on.
But signing up for specific dungeons will not give you the daily bonus you get for roulettes - so people will most likely keep running roulettes just as much (or little) as they have done in the past.
Don't forget that HW 24Ms gave out Mhachi Matter weekly to trade for materia. There may be more sources of Cracked Clusters in SB but it's the same idea.
Now, if they could let us trade Cracked Clusters for multple T5 materia that would be most welcome.
So much QoL though.

Everything about this complaint was made redundant ages ago when they added unsynced mode for old content. Anyone can run those dungeons unsynced already. We're losing nothing, it's just reusing old roulette fodder content that almost nobody voluntarily plays after their first few weeks of the game anyway. I haven't set foot in the DF queue for Brayflox in years. I probably never will again; if a friend needs it we'll queue with my FC.
I agree that soloing all current content would be a massive waste but giving people more to do outside of prime time or the current popular activities is a good thing for the game. I sometimes log on, queue for Frontline and wait around doing nothing until bedtime (it almost never pops at night). I'm not going to queue Brayflox with three strangers in that time anyway because there is no reason to do so, so I may as well have some interesting stuff to mess around with next to my squad of attractive NPC Elezen women if I feel like leaving the queue.
I'll be more specific:
The ways to get materias VI are very abundant between dungeon drops, spiritbonding, tanking or healing levelling roulette, going for S/A ranks and daily hunts and most importantly they are not as limited
The weekly reward for clearing rabanastre gives you 1 cluster/week in comparison you can get 3 and half from just daily hunts in a week (granted you won't get tomes for the upgrade item but you can get one from rabanastre anyway)
My problem is that only 1 cluster for a weekly is to few when other sources as said are much more generous on that
They added Clusters to Leveling Roulette to get more tanks running Leveling Roulette. This way it continues to keep it relevant, while still giving rewards in the 24-man. I don't understand the issue here? You're peeved at getting extra rewards? You think you deserve more rewards? You get a 330 > 340 upgrade for doing AFK content. . .
In this patch you're also suppose to be able to trade centurio seals for books, which can be traded for creation upgrade items (Similar to most other patches of this nature). That takes away a source of Materia VI for DPS.
(I don't remember seeing this in the patch notes, but that's not unusual. Anything which effects in-game currencies are normally omitted until the full patch notes.)
im really hyped for this and i dont see much problem at all oAo it's up to their playstyle if they want to play solo or not..

ofc MMO = online game...but are you saying that people who want solo shouldnt play it?
some play for story and some play because they're bored and need something to occupy.
also it will be a good change of pace when you dont want social and just want to be alone at the time.
i do have FC mates and friends to run contents with but sometime i want to run alone and DF is just like "hi" "tyfp" anyway

Squadrons will probably be better than most pug groups. Tanks that can hold agro, and heals that dps.
Glamouring them is now the ultimate end game too.
Yes becuase MMOs mean you should be forced to team with other players for every moment of your game experience, especially since this game does that for most of the MSQ- oh wait most of it is solo instances..
On another note I'm liking the class buffs and QoL changes.
