Just posted on reddit and thought I'd share here. Some general standouts

• The alliance raid roulette will not include the Ivalice raid.
• The reason they decided to implement "Ultimate" is because the average player skills of those longtime players have increased and players have had less of an opportunity to go through the "dancing experience"
• With the "Team registration system" they are adding in the future, they are considering implementing a rule where your ratings decline after not playing for a certain amount of time. (Feast)
• The future expert roulettes will consist of 4 dungeons and one of the four dungeons will be chosen randomly (note: this does not mean they are adding 4 dungeons each patch).
• The rewards for the alliance raid roulette will be exp, gil, allagan tomestones and 2 mhachi matters which you can trade for grade V materia (note: not VI).
• 4.1 will not have any crafting recipes that are harder to create than the ones added in 4.0.

Is there incentive to do this for 2 tierV materia for those who don't need gil/exp/tomestone? In my opinion, it should have been tierVI, lol.

What the... a koala minion? Now I'm intrigued as to the lore behind that one! :D

Still wondering if Garo is going to end anytime soon.
Kind of expected the 4.1 patch, but they haven't said anything. Hopefully they do plan to announce the end date before it hits rather than just pulling it unceremoniously. If it doesn't get pulled in 4.1, that'll give me a bit more breathing room to hit 60 on the rest of my classes.

Not immensely concerned with them, but kind of wonder where the mounts come from. Both Uznair? Figure the Kojin one is going to be the lame Manta.
Minions are probably Skalla/Uznair I guess?

I'm actually not sure if I agree or disagree with that idea, heh, since Tier 6 is rather easy to attain already through things like Hunts, and even moreso the Adventurer in Need, atleast provided you are/can play a Tank class (or Healer once in a blue moon lol), just to name some examples.

But the Stormblood MSQ also showers you in Tier 5 so..... ^^" (and that's not mentioning Tier 6 is effectively impossible to atleast overmeld, so players need Tier 5 more then 6)


As for the topic at hand. Not much for having Minions out, but that shiba inu is tempting me so bad in ways the fox could just dream of XD

I'd love the new minions, and the flying Korpokkur, I'm assuming as well that they're probably all from Skalla/Uznair (maybe apart from Hien, and hoping that Shibainu will be available for seals in Kugane :p ). Will be keeping an eye out eagerly!

I'm please RTI will not be included in the new DR. And yay for twine!

The new hairstyle for men looks like it'll be pretty decent, too. I believe there was talk a while back about a flying umbrella mount so I have to wonder if that'll be the event reward for this year's Halloween celebrations.

Silly au ra, you're clearly confusing a drop bear with a koala - the two are totally different (although they look similar, one spends all their time lazing around gum trees sleeping, the other spends their time dropping down on clueless tourists to eat their brains. Only Australians can tell the difference). ;)

That minion is clearly a koala and thus harmless.... :D

Wait, so...

on 4.1 there will be 4 dungeons on expert: Ala Mhigo, Temple of the Fist, Kugane Castle and Sunken City
on 4.2 two new dungeons will enter the fold and... 2 will be downgraded to a new "lvl 70 roulette"? Which ones? Probably ala Mhigo and... they'll arbitrarily choose one between Temple of the Fist and Kugane Castle?
on 4.3 there will be only ONE new dungeon, so what happens then? will they downgrade the last remaining one from 4.0 that wasn't downgraded on 4.2?
then on 4.4 they will do similarly to what they've done on 4.2?

That sounds right. it's really only confusing to think about, when you actually play the game, it's no big deal.

I'm starting to want to Fantasia to either a Lalafel or Hyur because the Miqo'te ears again...some hairstyles and head-dresses are just not good on Miqo'te heads. :(

If I remember correctly that talk about the flying umbrella mount also included "It will go straight to Mogstation"... so I wouldnt get my hopes up there

Exp, Gil, Tomestones, and 2 G5s.. I hope they are joking how is this suppose to get people who cleared already into the 24mans.. Maybe if the exp is crazy high..

I will probably run the roulette once to see the exp rates, but as is this isn't even worth my time.

Still waiting on Red Fenrir SE! New mounts suck IMHO.

Man, that bun style reminds me of my entry in the hairstyle contest (it was a good bit different tho!) so I'm stoked we're getting something like that, at last.

Tier VI materias have already a bloated way to be farmed, grade V materias not so much

may want to watch aussie discovery channel koalas are deadly. they may look cute and lazy, but their claws and rip you appart.

Either way, I want this minion so much. :D

Raid Roulette is DoA to me. I have zero reason to run it based on that information.

Mounts are underwhelming.

Minions are kinda cute.

Hairstyles are atrocious per usual.

T5 materia not as inflated as T6 right now and only T5 can be overmelded so I'd much rather prefer the T5. Regardless it allows people to run a roulette every day which ensures that the raids will at least be SOMEWHAT populated instead of the husks they are now.
